Ideal location
Great hotel for the money. Lots of rooms under renovation when we stayed. They tried to put us in a room at the side of the hotel on a floor where 4 other rooms were being worked on. I went immediately to reception and stated I wanted a different room, at the front, on a higher floor. There was bit of frowning but they accommodated us and our room (804) was perfect. We were only expecting continental breakfast so nice surprise there was a hot buffet too AND prosecco should need a Buck's Fizz to get you going in the morning.

we had a great 8 nights at the Hotel Cimbel staff were very helpful , breakfast was fine , we did not stay full board so only breakfast which was ok

Bo på strandpromenaden
Som vanligt bor man bra på detta hotel. Hotellet ju direkt på strandpromenaden så man har koll på vad som händer på promenaden från balkongen. Bra frukost och middagen är också bra då man dels kan äta en trerätter samt även av buffen. Gamla stan ligger bra 200 meter från hotellet som bjuder på ra shopping.

Nice, comfortable and relaxing! Nice pool area!
My experience of the hotel was nice and relaxing! Room and facilities were clean and comfortable! Excellent restaurant and reception staff. My only 2 concerns I have about the hotel was that: One of the bar staff was rude to me when I ordered a cup of tea! I wanted one cup of tea but was given a pot of tea! I said I only wanted a cup. When I realised it was the same price for a cup and pot, I changed my mind and told the bar staff! The bar man pulled his face and lost his temper slightly with me. My only other concern is that I would expect the hotel reception staff to have more knowledge of transfers from the hotel to the airport. Even thought it would not concern them directly, I found their assistance with me on the day I was due to depart, not very helpful! One of them made it clear that they should not be phoning the transfer company on my behalf as it was ringing abroad which I understand, but I had no mobile as it had been stolen. Other than this, I found my experience at the hotel was wonderful and I would definately recommend it to a friend and would stay there again myself one day.

Nice hotel overlooking beach
Lovely hotel but food NOT 4* standard. no 'live' cooking unlike Sol Costa Blanca Hotel few yards down the road. If Anything the food was better at lunchtime but very poor in the evening! everything is lukewarm! Chips were vile ! Served up heavily breaded cold chicken breasts like you get in Iceland, four in a box for 99p! Desserts very uninspiring! if you are paying for 4* standard as you are at the Cimbel then stay at the Sol Costa Blanca Hotel! Stayed at the Costa Blanca for past few years but thought we'd have a change! BIG MISTAKE!!! Be warned!

¿A ESTO LO LLAMAN HOTEL DE CUATRO ESTRELLAS?
Destacar la situación del hotel en primera linea de playa y la amabalidad del personal del restaurante. Por lo demás, la estancia en este hotel ha sido muy decepcionante. La limpieza de las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear: la ducha con cal, toallas deshilachadas y desgastadas, muestras de champú y gel insuficientes, cabellos sueltos en el suelo. En la cama te encuentras arena en las sábanas y no visten la cama con su colcha. Sólo dos ascensores muy lentos en un hotel de doce plantas. Conexión wifi imposible. Por no hablar de la calidad de la comida que deja muchísimo que desear y lo que sobra de la noche lo ponen al día siguiente. Reservé con varios meses de antelación una habitación individual y aceptaron la reserva pero cuando llegué al hotel resultó que no tenían habitaciones individuales libres, me asignaron una triple y a los dos días me hicieron cambiar de habitación a una individual con el trastorno que supuso para mí tener que hacer y deshacer de nuevo la maleta además del inconveniente de tener que trasladarme antes de las doce del mediodía(hora en la que entraban la familia de la habitación triple) y a la vez tenía que esperar a que limpiaran la habitación individual que iba a ocupar.En resumen, en vez de estar en la playa disfrutando de mis vacaciones, me encontré obligada a ésta situación. Por parte de la dirección del hotel no hubo ningún gesto por el inconveniente causado, de la categoría que supone un hotel de cuatro estrellas.

Agréable séjour, hôtel très bien situé et très belle vue de la chambre. Bonne température même par temps nuageux. Inconvénient : Wifi pas top top, pour le prix de la demi-pension les boissons ne sont pas comprises, autant manger à l'extérieur (buffet répétitif), trop d'attente pour l'ascenseur et très long à monter. (12ème étage). Place de parking indispensable gros désagrément, chaque soir une personne de la réception était stationné devant ma place de parking (numéro 39) qui m'empêchais de sortir ou d'entrer, Obligé de monter a l'accueil leurs demander de déplacer leurs véhicule pour pouvoir manœuvrer. Sachant que le parking est payant de 14€/jours sois 98€ la semaine c'est inadmissible!

Un hôtel au top. Hôtel en face de la plage, avec la piscine. La chambre spacieuse face à la mer et toute l'équipe de l'hôtel adorable. La clientèle est un peu âgée ; en grande partie espagnole. Nous recommandons vivement.

Super Lage, schlechtes Hotel
Die Lage des Hotels ist super und der Strand ein Traum. Das Hotel selber ist sehr alt, minimale Ausstattung, sehr schlechtes Essen und teuer im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Hotels. Für 13 Etagen gibt es nur zwei kleine, langsame Aufzüge, wartezeit also immer 5-10 Minuten. Ich und meine Frau würden definitiv nicht mehr in dieses Hotel.

Best thing about this hotel is its location, close to the beach, night life and the old town. Used mainly for Spanish holidaymakers so you don't get any British lager loudmouths! We went half board but on reflection would probably do bed and breakfast next time. A very peaceful and relaxing stay.

Hotel très bien situé, tres jolie vue sur la mer
Les chaises dans la chambre n'est sont plus très propres et affiche nettement des marques d'usures, le bas de la porte de la salle de bain était rongée par une précédente innondation et commencait à ce decomposer, par contre le nettoyage était impeccable et sans reproche. Les fauteuils du salon du bar sont eu aussi saillit et sâle. Le personnel dans la salle à manger est sans cesse en ébulition sans être vraiment efficace, il se dispute constamment entre eux et cela n'aide pas le client. Parfois on a voulu quitter la salle avant d'avoir fini notre repas. Le matin, 2 machines à café (tres lente) ne suffissent pas pour autant de client au petit déjeuner, il y a des oeufs durs mais pas de cocotier !, il n'y a pas assez de salière, de poivrier ou de set d'huile et de vinaigre pour toutes les tables, et les clients doivent aller emprunter aux autres tables. Suivant la personne qui vous sert à table il faut parfois faire tout son repas (3 plats) avec les mêmes couverts. Un hotel avec toutes ces remarques n'est pas digne de 4 étoiles.

Good Hotel on the beach front.
The Cimbel is a really nice Hotel but it is badly let down by the awful lifts that are way too small and very slow for a 12 story building, also the wifi is very very bad and also frustrating, we gave up trying to use it……..

Right on Beach, 5 minutes from everywhere
Nice hotel, small in comparrison to many others throughout the resort. Room keys continuously failed to work and had to keep getting replacements. Breakfast was ok, lots of choice hot and cold foods.

Excellent well placed hotel and brilliantly priced
I stayed at the Cimbel for 3 nights, I had booked half board. The reception staff greeted me as I arrived and efficiently booked me in, I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered my name when I went down a couple of hours later to sort out my safe. As it was the first week in March the hotel was far from full so I was upgraded from a single at the rear of the hotel to a huge double with balcony and sea view.The room was very spacious with a walk in wardrobe and a good sized bathroom. There was a mini bar fridge but slightly disappointed that there was no tea/coffee making facility. The hotel boasts one of the only pools to front on to the promenade, it was very pleasant and very well serviced by the waitress who was constantly on hand if you needed a drink. I would imagine its a bit small and cramped in summer though. For breakfast there was a good selection of cold meats and cheese and various rolls and croissants for the mainly Spanish and Dutch guests but also bacon eggs tomatoes and some really nice chorizo type sausages which suited me. Dinner was waiter served and consisted of 4 courses, with at least 3 choices on each course. One meal I had was Vegetable soup then smoked salmon followed by duck a l'orange, finished of with fuit and ice cream. All in all I was delighted with my choice of hotel and would be happy to stay there again. Very good value for money.

Een echt zeehotel met boulevard en strand
Een gezellig strandhotel aan een mooie boulevard! Mooie ruime kamer met zeezicht voorzien van prima bed. Royaal ontbjjt en een prima restaurant. Daar komen we graag terug!

Direkt på strandpromenaden
Perfekt läge direkt på strandpromenaden. P-däck under hotellet. Vi bodde med halvpension så middag ingick i priset. Den var helt OK och priset på vin och öl var också bra. Vi bodde högt upp så utsikten över Benidormklippan var perfekt.

lovely position
Lovely position right on the front and great sea views from the large balcony. Beds very comfy! Breakfast was buffet style with enough choice. Evening meal was waiter service but not sure if this is usual or just as not many guests at the time. Food was well presented , freshly cooked and waiters attentive and pleasant. Room had fridge but no tea/coffee facilities which would have been nice. Would stay again

Hotel is in perfect position overlooking the beach
That's the good point, we would give it 5 out of 5 for that. I traveled with my wife who is gluten and dairy free, we did state this when booking the Hotel but got no feedback on this point. We arrived on a late flight about 8.00 pm and rushed to get a meal in the Restaurant by 9.00 pm End of service was 9.30 pm and they were clearing up and getting ready for breakfast. It was a set meal and they knew nothing of my wife's gluten and dairy free diet, they did find her something to eat:- soup, they served her up what looked like weak stock, tasted and looked like warm water! next course was salad followed by plain grilled fish. The Service that evening was appalling, plates and cutlery were just thrown on the table, sadly our waiter was more like Manuel in Fawlty Towers than a 4 star service. We ate in the Restaurant 3 times in all because of the difficulties and our lack of knowledge re eating in the resort and they had no gluten free bread or soya milk and no suggestions during our stay. The service was slightly better with other waiters but not 4 star. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.
