"This hotel makes a Travelodge look like The Dorchester. While the ladies at reception and the cleaner were absolutely lovely and did their best to help, this is unfortunately the worst hotel I have stayed in within the UK. The first room I was allocated had an overwhelming sewage smell. The odour was so strong that I walked straight back out and returned to reception. To their credit, the receptionist apologised and promptly moved me to what she described as one of the newly refurbished...

"Staff were very kind and helpful. Beds were less than perfectly comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of options but some were just average in quality. Overall a good place for the location and price. Thank you, we would stay again."

"What a wonderful stay, we were upgraded to a deluxe room for my husbands 40th without us even asking so that was a lush surprise and very welcome. The staff everywhere were all really attentive and informative. We only had breakfast here but it was absolutely delicious, I would 100% recommend and visit again."

"Great modern hotel in central Birmingham. Has a small spa on site which you can use at a discounted rate as a guest. Was surprised to see there wasn’t a pool there but other facilities you can use. You can’t prebook the spa which is a shame, only hope there’s availability on the day. We had an issue with the drainage in our room, however once notified, staff were efficient at relocating and upgrading us for the inconvenience. I found staff to be very polite and attentive. "A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away."

Sprayed half a bottle in the room and went out to dinner. When we came back smell was still there and still as pungent. TV was also not working so we called reception again. "Out of town location. Property needs a makeover. Carpets overdue for clean or replacement. Room otherwise clean but not serviced daily. Reception staff polite and helpful but don't present a confidence in their product. Overall impression was shabby. Breakfast by 830am was limted to remains of much earlier cooked food. Had to bring attention to staff the mould on bread for toast."
