The view is breathtaking at the rooms. The neighbourhood is just beautiful. I would stay longer to enjoy this view. The prices of food is very premium. Wish it was less. The staff respond very quickly to emails and are helpful. We will come back again. Auf Wiedersehen und danke

Best part was the Views which were astounding from the Inn. However, the receptionist were not very welcoming & harsh in response even on non busy days. They have separate hotels under one name & were asked to do self checking which was not easy. We had our room safe non functional & was asked to deposit stuff at the other property which wasn’t convenient. We loved the view & the quiet.

Dear NikharThanks for your review. We apologize for the issue with the safety box. There is our main building JUNGFRAU HOTEL, there is the reception located. In the annex building ALPINE INN, there is no reception, our guests can do the self check- in there or pick up the key in the JUNGFRAU HOTEL ( as you did). As there is no staff and no reception in the annex building, we have no option to store the luggage there.All the best for you.Kind regards

Good Value

Hotel Annex is in a great location with lots of parking available. The best thing about this hotel are the beds; super comfy, plush, and supportive. The room is a bit spartan but clean and everything worked. Our bathroom needed a bit of work; there was a black something on the shower wall and in the grout. And the showerhead was mounted at about 5 feet up. There was nothing special about the breakfast; basic cheeses, sliced meat and cereals. The only hot food was scrambled eggs and bacon. Overall, I would stay here again just because the price was right; it was a good value. The dinners at the restaurant are very good and I recommend eating there. And the ice cream is from a local boutique ice cream maker, and was quite good.

The location and hotel was good overall. The outside was not well lit and was a bit darker than we would have liked to get around at night. There was a problem with the heater in our room that wasn't working. We called the front desk and they were accommodating and moved our room.

Value for your money

Pro: Value, Location, Self-Checkin Con: Need to spruce up the exterior of the building, Only one key per room, A bit cold because only one heater in the room was working and the one that works wasn’t warm enough, either. I increased the temperature to the max, but it was still lukewarm. Brrrrr~

L’établissement est très bien situé, parking facile d’accès. Très belle vue, jolie terrasse. Pas grand chose à dire sur la propreté juste quelques endroits avec de la poussière. Par contre côté isolation c’est pas top du tout, on entend énormément les voisins..

Sehr zufrieden mit meiner Wahl

Das Hotel mit Self-checkin. Es hat leider nicht funktioniert, da ich von Hotels.com eine lange Reservationsnummer hatte. Aber man kann bei Problemen vom internen Telefon anrufen und sehr freundlich alles klären. Von aussen unscheinbar hat mich das Zimmer sehr positiv überrascht. Renoviert, modern eingerichtet und sauber. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit der Terasse, Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Es hatte einen Wasserkocher mit verschiedenen Tee und Instantkaffee. Das Frühstück im kleinen Restaurant vor dem Hotel war sehr einladend. Schön eingerichtet, die Tische dekoriert, das Brot frisch vom Beck und die Servierdame sehr tüchtig und freundlich.

Ideal to sleep close to the pistes

Great Inn to spend a night or two close to Grindelwald (which is less than 20 min away by car). Frre parking. Quiet area. Spacious rooms. Very clean and well-furnished. Couldn't ask for more.

Clean, convenient, fairly priced, friendly staff

This is a perfectly fine inn; clean, conveniently located, and inexpensive by Swiss standards. Parking is free and convenient which was important for us since we brought our own vehicle. There was a small outdoor area in the center of the inn with patio furniture and a place for our daughter to run around. The views of the surrounding mountains are quite nice and one evening we sat outside for about 30 minutes to decompress and drink some wine that we brought after a long day of sightseeing—it was quaint but quite nice. There is an Italian restaurant across the street which has good food and good service as well, which was perfect for our first night there when we checked in late. It is a convenient walk to the commuter train station linking you to the wider region, but also the cog train that takes you up to Schynige Platte—walking to the station takes no more than 10 minutes, and there are a number of other restaurants and grocery stores within a 10 minute walk. Note, this inn is in partnership with the Jungfrau Hotel. Although we didn’t experience staying in the hotel itself, we did have to check in there (about a three minute drive away from the Inn) and we also ate there on a Sunday evening since few other restaurants were open. Dinner was great and the service was great. They made us feel very comfortable! All in all, if you are a low key traveler who is looking for a no hassle, convenient, clean, and fairly-priced inn, this is the place for you. Great for family!
