Hotel was comfortable, clean, and half a block from the metro. It was also just across the street from a historic temple, and 2 blocks from the jade market and the Temple street night time market. Breakfast was fine but had to laugh when they advertised sausage and it was actually hot dogs. Only complaint was that the beds were really hard.
When we arrived we were dissapointed to have received the wrong room. We had two twins instead of one double. The front desk initially told me there was nothing they could do about it. I came back with proof that my Expedia booking said a double room (which has a single bed pictured). They found a room with a king bed for us. I am very thankful they pulled through as I am on my honeymoon, twin beds on a honeymoon would have been terrible. I'm not sure whether the problem was on the Hotel's or Expedia's end.
Treated to one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. A free room upgrade to a corner room with amazing views of the mountains and harbour plus a late requested check out. Spent my night relaxing at Sugar with amazing views of the harbour and relaxing chill out music from the DJ. I have stayed at many hotels in Hong Kong over the past 12 years from 3 star to 5, East so far is the best. Thank you for an amazing stay. East will be my first choice from now onwards.

There are several buses that run from the center of the city to Ap Le Chau, but at rush hour one can expected to queue for up to 30 minutes. Alternatively, with the cheap & efficient taxi service one can expect to pay about $70HK, $10 USD to the hotel.
The room itself is very small but has all the amenities one could ask, like free bottle water, refrigerator, toiletries, slipper etc. Bed length is only 5'6", which may not be suitable for some westerners.
We stayed in a double room for 3 nights. The room, bath and towels very clean. The layout is super-efficient, with a fold-down table and just enough space for small luggage. If you're claustrophobic, u will need to get the room with 2 double beds.
The hotel staff responded to our emails within 24hrs. They proactively provided the Chinese name of the road when we arranged a midnight check-in, knowing that trains and buses would have closed operations. Upon checkout, they advised us to take CityFlyer bus A21 to airport since the bus stop was just opposite the hotel as it was much cheaper than cab.
This hotel is just off Nathan Road in the heart of Mong Kok district. It is convenient for experiencing vibrant Kowloon's delights such as the markets and street food, and is only a few MTR stops away from Admiralty/Central for the CBD. Hotel staff are friendly and even provide you with a welcome letter with a business card for the hotel manager attached. My room was small and basic, but very clean and tidy. For those that have stayed in Chungking Mansions before, staying here was a huge step up.
nice and quiet environment, under 10 mins walk to Mei Foo MTR. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It will be great if they can improved the set up for the shower area and put in a small fridge in the room.
