This property has been bought by the city and is being shut down. The staff were losing their jobs and did not care about the customers. They were rude and the hotel was not cleaned. Very disappointed!

Live up to what you say and offer.
The check-in went smoothly with a friendly young lady behind the counter. Asked her for a 2:00am wake-up and needed shuttle service to the Tampa Int'l airport. She stated no problem with the wake-up call, and informed me that the shuttle ran every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour, and that I should be downstairs 5 minutes before the desired departure time. Fortunately I set my alarm on my phone as no wake-up call ever came. When I got downstairs, the gentlemen at the counter informed me that the shuttle might be back by 2:30 or not till 3:00. When I explained what had been stated to me about shuttle's running every 30 minutes, he again stated the same. After expressing my displeasure and that I needed to be at the airport, he must have made a call to the driver who suddenly "Arrived". Was not a happy camper when I left.

Very disappointed
1. Only 1 room has a refrigerator however it was unplugged and is stink. 2.The lock blocking mechanism on rooms 481 and 483 are damaged. 3. The dresser in room 483 is missing shelves. 4. No refrigerator and the ice machine on this floor is not working. For the amount we paid we were not expecting these issues. Everytime I travel, I book at Doubletree and am very disappointed.

Exceptional service made it an exceptional stay!
First time staying here and very much enjoyed it. It was perhaps the most comfy bed I've ever slept in. The hotel is convenient to the airport And has a 24 hour shuttle. A couple of things to be aware of: the traffic is very noisy so ask for a room that's not on the highway side. Also none of the vending machines were working that I could find, despite checking multiple floors. The hotel is gigantic, but thanks to the good signage it is easy to navigate. The lobby is welcoming. The facility Is aging a bit, but is extremely clean and well kept. The best part of all was the service, and I would like to recognize the following individuals for excellence in customer service: Debra at the front desk who graciously handled my multiple requests; Kaysia at the front desk who was exceptionally patient with my barrage of questions; Anna in the breakfast lounge who keeps everything running smoothly and super fast service; Venecia in the breakfast lounge who is a true professional and served our table multiple days always with a smile; and Jim with the shuttle service who went above and beyond to make sure I made it to the airport on time, despite my poor planning of time-frames! For an unforgettable experience in Tampa, thank you ALL.

The hotel interior is in serious disrepair. Our room had ants and a cockroach. Additionally there were teenagers and children running around at all hours of the night with no intervention from hotel staff.

Will not honor room chosen on third party site
I did not get the room I chose and was told because I used hotel.com to book, I was only guaranteed a room, not a specific room. I booked a king with a balcony and got 2 queen beds without. It was clean, but needs updating. The room I was in faced the highway and was very loud through windows that did not open. The AC was also very loud. Also when sitting by the pool, the courtyard gets sun for about 2 hours because the larger tower blocks the sun. I will not choose to stay there again.

A very tired hotel that is need of an upgrade. Lifts were not working properly, bath rusty, no in room safe, bathroom door needed refitting and on site bar expensive. Killer for us was room overlooked a 4 lane highway and as sound proofing was so poor we found it difficult to sleep.
