We visited Santorini for 1 week and stayed at Santa Elena Hotel after reading a few good reviews - and we were not dissappointed! Sophia, the owner of the hotel was super nice and helped with anything we needed. She upgraded our room after 2 night. The breakfast was wonderful and the rest of the staff was also really friendy! The hotel is located only 5 minutes from the beach but also has a pool and the local open air cinema as well as bus conection is just around the corner. We can definitely recommend staying at Santa Elena!

Phenomenal. Excellent location. A family operated hotel Sophia and Janos went out of their way to assist with anything small and trivial local questions The pictures so do not do justice to this great hotel A lovely breakfast buffet included. 5 min walk to best beach on island Strongly recommended

The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the beach, bars, restaurant and bus station to Fira. The rooms, reception and pool area were all very clean. The breakfast provided was quite fresh and good as well. Most importantly, the hosts Yiannis and Sofia were very helpful and friendly hosts. They made us feel at home in Kamari, provides excellent suggestions on where to go/eat, and were consistently ready to help us solve any issue. For example, when we wanted to hire an ATV, Yiannis helpfully called both the night before and day of to confirm a hire for us. Thank you to everyone (Yiannis, Sofia, Maria) at Santa Elena, we hope to come back soon!

Great Hotel and Manager
What a nice surprise is this hotel. No far from the beach, just 10 or 15 min walking. Its not do fancy or mordern, but highly clean, the room its large, the shower could be bigger but its ok. Nice breakfast. The manager Sofia is amazing. Great person and super helpfull in snything you need to dtsy in Santorini. Yannes also in the reception is super friendly, they also speak english and perfect italian

Härligt hotell!
Fint och mysigt hotell. Härlig pool! Gångavstånd till Buss (In till Fira), Strand och Restauranger. Personalen (ex. Sofia) var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Kan starkt rekommenderas!

L’hotel è davvero carino, pulito e l’accoglienza di Sofia e suo fratello è semplicemente eccellente. Parlano anche perfettamente italiano e bene inglese e francese. Cercano di farti sentire a casa in ogni momento è sono disponibili per qualsiasi necessità. Danno consigli preziosi sull’isola e sui posti da vedere o ristoranti in cui mangiare.

This is THE hotel to stay in if you’re visiting Santorini. The staff give you around the clock care and cater for your every need. They offer suggestions of what to do, places to go, the best things to do on the island, they book excursions for you if requested. They go above and beyond to give you an amazing experience and it’s safe to stay this is the most welcoming, homely and amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in. 5 stars from me definitely will be back !

Prima pela simpatia, atenção e localização.
Estadia ótima! Sofia, a recepcionista era muito simpática e atenciosa, estava sempre atenta a todos os pormenores e empenhada em que nada faltasse. O sítio era confortável, calmo, com paragens de autocarro próximas e serviço de trazer/levar de/para o aeroporto. Bom pequeno almoço, completo e também com opções tradicionais gregas. Recomendo!!

Convenient home away from home
Great hotel for a short break, especially if you have a rental car as you can quickly drive to the beach, restaurants and the main sites in the island. Everyone made me feel very welcome and even got a better room than booked as there was availability. The only 2 things I would comment on is that the shower is quite small and the curtains should be a bit darker as in the morning the room gets quite bright, but overall good value for money in Santorini.

Very friendly little hotel
We loved our stay at Santa Elena. This small, family-run hotel is very pretty, with lots of flowers and a great swimming pool. Sophia and her brother were so friendly and welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. They booked excursions for us and arranged car hire. The hotel was extremely clean, we had a great view of the pool from our balcony and the room had everything we needed, including aircon, a small fridge and a hairdryer. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the front but we didn’t mind this. Overall, a fantastic stay. Thank you

Excellent Hotel
Me and my friend Michelle stayed here for a week july 14, would defo stay here again. On the out skirts of Kamari but everything what you want within a 10 to 15 min walk. Excellent and friendly staff thanks for putting up with us lol!!! Sophia and her staff were so lovely and very helpful. We had a room over looking the pool the views were amazing, as were the lovely gardens. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very Pleasant, Would Recommend
I stayed for four nights at Santa Elena Sofia, owner of the hotel, contacted me two days prior to my arrival, to ask whether I needed transport to hotel from the airport. This cost 20 euros and the journey took around 15 minutes. The alternative is the take a bus to Fira, and then take another bus from the same stop, to Kamari, where the hotel is. This will cost 1.80 per part, so 3.60 in total, and is what I did on the day of my flight back home. Sofia, and her brother Yannis, speak sound English, and were happy to help me with organizing my daily activities. By the reception is a timetable for the buses to Fira, the airport etc, and information of quadbike rentals. Sofia also has a number of different brochures and leaflets on tours, such as of the Caldera, which I high recommend you visit. My room was on the second floor, with a balcony and a view of the front garden and pool. It was very well maintained, I could not fault it. The front garden is full a sub-tropical plants, trees, and flowers, and the pool is of a good size and surrounded by plenty of seating. The continental breakfast includes mixed fruit, melon, a number of confectionaries, boiled eggs, ham, etc, basically a healthy selection, and eating outside made the experience even better. Finally, the town, Kamari, has a very nice black-sand beach, with numerous (40+) restaurants, cafes, bars, along it. To one side, there is also a high cliff, where old Thira is. All in all, a great experience!

Nice hotel 10 min from beach
Nice place with helpfull owner. We stayed only one night but they were happy to help us with everything we needed. Hotel is about 10-15 min walk from the main beach, if you can't be bothered walking you can always rent a quad or a car to drive around. Hotel has a nice and clean pool also if you decide to stay in for the day. Breakfast is ok, nothing extraordinary but freshly prepared and good for the price. Personally I would prefer to be a bit closer to the beach but otherwise I would definitely recommend Santa Elena.

Very nice quiet hotel / Aparhotel
Great stay at Santa Elena. Wonderfully quiet hotel, or maybe an Aparthotel, Yannis and Sophia are really good hosts - the only reason I say it could be an Aparthotel, is there is no hotel bar or restaurant. Not a massive issue as the town is only a 10 minute walk away, but sometimes it;s nice to have one for the road at a bar on site, or even a drink of something when you're around the pool - it is a great pool though. Continental breakfast is very good, with a great choice of the usual fare. Not right in the heart of Kamari, but as stated it's literally an easy 10/12 minute stroll back. All in all a great stay at Santa Elena, and the staff cannot be faulted at all, so nice.

O hotel fica muito bem localizado! Na praia de Kamari... então da pra curtir praia. Fica há alguns minutos de distância de Thira e a meia hora de Oia. Mas pra quem quer ficar pouco e vai curtir esses lugares uma vez só vale a pena. Gostei da praia. Inclusive tem um restaurante ótimo que tbm serve nas barracas. O hotel é simples... nada luxuoso mas para quem vai usar para dormir e descansar está ótimo. O Jannis que é o gerente é ótimo! Muito simpático... nos ajudou muito. Sempre disposto. Foi o melhor do hotel!!

A very friednly and nice hotel.
The house is clean, not too large, with the rooms and the handsome balconies facing due north (which we appreciated very much, given the temperatures on Santorin island in August). Within a few minutes walk you can find an excellent bakery, a good restaurant, and the bus stop. To the beach and to the restaurants down there you will need some ten minutes, so you will enjoy a quiet atmosphere at night. And if you don't mind an hours walk up the mountain on a solid path, you can reach the excavations of Thera and study vulcanic strata on the way: We did so and can recommend it.

Fantastisk services og meget familie venligt
Samlet set var oplevelsen fantastisk. Servicen var amazing, hver morgen var der frisk brød og hotellet var så hjælpsom og rare mennesker. Fantastisk service virkelig! Alt var godt uanset badeværelset. Det var ikke lige i den bedste tilstand men det var sådan set det eneste der var knap så god ved hotel værelset. Dog synes vi også hotellet lå alligevel et stykke fra stranden og gå gaden. Men hvis man godt kan lide at gå lidt så gøre det vel ikke noget. Samlet set var det helt klart en fantastisk oplevelse og ville give den 4 ud af 5 stjerner.

Amazing hotel close to beach
We have just arrived back home after a 10 day stay with Sophia and Yannis. We have had outstanding service from day 1 and they could not do enough to help with organising anything that you require. We are going back again next year and can't wait. The most amazing holiday ever. The hotel is 10 mins to the sea front and 4 mins to the outdoor cinema which is also a must. The location was perfect. Everything was spotless and clean and the pool is amazing.

Nice and quiet hotel near the airport

Best staff in Santorini and maybe in all Greece!
The hotel is really very nice, clean, comfortable and in close proximity to town. What makes it special though is the caring and conscientious staff on hand. Both Sophia and Yanni work to provide any help we needed. They suggested, transport, secured reservations at a beautiful hilltop winery to watch the sunset, printed our boarding passes changed our rooms just to give us a better view. But really it is their spirit, positive enthusiasm that make staying with them a pleasure and makes the experience a different one than staying in another hotel. We will return to that hotel because of them and know the we will have another restful and positive stay in beautiful Santorini. Thank you once again Sophia and Yanni! Best, Stephen Ireland

Relaxing Santa Helena
Wonderful authentic small hotel, 7-10 min from the Airport. Very clean, wonderful surroundings with a blue pool and blooming trees. Freshly cooked breakfast. Friendly smiling staff. Convenient location to the local beach and bus stop to Fira. This place is mostly for the quiet relaxing vocation and if you are an energetic couple or friends who like to party late then I would recommend to stay at Fira or Imerovigli.

Love it!
Such an amazing little place. The staff was so accommodating. I traveled to Santorini alone to meet up with my boyfriend on the following day, and so the one night I was at Santorini alone I chose to stay at this hotel. I had forgotten to include breakfast but that was given to me for free!! When I left I was told I would be very welcome to return with my boyfriend for a cup of coffee and some pool time (sadly we were driving around the island all week so we didn't´t manage to do this, but it was such a sweet gesture!). Close enough to walk to the beach as well, great place that I would highly recommend!

Amazing staff and hotel
As two single friends, we stayed for a week at the Santa Elena. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Beautiful hotel and gardens with an amazing pool and pool area. Sofia, Yiannis and the rest of the staff cannot do enough for you - we know this is what everyone else has said but it's true! The cold buffet breakfast was plentiful and always freshly prepared. We cannot stress enough how clean and well-cared for this hotel is. It is in a central position for the beach, bars and tavernas. However, it is a good ten minute walk which is slightly uphill on the way back (we managed it and we are not spring chickens!). If we HAD to find a fault, it would be the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although Sofia was more than happy to make us these whenever we asked. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return......

Great Hotel
We had a wonderful stay and the hotel was clean and weLL kept ,the hotel staff were friendly and helpful in every way, Sofia was knowledgeable and helped in advicing us on were to go to see things in the area. Wold be our first choice to stay there when we return to the Island again.

Lovely quiet hotel - totally recommend
Really nice & quiet hotel only 5 mins from the centre of Kamari & the beach. Rooms extremely clean & comfortable - Yanis & Sofia who run the hotel were very welcoming, friendly & relaxed and very helpful when ever we had questions etc. Would recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Kamari.

hotel buono con personale super!
piccolo hotel posizionato in una zona molto comoda per girare l' isola, un po' isolato dal centro di Kamari che si raggiunge comunque rapidamente, vicino all' aeroporto (si sentono gli aerei), che accusa qualche anno come confort , comodita' letti, televisione (si vedeva un solo canale),ma partendo da questi presupposti e' sicuramente un ottimo hotel rapportato al prezzo davvero buono. come note positive sicuramente la pulizia ottima, parcheggio comodo e gratuito, piscina e posizione , wifi gratuito. Una menzione particolare ai gestori Sofia e Iannis che hanno fatto davvero la differenza, super gentili e disponibili, utilissimi per organizzare e trascorrere una fantastica vacanza nell' isola, consigli su cosa vedere, dove mangiare, cosa visitare. Davvero superlativi (parlano italiano molto bene).

Pulizia, ottima colazione, posizione favorevole, disponibilità e grande gentilezza di Sofia che gestisce l'hotel hanno reso il nostro soggiorno un incanto.

Hotel semplice e carino :)
Il soggiorno è stato molto gradevole. Il personale disponibile e gentile, e la cosa molto piacevole è che il personale parlava bene l'italiano e ci consigliavano sulle cose da fare. L'hotel Santa Elena è in una posizione comoda, vicino al mare ( Kamari Beach). L'isola è davvero stupenda e consigliamo di girarla in quad o in scooter per vederla nel migliore dei modi:) una vacanza da rifare assolutamente! Ps. Consiglio di andare a mangiare da "The spring" a Kamari e da "Sol n Mare" a Perivolos, vi trattano molto bene :)

Ottimo Hotel a Kamari
Magnifica esperienza in questo splendido hotel perfettamente gestito da Sophia e dal resto staff. Siamo stati accolti in un ambiente familiare e, grazie alla preziosa collaborazione di Sophia abbiamo visitato al meglio l'isola; è diventata per noi un punto di riferimento durante la settimana. L'albergo si trova a 5 min a piedi dalla spiaggia di Kamari e in ottima posizione per raggiungere (con i mezzi) agevolmente le altre località dell'isola. Albergo sicuramente da consigliare.

Nice hotel close to Kamari beach
There's not enough to say about the excellent staff at this hotel. Sophia was such a great help to me while staying in Santorini. She was extremely helpful with EVERYTHING. She's kind, generous and very very helpful with directions, where to go and what to do. I asked to be placed on the upper floor (best view) and she took care of it. She even walked me to the bus stop! Sophia is such a great help and amazing lady! Every morning she would have a coffee & breakfast for me, quite good! The hotel room was perfect! Very comfortable, and the hotel itself is close to Kamari/Perissa beach. Very close to the bus that'll take you to Fira & Oia, highly recommend visiting there to view the sunset. Again, you will not be disappointed with the quality of service and comfort, I highly recommend this hotel while staying in Santorini.
