This location is very conveniently located for parking and walking to the Alamo and the River walk. The happy hour , within the hotel for a beer or glass of wine is really nice and the breakfast buffet in the morning was great. This was a great spot to stay while visiting San Antonio.

Loved the atmosphere of the Hotel Gibbs. Staff was friendly. I am disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I reported hair on the shampoo bottle and makeup splatters on the frame of the bathroom mirror, light switches had not been cleaned. The front desk clerk noted it for the cleaning staff and apologized. Honestly underwhelmed with that response.

Old and dirty. Got the executive room got a dungeon instead. One window faced a dark spooky wall the other window faced the roof.

Great hotel, cool interior once an office building and they left a lot of the old charm. Could see Alamo from room, close to everything you need. Full breakfast which was great. Would come back.

I don’t really write reviews but we loved it here. I came here with my 4m/o and two friends of mine. All of the staff were so nice and always helped out when needed. My favorite was the valet (Jose) who is just amazing. I even got to take a Little walk w him! I hope I get to see him again cause I didn’t get to say bye! The rooms were nice and a good size. I loved how big the big the windows were. I could see the Alamo right outside.this is getting a little long so 10/10 I loved it.

The rooms are filthy, there is dirt buildup on the doors, what appeaered to be urine that had dripped down the wall in the batroom, shower had soap scum buildup all alond the outter tiles, the sheets and pillowcases had stains, the headboard had stains (very nasty) the rooms smell they are hot as ac didn't work, the beds are NOT pillowtop as described they are lumpy prison mattresses on a piece of plywood and all of this after the man at the front desk spent 15 minutes being extra rude yelling from the desk in our face and down the lobby complaining and chastising us because we arrive after midnight despite numerous attempts to phone the hotel with no one answering but he wouldnt stop yelling to hear that he did it to another couple right after us, al.ost as if he rook pride in it and im sorry if you take pride in anything thats hurting your guests that have driven 6-7 hours to arrive you are definitely falling behind in the hospitality industry because there are places within the same block that will treat you above and beyond hospitality expectations. I do not recommend staying here. Save your money and stay at a hotel that is nice. The photos online are a dupe. Stay at the Westin, the Drury or Courtyard for the same price and they are not like the Gibbs.

The Gibbs Hotel is definitely a place I want to visit again. It was a quiet area, very close to the Alamo and riverwalk, the hotel had a nice modern style, while still holding on to restore items from when the hotel open. 10/10.

We enjoyed the beautiful property. Great breakfast and refreshing fruit infused water at the front desk. Old fashioned flair from preserved parts of hotel, but absolutely loved the updated, comfortable accommodations. Was a fabulous stay!

Stayed here for wine fest even though we’re local. Great location right next to the alamo and short walk to riverwalk for dining and drinks. Bed was a little uncomfortable but overall the hotel and room was super clean. No major complaints. We attempted the breakfast but wasn’t very appealing so we opted out.

En general estuvo bien, la cama muy cómoda, desayuno muy rico, trabajadores muy amables, limpieza en los cuartos todos los días, muy cerca del riverwalk , nos quedaba todo a pie… lo único que pudiera mejorar es el costo del valet parking (45usd x noche) pero pues la mayoría de los hoteles del centro lo cobran aparte. Fuera de eso todo excelente, recomiendo al hotel Gibbs.

Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Wifi was super slow and kept disconnecting in the room, so basically we didn’t have wifi. Breakfast was okay and although they were in the chafing dishes, they were pretty cold.

Hotel is walking distance to the Alamo, Riverwalk and shopping. Some areas of the hotel show dust, like on baseboards, counters, windows and in the floors. Breakfast is great.
