I went to this hotel to celebrate my birthday. The place is paradise when you first get there; however, a lot to improve in specific areas.
Tulum is extremely hot, and most areas including the Kin toh restaurant have no ac, part of the experience, yes; however, electric fans at the restaurant are not strong enough to maintain a balanced temperature when dining.
Room has AC; however, it stopped working one night when we got to the room. They came and fixed it but it was about 25 minutes with no ac and room was hot. Only one -two plug outlet in the entire room, and it’s far from bed and sink so my wife had to get ready next to the window pluging in the hair straightener and unplugging our phones.
Also extremely low light. Two bulbs, a main one in a beautiful hanging lamp, super low light that is not useful, and another purple light that is low more to give ambience lightning, oh and yes many candles, with matches that you can light up which is beautiful but for getting ready is horrible. My wife had to use her phone and a mirror for light to put make up on. Oh also get ready to “go to the bathroom” with a light that barely makes a difference
One night it rained and we had water pouring from the ceiling, when we called they sent two ladies with 3 towels so we could put them where the water was pouring… not the best solution but that’s what they did.
