Good hotel in a good location.
Lovely hotel with clean and spacious rooms in a good location in Paris. Two night stay was well worth it. Check in was excellent and service was very good. Continental breakfast was okay. Will definitely stay there again.

Our room was lovely and huge for paris! I felt safe and comfortable the 4 nights I was there. I loved the big bathtub and spacious bathroom. The property is under construction and a bit strange but I only slept it the hotel and didn’t mind at all. The room is great for the price.

great hotel but no hot water?
First, I have to say that I loved this hotel. the location was perfect and the room was spectacular as were the cute restaurants. The breakfast left a little to be desired, considering the price, but it was fine. The issue was that the hotel's shower had no hot water. The sink's hot water worked fine, but it appeared the issue was due to the fact that the water handle was put on incorrectly onto the shower. you couldn't get the knob to point to the hot. I repeatedly called and visited front desk and someone would come and try to convince me the water was "fine". it was not. it was absolutely not- especially compared with how hot the water got in the sink. For as much as we spent on this hotel, I never did get to shower. I was elated when we checked in to our next hotel and I finally got to shower.

We discovered only 2 of 10 power outlets in the room actually had electric power. My wife plugged in her hairdryer and it blew the fuses throughout the room and all lights went out. Property was simply not up to handling the demands of guests

Nice rooms with terrible passageways
This hotel is undergoing renovations and although we read reviews that stated that, we booked anyway because the new rooms looked really nice and could accommodate our large family group and the location was great. However, the rest of the hotel was awful and you had to walk through it to get to your room. Dark, smelly hallways with dim lighting and stairs. Also I took a pretty nasty fall in the lobby on an unmarked step going up. They called paramedics due to my bleeding head and bruised leg, but I refused to go to hospital. They gave me an ice bag and never checked on me again or asked any of my family if I was ok.. I also emailed them prior to our arrival to confirm they had guest self laundry on premises since web site said they did. Well, it was a few blocks away, directions in French and locals were not very friendly about helping.

Construction and freezing cold showers.
During our 3-day stay, we had no hot water for 2 days. When we brought this up with the hotel front desk they said "sorry". The staff was responsive in other matters though. Aside from the issue with having to take freezing cold showers, we learned we had to ask to have the room cleaned each day. There was also construction going on in our hallway. Total renovation to the point where there were wires hanging from the ceiling, loud hammering, drilling, etc. There are plenty of other nice hotels in the area. I'd book one of those if I could go back in time.

A small suitcase with valuables was stolen by the staff when doing my room this week-end, and the hotel management barely reacted, simply stating that nothing was taken. Horrible experience, which i am reporting to the Police today. Strongly not recommending to stay in this hotel.

I like the location, close to the Rue de Rivoli, but the problem is they give you a password of WiFi and it does not connect. You have to go down to the lobby to get internet. I may have well have just done internet at all of the cafes in Paris. It was very inconvenient to not be able to get things done in my room. If I had known there was no internet in the roon I would have chosen a different hotel.

Paid full price for a hotel of this class and location, but, at least on my floor, the construction made the hallways look more like a war-zone. Asked to be relocated to another area, but was refused by a rather arrogant and self-involved receptionist on the day of arrival. The person minding the reception desk the morning after, by contrast, was very friendly.

This was such a beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay. Parts of hotel were still under remodel but the newly renovated rooms were outstanding!!! And the staff was helpful and lovely. Enjoyed our breakfast as well. Thank you!!

As other reviews have stated, this property is undergoing what seems to be a big renovation. The lobby and hallways were subpar; they felt a bit grimy and halfway fixed up. Our room, however, was surprisingly quite lovely, updated, spacious and clean. There were some security issues (the safe didn’t work and the door had trouble locking). It wasn’t a terrible place to spend a few days, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again, unless the overall state of the building improved.

The property was undergoing renovations. However our room más clean enough and comfortable. The location is excellent. There are many nice dining options walking distance. Expedia charged us more for the stay than the property. However Expedia reimbursed us for the difference.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Booked a specific suite with city view. Was told that it wasn’t available until the next day so I capitulated and said I’d stay in the smaller suite looking into a dirty hotel center they gave me for one night. Next morning, I was told that of course there was no other suite available as they were completely full. Even after showing I booked and paid for a larger suite with a city view. I understand overbooking issues but the woman at the front desk was doing her best at being rude and dismissive. “What do you want me to do?!” Absolutely no effort in making their mistake right. The location isn’t worth the hassle. Would never book again.

The room is big and spacious so is the toilet. For me the hallways and entrance don’t look very pleasant or inviting. The bed was comfortable. The location is great very convenient for everything.

This property definitely needed an update, but it did a totally different redo. Unfortunately it has now lost it's classic and historic feeling. It now has the feel of only there to make money! The two young men at check-in are the only nice and good things left about this place. The girl at check-in must definitely be related to someone to hold this position. I have never encountered such an unprofessional and dismissive person in the hospitality field as this girl is! I have stayed here many times, have recommended it to many people and have brought many people with me to stay here. Unfortunately those times have now finished!
