I loved the layout of the property and the wonderful pool and hot tub! The food and drinks were amazing with a farm to table philosophy! Most of the staff were very kind and accommodating! Our favorite was Caroline, she checked us in and was so helpful. It has a very laid back feeling while also offering many luxuries. This was our first visit and we hope to have the pleasure to return sometime soon!

This is a hidden gem near downtown Palm Springs. We are in the short term vacation rental business and also focus on luxury accommodations. We really appreciated the beautiful grounds and the layout for dining. 10 stars for their morning breakfast! As first timers we felt check in was awkward, as there were no signs to direct you from the parking area and you had to drag your luggage through the pool area to the bar for check in. When we checked in we made our dining reservations and were told they were full until 8:15. While we were waiting around, exhausted from the days travel, a couple requested a table for dinner and stated they did not have a reservation. They were shown a table immediately while we waited another 90 minutes. Then when they were done we were told we could have that table and someone else was then seated there. Bottom line is that we felt hotel guests should be given some priority for dining. We canceled our reservation for the next night and ate downtown. Overall the stay was very pleasant.

We loved our 4 night stay (Mon-Fri) at Sparrows Lodge. We wished we did not need to leave. The room is very cute, and the common rooms are cozy. We especially enjoyed the room with the fireplace. We ate at the restaurant one of the nights and found the food to be delicious. All of the staff were very friendly. We had timely service of our room each time when requested. The pool and hot tub were perfect. We used the bikes provided to bike to the downtown strip of Palm Springs on one of the days, and these worked great. Parking was never an issue (although we were here on less busy days). The only small issue we encountered was our neighbouring room guests were playing music late at night, which seemed to translate through our shared wall very easily (as it could not be heard from outside their room). That being said, the overnight front desk staff dealt with this right away when we let her know, and let us know that there is a process for escalating these concerns (we learned that these guests had already been reprimanded once). We would highly recommend staying at Sparrows Lodge, especially if seeking a cozy and respectful environment.

A transdescent experience
The hostess is super friendly and informative. They are willing to provide the best hospitality they can to their guest. The rooms and guest area are aethetically pleasant looking that gives you a true getaway from the city. The room where we stay gives off a cabin in the wood vibes but everything is neat and clean, decor is minimal but appealing, and bed is soft and comforting. Bringing a book to read, a board game to play with your loved ones are ideal. They have free breakfast and campfire with s’more at night. LGBTQIA+ friendly

The property is uniques, relaxing, and quiet. The staff is phenomenal. They cater to everything you need with maximum efferent and always smiling. I would definitely stay her when I come to Palm Springs. It is a place for adults to unwind and relax.

Loved the design of the barn and the property grounds. The art was terrific. Attention to cleanliness and keeping the property well maintained was appreciated. The food was fresh and delicious. Bravo to the chef. The staff was warm and friendly showing genuine care and concern. Room 4 - bed too small for 2 people. Next time, room 15. Bikes need gel covers on the seats and handlebars need to be raised so they don’t bump legs when cycling. Tires were not pumped up. Better yet: new bikes. Chris the GM was delightful. A wonderful stay….

Loved the ambience and the fact that they allow dogs so I was able to bring both of my fur babies on our trip. Beautiful fruit trees gardens and swimming area. The only issue are reason for the 4 star review is because of staff member Brianna. She was extremely rude during our entire stay and not just rude to us but other guests as well. We spoke to another couple who were staying in the hotel and they said the same about her attitude and negative demeanor. All other staff were incredible and displayed excellent customer service. I am unsure why this person works here seeing as we paid over 1K to stay for 2 nights and I expected a fabulous experience with the upmost customer service. I am still in shock at how she spoke to us and other guests and hope management will address this issue. Other than this one person, we had a great experience. We enjoyed the firepits, dinner, and our room was perfect.

Beautiful stay but service could be more intuitive
For context this was the last leg of our 4 week honeymoon road trip. We were originally meant to be in Mexico but due to bad weather we decided to come to Sparrows for the guaranteed good weather. Pros - Beautiful property, really stunning looking from the rooms, pool/communal areas to the garden. - Amazing massage with Richard Cons - Level of customer service isn't what I would expect for the cost - Reception isn't clearly marked. When you arrive you go to a small building which has reception vibes but isn't. Then you get to the pool area but the reception/check in area is in the main barn which has the bar and a large table with people eating. Over the course of a week we saw several couples arrive perplexed as to where they check in. Could benefit from some signage. - 1st night there was a huge cockroach in our room. I asked reception for some kind of bug spray for the room and I was simply told 'this is Palm Springs'. They said they would give the room a once over in the morning but no one came. We were by the pool the whole time so would have seen. - Requested an Amaretto Sour, received an Amaro Sour. I was told they're the same thing. They're different spirits - was annoying to be told they're the same. Thankfully we weren't charged for this mistake. - Breakfast should finish at 10am but they start taking it down at 945. Others were annoyed by this too. Not once during our stay were there bowls out, they had to be requested each time.

The staff at Sparrow’s Lodge makes it a top notch experience! Very minimalistic, great to unplug and just relax away from technology. The menu has limited options, but is so delicious. I think we tried almost everything on the menu and savored each taste. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience and I will be returning.

Cool design for the area, especially the back garden. The pool is nice and the little lodge is also aesthetically pleasing. However, there was no trash can in the room, we had three cockroaches, they use blinds instead of curtains so light wakes you up, the tub in our room was a very uncomfortable metal bucket-looking thing. The floors in the bathroom were concrete. Also no phone in the room to call for room service. The staff was very kind.

Great stay at an adorable place
The Lodge is just as described. It's completely adorable and relaxing. And it's got a farm-chic or glamping feel to it. Everything is safe and clean, but it's homestyle, such as our door didn't close tight against the doorframe such that you could see light coming through. But to be clear--no bugs came through at all, just saying there are little quirks like that. The staff was so completely generous and kind. They really made our belated anniversary getaway so special, and we thank them for that. Dinner was yummy. The breakfast is very continental--bagels, bread, cereal, hard boiled eggs, tea coffee. Just what you need to get your day started and lay out by the pool. The pool was clean, lots of lounge chairs. We were there during the week and it wasn't very packed with people, no idea how the weekends are during tourist season, but this was calm and peaceful. Our room had a fenced back patio which was so charming. We could use it early morning and eve, but it was too hot during the day. The shower part of the bathroom is a little drafty since it's open to the room, which might be a problem for people who don't like that. We wanted to try the tub but it was taking so long to fill that we didn't try it. It's gigantic for 2 people, but ultimately felt we were using up water during a drought. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Would completely recommend it. Thank you, Sparrows, for the great stay.

The staff were fantastic and check in was a breeze. It was great that they kept in touch with me to make sure that I made it there and they also secured a wonderful masseuse for me; which was an amazing experience! I really enjoyed the breakfast spread and the room in which it was held. The only moment I had to think twice was about getting into the pool. Wish it was sparklier. A lot of sunbathers and their lotion and oils made the water a little too cloudy for me. Loved my room with the tub so it made great water time - along with the bath salts and candle from the spa. I would love to stay again and bring my daughter back with me. Mahalo!

Sparrows Lodge is beautiful, serene, clean, calm, a perfect place to unwind and slow down. The property is clean and recently renovated. It nods to its original form but has be done in simply tasteful way. Everything about our stay was wonderful. From the orange trees on the property, the breakfast display and lunch/dinner offerings, massage tent, to the birds chirping and sun shining, we cannot wait to go back!

The “barn” in the middle of the property separates the pool from the garden. This houses breakfast, the bar and food service. This is also where you check-in and out.
