Having stayed around the same area before but in hotels a little closer to Shin-Osaka Station, I wasn't quite sure whether staying at Hotel Claiton, which was a little farther away from the station, was going to be a good choice. I'm not exactly a picky traveler, but after staying there I can say that the experience went quite well. A few highlights:
Location - still in walking distance to Shin-Osaka Station, and if with luggage it is possible to use the Midosuji subway line to the Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station. Once crossing the train tracks south the hotel is a few minutes away. Overall pretty convenient, and even more so considering that there are many casual restaurants, post offices, convenience stores, and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.
Amenities - aside from usual amenities like toiletries and internet, the hotel also has an interesting 2nd floor equipped with a couple of massage chairs and a communal bath area.
Overall, Hotel Claiton Shin-Osaka proved to be another hotel choice for me, should I happen to be around the area again in the future.
