The new ownership is really trying to make improvements and step up this private family friendly great location and quickly! The new super quite AC system, fresh white walls, comforters, and curtains are a fresh touch. WONDERFUL! Would love to return!
What a marvelous place to stay! We had a cottage for the week but decided to stay an extra night to visit family. We need a room for one night on very short notice. Area hotels not already booked were expensive or required a two-night minimum. We booked here with Coast Village Inn. We called to make sure we had a reservation. The staff could not have been nicer, assuring us our reservation was received and they were looking forward to seeing us! Because it was just one night, we shared a room with our son and daughter-in-law. The room was spacious and spotless with a sparkling clean bathroom. Wonderful shower and water pressure. My son mentioned renting cabins side by side for another trip as the beds are so comfortable and we were so impressed with the service!

Everything was very close by. The staff was great..However, on our 3rd night there, there were a group of people that checked in and sat outside until late drinking, and they got pretty loud. We would stay there again though and would recommend to our friends.

Meh. At least it was clean.
Pros: Very clean; near many amenities; a POOL! Cons: no recycling receptacles; office only open 9am-9pm; didn’t have any complimentary things we may have needed (like plastic forks when our food delivery came without them); NO WIFI IN THE ROOM! (We had to walk outside and stand near the lobby if we wanted any sort of phone service); very thin walls - we could hear every conversation our surrounding neighbors were having; afraid to poop all weekend because there was only about a cup of water in the toilet and it had a hard time just flushing a bit of TP.

First time staying here and I must say it was a delight! Check In/Out very easy. Desk staff so friendly. The rooms have clearly been updated recently. Brand new AC. Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. The beds were super comfy! (4 pillows and a throw pillow on each bed was a HUGE plus. I travel a lot for work and this minor detail was nice) Grounds were immaculately clean. Pool, cornhole and I believe a grill for common use. Area is convenient to food, shopping, beaches etc. There's a park about 6 minutes away with a waterfall (small) and some cool history. Would HIGHLY recommend.

It was ok. We just had the room for sleeping and showering. It was surface clean. I’m guessing they are half way into remodeling. The WiFi was spotty. I had to stand by the door to get a signal. Could definitely hear all the noises outside. Thank goodness for mostly quiet neighbors. I was surprised that someone came into my room to make my beds after the first night. The carpets need cleaned. My socks were dirty after walking around the room. Location was good. Easy access in & out. Staff was helpful when I had questions. The refrigerator in the room was awesome. Coffee maker in the room is a plus. Towels were new and clean. Bed was comfy.

The pool closed all 4 days we were there. No maid service. New owners seem to be more interested in putting up employees then guest there.

I am sorry you feel this way Michael. Although it is true that we purchased the motel to house employees for our restaurant, this is not our primary function. We have been vigorously updating rooms to get them more presentable to our guests. We have not gotten to the area where you stayed yet and had no other updated rooms before your arrival. The pool being closed was not within our control. We are new owners and therefore we are not yet licensed to operate a pool. We have applied for the license and await an inspection to allow for our pool to open. This is more a product of circumstance than anything else. In reference to Housekeeping Services, my wife and I both commented on the Do Not Disturb sign that was hung on the door during your stay. We both felt it odd that you didn't want the room refreshed. This is obviously a misunderstanding as the season has just begun and I have plenty of staff that have very little to do.I would have loved to have you address my wife or I in person during your stay. I know we were there quite a bit. Handling complaints at the end of the stay allows us no time to correct things during your stay.Jim

We were told the property was just taken over by new owner and they are in the process of remodeling. So, I gave it poor marks, but I would wait several months before considering staying there again in hopes that this property improves! TV remotes were not working, and that had nothing to do with remodeling.

Absolute pit. The pool was filthy, unswimmable. Weeds waist high. TV would not work. “BBQ area” disgusting with no way to clean grill, brush, etc. AC unadjustable. The room looks was fairly clean but certainly not even vacuumed. Sand all over the floor. Owner is nice but either clueless or going out of business.

Double Booked-Refund?
I did not stay at this property because my room was double booked so when I arrived to check in owner informed me of this and guaranteed I would receive 100% refund. That was one week ago and I still don’t have my refund. This is no way to treat customers!!

There were literally no outlets in the room to plug in a c-pap machine or anything else. Nothing was updated. The towels were paper thin and worn out and there was zero internet in the rooms. It was a very disappointing stay.

One of the most rundown rooms we have ever stayed in. Door blind was torn, lampshade was torn, sheets didn’t fit the bed. We slept in our clothes because the room just seemed dirty. The price for this small, rundown room was outrageous. We would never stay here again.

I thought the room was extremely clean, my disappointments were that the TV had no internet service. Called the office and was told it would be bubbled up to the owner might be 2 hrs or more. Surprise the office would then be closed. Also, no Air conditioning room registered 80-83 degrees. I would give this location a "7" it was because it was so clean.

Could be great
Beds were comfortable, pool was great. Really enjoyed the grill and fire pit area, would be useful with a longer stay. The room was hot and no way to adjust our air conditioner. By the time we realized this, the office was closed. Staff was very friendly.

The room was very clean, but for 2 people they left 1 bath towel, 6 hand towels and 3 washcloths!!! There was one small bottle of shampoo and 1 of lotion, no body wash. There was no coffee pot and the AC did not work. The pool was only open from 10 to 7, no way to come back from dinner and jump in to cool off. Parking was terrible, we have a big truck and the lot was packed and was very difficult to get into a spot or back out. GREAT LOCATION THO!!! We would not stay there again due to the issues above.

We went for a quick visit and this property was conveniently located for this. We did have a small problem figuring out the AC, but that's because we are not a tech savvy bunch. A short list of instructions would have been helpful. Also, the Wi/fi service was extremely spotty but we had problems with that during most of the trip and that's not a priority for me.

The office is completely closed overnight. We had an emergency situation when a child locked the door with the key inside; it was impossible to contact anyone--they didn't even answer the phone nor did they respond later to the two angry messages I left. The advertised internet is a joke--we were not the only ones very angry--and even in the office area, it's a once-and-a-while situation--THEY KNOW IT AND TOLD US IT WAS A PROBLEM--instead of getting it fixed. My wife was totally unable to work from our room. If you need internet for any reason, this is not the place because it is in a grey area for mobile service on your own phone. There are also traces of mildew here and there in the rooms we rented. Expedia should not participate in furnishing customers to this site.
