Room was dirty, sheets and floor looked like some other guest just left the room. Unable to sleep due to noisy guests that stayed up to 3am drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana just outside our door. We called the administration asking for change of room and after 4hrs they said we were going to be moved to another room, out of the blue, they said no transfer was allowed. Another call was made to administration due to the drunk people outside our room but nobody came until those same drunk guests jump the fence to the poor and get into the pool at 3-4am. We booked for three nights and leave the hotel after our second night just because of an important reunion we had; if not, we were out of that place the very same minute we arrived to the room. Be aware that if you travel with an elderly (like we did), this "hotel" (motel) don't have elevator or wheelchair ramp.

Was supposed to be poolside. They didn't give me poolside. When I booked, the big perk was dining from 6 - 9 pm, as I was working all day, when I asked about the restaurant upon check in, I was told they only did pizza, which they were out of. Floors in room was sticky. Rooms were extremely small. They had my reservation for three people, I had.to go back and get more towels. There was no soap and the fridge was broken. The TV stations were mostly in Spanish, so relaxing was not easy. I travel to Ocala a lot and I haven't experienced anything like this at other hotels. HJ used to be such a a nice place, no more. I won't be going back there.

We had BUGS BAD, kids got ate up and we all woke up at 3am beating off bugs. Old mattresses dirty and uncomfortable. Rooms clean and facilty clean.

So, overall this place has 2.5 stars and I really can't tell why. The 50's called and they want their hotel back. The location is so close to the interstate and ALL of the doors face it, so all day, and all night the traffic from I-75 is droning on. The room itself was drab and blah. The TV was small and not smart. The Jacuzzi tub was as old as I am and EXTREMELY loud. The one saving grace for this property, the staff!! They were outstanding, understanding, empathetic and accommodating.

Unfortunately, we booked two rooms with this hotel for three nights and upon arrival the rooms undated, runned put, smelled of mold and the rooms were dirty. It was like housekeeping just pulled the covers up and over. There was hair in the sheets because they were dirty sheets and bathroom was disgusting. However, the young gentleman apologized and gave us our money back.

The old HoJo feel is still alive around here. The office and lobby are in a separate building across the parking lot. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms are large. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave, no coffee maker but you can request one at the lobby. Staff was friendly and efficient, breakfast was free and good.

It’s an old property, very dated. Staff does the best with what they have to work with. Should not advertise free breakfast, what they offered is pathetic. Basically pancakes or toast.

An older facility but well maintained. Rooms have few electrical outlets, likely due to the age of the buildings. Constructed when people had few electrical devices. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was 9:30am I was still sleeping with my family and one of the staff was yelling outside for laundry or towels and he knock on the room so I yelling that we were sleeping and he opened the door. Check out is at 11am is so unfortunate that they don’t respect the customers.

The reason I chose this motel was because I were driving and it was heavy rain. Very unfortunate decision I was charged like 5 start hotel but nothing so far. This is a driver motel and it is a complete mess. They offer Continental breakfast it is a joke. So stay away from this place if don't want to waste your money..

Staff very friendly and helpful which i give my best review.They responded to my needs. Thank you! Rooms need updating and were in need of deep cleaning. Seems guests live there long term ,which lowered my opinion of the facility. Location good but gave me a low opinion of Ocala at first, but seemed safe and was. Thank you for a safe trip!

Beds were comfortable and room was clean. We were originally given another room, but when we opened the door, it was already occupied and very trashed. Main problem was the shower water temperature which was barely warm. Breakfast was very basic.

We will do our best to prevent and occurences like that in the future because we understand how startling it can be to walk into an already occupied room and we want to make sure that we can make the guest experience amazing everytime. I am so sorry to hear about the water temperature in your shower. I will get our maintenance department to take a look at all our water heaters to make sure they are functioning properly. As far as the breakfast goes, we are doing everything we can to make improvements. We just recently upgraded to pancakes in the morning but I believe more improvements are on the way. The smell in the room was unbearable. It kept waking me up. That hotel should be demolished as there’s a smell of root. I wanted to cancel but there’s no way Expedia will allow this because I had arrived after checking in time had started.

One bed had no sheets or covers, the room was not prepped, room dirty, noisy, if this is Howard Johnsons today-- stay at Holiday Inn Express instead. There is no excuse for this place.

They stay was very pleasant but the were a few roaches we saw and tiny flies but overall peaceful and quiet.

Staff was very friendly. The room had NO roaches, it looked decent (its old but the floor was remodeled so you can tell they’re trying). There was a microwave and fridge so that was helpful and located by 75 so location was good. It wasn’t too bad, would stay again for a quick trip.
