Excellent staff and a wonderful location. Can definitely use some aesthetic updates. Sink was cracked, furniture is old and chipped, etc. But everything was clean and the property was relatively quiet for being right in midtown.

The staff was nice but botched our reservation (they confirmed it was correct/consolidated when we arrived, but then kicked us out in the middle of our work day because they hadn't done it, AND charged us for it and charged us a late check-out fee because we couldn't get out fast enough for them. Awful. And no coffee or other amenities. I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to write this one. I would never go back here and encourage you to avoid this property as well unless they fix things.

Affordable and clean. Not as many amenities as others hotels such as onsite breakfast, but very close to restaurants, including an attached Italian restaurant, as well as stores and many popular attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Fixtures were cracked, dried blood under the bed, no coffee or coffee maker, no ice machine/bucket or vending machine. House keeping showed up at 5pm.Discounted parking was never applied. Close to central park, amd central park. 5 different food options within a 5min walk.

I’ve stayed at better rooms at the YMCA. I’d be upset paying $150 for this room. Save your money and go ANYWHERE ELSE. Worst night of sleep in my entire life. Never again.

The location near Central Park was fantastic, the staff pleasant & helpful and the room was spacious but why I rate this so low is it was so noisy due to construction across the road I barely slept. Aldo the pillows were thin and uncomfortable!

We knew this was an older building so we expected some creaky floors, creaky doors etc we have spent a lot of time in London and are used to some way older buildings. However the mold in the bathroom was more than acceptable to us, in the grout, on the tile and on the ceiling. Only way we could get hot water to the sink was to run the shower which by the way took a significant amount of time to heat up. Then there was the heat issue, radiator not working and it took asking the front desk the morning after we woke up pretty chilly (we are from Chicago so we can do cold) if all the rooms were that cold that we were told that the wall AC unit was also heat. The biggest issue was the wifi.....it was so weak I could not even bring it up on my phone. Eli who obviously lives in the neighborhood had a stronger signal. My Son expected to work in the room which was impossible we ended up spending an additional $30 on our phone data plan using a hot spot for 2-3 hours then he ended up in Starbucks and Penn Station trying to work including doing Zoom meetings. When we checked out and I made a comment I was told "you have to take that up with the cable company" Did not end well for him. We chose this spot because it was marathon weekend and my Son was running and it was close for post race. For what they charged I expected better.

Pro:The DaVinci Hotel was comfortable and conveniently located to events we were attending. Check-in was quick. The attached restaurant was convenient and the food was delicious. Con: There are no phones in the rooms which was a safety problem for us because the guest in the room next to us was banging on the wall and screaming at 2 and 4 am. Didn’t sleep a wink. Reported it in the morning to the front desk and was told the manager would be notified and we should hear back. No e-mail, no compensation.Where’s the customer service???

It was a quaint small, older hotel. It would have been nice to have a view, not a brick building (the window was frosted). A little claustrophobic but I tried to remember that with the price of it in New York. It was clean. And the location to everything was the absolute best!

It was a cute little place, and clean , but I was unimpressed with the room and the television( we couldn’t get it to work). I liked the location and there was a restaurant on site, which was very good. We could walk where we needed to go. It was quiet. The room was just ok. It was definitely overpriced! The sink was cracked and the floor was sinking in. I’m not sure I would stay here again. It was just ok..

Loved the quaintness of the hotel. But needs improving...quality and condition of mattresses, internet connection was very poor. The hotel could offer some amenities...like coffee, water in the lobby, complementary water in the rooms.

I don’t get how this is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are too small with pretty old furniture and sheets, but maybe this is average for NYC.

This is an older (and cheaper) hotel. The room was small but refurbished and fine - bed a bit soft. No hot water facilities but we asked for and received a kettle to make tea. AC was right next to the bed but was quiet enough (and powerful enough!) so didn't bother us. Only big negative was the mouse. Yes the MOUSE! There was a bloody mouse, possibly more than one living behind our cupboard. Second night I lost a whole night's sleep playing catch-me-if-you-can with the inquisitive rodent. Light on, runs into his hole. Light off - out he comes again. And he was noisy - patter patter and then trying to go through our bags. And sometimes squeaking. Not sure how common an issue this is in older NY hotels - this one was fairly close to Central Park, where I have also seen rodents. The other newer hotel I stayed in did not have mice. I could probably have asked for a change of room, but I was tired and it was the middle of the night. So be warned when choosing older and cheaper hotels - this might just go with the territory. Apart from the mouse, this hotel was mostly fine. LOTS of restaurants nearby. Oh the TV service was so poor as to be unusable, so don't expect to watch CNN here. If you are not terrified by mice and are mostly going to be outside anyway and on a budget, you could do worse.

The Hotel is very basic, I had an issue using the TV, Diffuclt to find what I wanted to watch, I have never had this problem in a hotel before, The Air conditioning got shut off at night, did not care for that in August,
