I stayed in the biggest room on the 15th floor and I liked it. It did have some minor flaws like it did have some stains on the carpet and it’s not as updated as most hotels but it was really roomy and I got to enjoy the balcony they had. Overall it was a great experience with my wife and I wouldn’t mind going back for the price I paid

There are bugs and mice. I changed rooms 3 times and still had one or the other or both. They don’t clean the rooms before you check in. Rooms smell horrible. Matt at the front desk is really nice tho

Wonderful place to stay at while in NYC
The Marmara Hotel is a lovely place to stay. The staff is extremely personable, helpful and always greets you with a smile. It's located in the upper East side (94th Street and Second Avenue) and worked very well as a place to stay while my husband was hospitalized at Mount Sinai for 16 days. There was a shuttle that ran every half hour or so from the Marmara to the hospital and back which was extremely convenient. The facility was quiet at night, which allowed for good sleeping.

False advertising!
Room did not look anywhere near as nice as the pictures. Nobody at the hotel was authorized to help me except the manager, Roger, and he was useless. Better to pay less and stay at the Marriott Courtyard nearby.

I appreciated the room upgrade via Expedia VIP especially since my flight was a late one and I didn’t arrive at the Marmara until 10:30pm. The room was nice and spacious And all staff were extremely helpful and kind!!

Nice lobby, location and very friendly staff, however our suite, although quite roomy, was super dated (just like the hallways) and the sofa/sleep sofa beyond uncomfortable so a rollaway had to be requested for the extra guests. For these reasons I would not stay here again.

This is an older hotel in need of upgrades. However, the place is clean, our room was huge and the water is hot with good pressure!

Awesome!
This was a gem hidden in the upper east side of Manhattan! All the comforts of home and an amazing view with access to all of NYC via the Q!

Loved that they had what I needed for the kitchen and that it was very spacious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only thing that I was unhappy about was that we were supposed to get two king beds and we didn't.

Run down property
There is very little maintenence performed on this building's interior and exterior. And it is badly in need of some work. Street noise very late at night and again early the next morning left me sleep deprived. Thank goodness I only stayed one night.

There was plenty of space and fun views from this updated building. The room was clean and the kitchenette handy. We appreciated the new mattresses. As in many older buildings, a couple more electrical plugs would have been a bonus. Great water pressure.

MSK hospital visit.
very run down, old, and tired. Windows filthy, bathroom tiles cracked , grout dirty and gross near tub. did not want to use the shower. The closet had a dirty dust rag in it. The windows were filthy. Lobby was nice, but hall was very dark. We expected much better for the price. Very disappointed!! We will not stay again

I will definitely stay here again. Very spacious, nicely appointed 1 bedroom suite with full living room and kitchen, 1 1/2 baths with a balcony. Very convenient to where I needed to be. My son lives just a few blocks away, so I will be visiting a couple of times each year. Q and M Metro station right outside the front door! Staff were very friendly. It is an older building, so a couple of quirks. Very quiet - didn't hear neighbors or traffic.

The building is very dated, it sorely needs an uplift. Our rate was $300/day, it is too expensive for the experience it provides. The hotel personnel was excellent.

The hotel is very outdated in general. The lobby is not inviting at all. The hallways are very dark. The sofa bed mattresses in both rooms were in very poor conditions. No bedding was initially available for the sofa beds. It is conveniently located.

Please think twice before booking
Unfortunately this hotel is so outdated....The furniture was scratched, the sofa soiled, windows dirty - carpet old and soiled - staff was helpful but I would certainly not recommend this hotel. The walls in bathroom chipped - bathtub drain stopper broken. I could go on but not worth the effort - bottom line very disappointed/

A perfect location in the city for a family with small children. Rooms are large and the kitchen has everything one needs. Some drawbacks were that the shower head was fixed, the interior was a bit worn and can use some renovations.

It was in deplorable condition. Stains on carpets, both in room and hallways. Furniture scratched and in need of replacement.elevators appeared to have some problems.Jerky movement and needless movement noise. In short hotel needs a major refurbishing.

Very spacious one bedroom suite with 2 closets and plenty of storage space including 2 closets. A well stocked kitchen to prepare and eat meals in ( coffee pot, electric kettle, toaster, etc) and supplies ( dish liquid, paper towels, dish rags, coffee/ tea items). A nice sized bathroom with storage space and large thick towels. The room was clean and quiet. Maid service daily. Front desk & doorman/valet very friendly and helpful. Grocery store ( Key Foods) 1 block away and may restaurants in the immediate area plus hotel provides a list. Some reviews say the halls are dark and the elevators slow - this is true, but not a major issue to me as there were so many perks about the actual room itself. This is more of an apartment hotel for those interested in self catering which I was looking for. The lobby area itself could do with a refresh making better use of a nice space, but overall the Marmara Manhattan meet my expectations perfectly.
