Great location. Reception staff very friendly at check in/out. The room condition was good overall with a new sofa and mini fridge. Room cleaned every day except Sunday. For the price and location great value. Probably needs a small safe in the room. Stayed 7 nights and floor in room was never vacuumed even though rest of room cleaned. Pillows super soft need a couple of firmer ones.

I honestly can’t say we enjoyed our 3 night stay! The place in desperate need of renovation, hardly “upscale” and the photos must have been taken 5 years ago. It’s old - visible stains on the carpet, sofa and chairs. The corner spa is old and needs to climb into it to use the shower, which just felt awkwardly installed. Air con is old and filter needed changing. Sofa and bed springs felt like they were broken for awhile...

A great place to stay in the heart of the city, easy to get to on the tram. The room was clean and the amenities were great, and made for a very comfortable stay. All in all a perfect stay.

Very good location. Apartment is very clean and tidy with all the necessary amenities. However it may be difficult to get attention from reception as there were no one in sight at the reception desk nor a bell to ring for assistance during their working hours. Had to call multiple times also to the reception from the room line before someone picks up to assist. Nonetheless, customer support was great once I've managed to grab their attention.

Lovely spacious apartment incl washer & dryer and a nespresso machine was unexpected! Spa bath also unexpected but no plug to fit which I guess was intentional. Construction started at around 7 near the apartments and was very noisy. Our room was subpar. The furniture was in good condition but the bathroom smelled of mold, the fan in the bathroom had mildew growing on it, my shower took over 3 minutes to give hot water the second time I used it. Scuff marks all over the walls and carpet missing/threadbare in the bedroom. It felt unpleasant and unclean.

Pros: The property was conveniently located. Very comfortable bed. Check in and check out process was quick and easy. Mini Nespresso machine Cons: dirty bathroom. Mouldy tiles and shower chair. Spills on bathroom floor as though it hadn’t been properly mopped. Very very noisy laneway location but it was a Friday night. Room was light with blind allowing street lights into room. Whilst the bed was very comfortable, there were only two pillows in total.

The property is in a great location, however our room (404) has quiet alot of mould growing in the bathroom. The room also spelt of mould however we got use to it. Not enough bathroom amenities (shampoo conditioner and body wash) were provide.

The apartment is very dated and the cleaning is definitely sub-par. We had to ask 3 x times for vacuuming to be done properly as there were several obvious areas which had not been cleaned for some time. The grouting around the very dated spa bath is coming away and black. The fridge freezer was faulty - we asked for that to be looked at - suspect the fridge temperature was lowered as it froze the water, however the freezer needs cleaning out and did not freeze. Suspect we were given the answers we were looking for without the actual required results. Would not recommend these apartments, nor will we return.

A loud location as it faces an alleyway & there's a glass door and windows facing it. It's an older place so the carpet was dirty, cracked grout and mould. Wifi didn't work, I had to bypass a security setting to get it working. It's in a great location right in the front of The Chinese Museum in the middle of Chinatown so great walking distance to trams, restaurants and shopping to get amongst the city.

My wife and I stayed at Punthill Little Bourke some years ago and loved it. Sadly, my recent stay was a disappointment. The facility is very much showing its age, even though we were told we'd been given 'renovated' rooms. I was a bit embarrassed to have brought friends from overseas to stay there. My friends and I were particularly unhappy about the various unpleasant smells in public areas and in the rooms: A combination of very strongly perfumed/scented cleaner, combined with musty stale air. Even with the windows open for hours, it would not go away. There was even some graffiti in my friends' room! The hotel is in an excellent location, seconds away from loads of restaurants and convenient to most places in the CBD. I hope it can be returned to its earlier condition.
