Like a squat.
Room was so damp we smelt it before we entered the room. In fact I didn’t even enter the room it was that bad. We were shown a second room that was almost as bad so we have our money back. If I was sleeping rough on Picadilly Gardens and I was offered this place, I would seriously think twice about taking it. Unless you’re a Man United fan, in which case it’s perfect.

I have never stayed in a hotel where I haven’t found a single positive. The room was filthy, with the thinnest mattress I’ve ever seen, dirty bed sheets, damaged furniture, freezing cold, shower tray casing had fallen off and was lying on the bathroom floor, mould and yellow scum on the shower walls, incredibly noisy.

Fantastic property and super friendly staff. Clean sheets, nice room... Paper thin walls. I got drunk and managed to sleep but sober I wouldn't be able to sleep with those tiny walls!

Terrible, be careful booking.
Stayed here before and everything was good, so had no hesitation booking it again. However this time thing couldn't have gone much worse. First of all when booking it mentioned that there was 24 hour check in however when I arrived at 9.30am I was told check in wasn't until 3pm, meaning we were left wandering the streets in the freezing cold for hours. After checking and being absolutely frozen we hoped to get to our room and warm up a bit, however it took us by surprise when we found out our room had no form of heating at all, meaning we were left sitting our room with 3 layers of clothes on. Also, the room had a leaky toilet which was giving off the most unbearable smell to the point both myself and my dad nearly vomited. The beds were uncomfortable and creeking all night, meaning we got very little sleep. Finally, when we did complain we were told there was nothing that could be done. Definitely won't be staying here again.This is a classic case of never judge a book by it's cover, it looked good when booking but when we stayed it was just awful.

I had to wait over 15 mins for someone to come to reception to check me in when I got to the room it was freezing and no heating available there was damp patches on the walls and the toilet was not fixed to the wall and moved every time I sat down and when I asked for breakfast I was given a paper bag to go with orange juice a muffin and a banana terrible stay as banging constantly throughout the night bottles smashing etc

Old property and hence not very present in the room and communal area. Feels like this is a place for lads who are doing night outs. Hotel smells very bad, hopefully they can also feel it. Bed was okay but could be better. Low cost so can’t complain

Ok, I like quirky, but come on...
I appreciate the quirky character of the converted warehouse and I can even overlook the total lack of windows (I’m not sure it was specified when booking), but... - there was no heating, room was cold and shower mouldy. No vents either. After drying my hair couldn’t see anything in the mirror for at least a couple of - the overpowering lemon smell! Everywhere! disinfectant probably used as air freshener, honestly gave me a headache and couldn’t even open a window - I stayed 2 nights and both times the tv came on by itself at 9am. The first morning I had gone to sleep at 6. Terribly unpleasant - bed was thin, old and uncomfortable It’s a good idea in principle, it’s got character, space is decent for the price, bathroom nice size too, but if people has to sleep in there without windows you should have some sort of air con. Please sort the telly and please please please get a proper air freshener or just let it smell, that’s pungent and sickening. Thanks

It is an old warehouse - this means only two rooms have windows! Request a window and chances are you will not get one. Most of the facilities are great in the lobby but actual rooms are very basic and have seen some better days.

Ambience in the reception and bar area was good however the room was terrible. The room smelt badly of drains. The extraction didn’t work and there was no window you could open to alleviate the odour. Also the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I was glad to leave.

Every review on here has me and my GF cringing about our stay but we were pleasantly surprised. Yeah it’s basic, yeah the room didn’t have a window but we paid £40 for the night so we weren’t expecting a red carpet (or any carpet for that matter), to be rolled out. Nothing wrong at all with the room or bathroom. Clean enough and the staff were always really friendly and ready to help

Cold, dirty, run down. I liked the quirkinesses but the facilities were poor. The shower was mouldy and there were cobwebs in most of the corners. I appreciate the ‘industrial’ vibe, which is part of its quirky charm, but the basics of hygiene and comfort still need to be observed. The bed was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable, basically a very cheap mattress on a wooden platform. I attended a conference in the cellars, and the noise from overhead made it impossible to hear the speakers at times. Although it was convenient for the conference, the lack of food (there’s nothing!), comfort and cleanliness meant that I wished I had stayed at the Premier Inn nearby.

AMAZING
WOW! Amazing friendly staff!! Beautiful place! The room was small but I didn’t need too much! I was out and about the town most time with help from the desk I was able to make a suitable journey plan. From shopping , food, drinks, and outings the staff was informative and excited with me. While the entrance and the lobby are cool and trendy, the corridors are glum. The rooms themselves are small, windowless and have no thought in the ammenities; kettle cords that dont reach the floor/desk, broken furniture and are incredibly hot. When it came to 11am, check out time, all staff seemed to be outside on a cigarette break.

The post industrial decor is different and quite nice, but there seems to be absolutely no soundproofing. Someone was walking around in heels until midnight and then again from 6AM, and I was woken by other guests at 2. I thought they were outside my door, but judging by their footsteps they were miles away! The staircase also made a deep reverberating booming noise. Maintenance didn’t seem great. In my room, 2/5 bulbs were out, the extractor in the bathroom didn’t work, and the shower tray was cracked. Also there was no power socket near the kettle. Staff and location were excellent, though.

there was no window in the room so the temperature was too hot and uncomfortable. the room was very tiny. towels for the shower were too small and like hand towels. plasterwork on the walls was damaged in places. Breakfast was basic and described as continental. Total rubbish. In fact a room at Strangeways would have been a better option. i wouldn't board my dog here.

Horrendous - I did not stay - the room I was given smelled strongly of urine. The receptionist was rude when I complained. The manager was "in a meeting" and still has not called me back despite my requesting it a week ago.

A nice enough hotel sat next door to Old Trafford football stadium. As the name suggests it is an old warehouse, which has been decorated in an industrial style. Lots of exposed brick, industrial furniture and steel shutters instead of curtains. It was not a luxury hotel by any standard but for £60 for the night including breakfast it was fine for what we needed. The rooms have everything you would expect from this price bracket, tea and coffee, hairdryer (although it was a bit temperamental at times) and some toiletries. The finish was a bit rough in plac5e, a bit like it was done as a DIY projects. This wouldn't put off visiting again.

'Quirky' as claimed!
It maximises 'industrial chic', and is most definitely 'quirky' as it claims in its publicity. It was fair value for money, and everything in the room worked as it should, but I did not try the television. I would like to have a bit more at breakfast, particularly cereal.

What you pay for and not for staying in the room.
Don’t expect windows, frills or a bed that doesn’t sag a bit. Otherwise, not too shabby at all. It’s a young persons gaff and pretty industrial. They ramp the prices for events locally but I get the feeling they’re abused by the football guests, so no surprises.
