Everyone that works here was so nice to us from the moment we arrived. They left us a bottle of sparkling wine in our room on the day of our anniversary which was nice after a day of exploring. Our room was quiet and the jacuzzi on our private terrace was a great spot to relax. The hotel and restaurant were very clean. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Madrid!

Reception area is bare - not consistent with 4 star hotel. No seating; no ambiance. Staff all very kind and helpful however.

I throughly enjoyed my time at iberostar las Letras. The area is safe and fun to walk around. The hotel had nice amenities.

Location great. Staff lack of courtesy and friendliness! Noticed they were friendly to English or other language speaking people but not if you are Spanish speaking person (not from Spain). Very disappointing!

Hice una reservacion con tiempo y seleccione que no era reembolsable, sin embargo 15 dias antes trate de cancelarla y solicitar un reembolso. Expedia me apoyo en la gestion, recordandome las politicas de la compra, sin embargo a pesar de ser una cancelacion con tiempo, el hotel decidio apegarse a su norma (lo cual esta publicado) pero no comprendio ni empatizo mi situacion personal, simplemente, en su beneficio unico. CERO CALIDAD HUMANA... si tienes un problema, simplemente, eres un numero mas para ellos.

Close to everything and very beautiful staff that was always able to help us. The room was perfect and the view was great. This is a very nice hotel. I strongly suggest getting the breakfast included in your stay. It was worth it for us. Safe travels!

I loved my comfortable, quiet room with a balcony overlooking part of Gran Via. And the staff could not have been more welcoming. They let me check in at 10:30 a.m. when I was only expecting them to store my bag until the afternoon. Also, after I arrived in the room, a staff member set up an adorable film-themed welcome of Coke and movie snacks accompanied by a sweet note. I didn't get to check out the roof and pool, as I was there in Feb, but I'd love to stay here again in warmer weather -- or anytime. Thanks, Iberostar Gran Via for a lovely introduction to Madrid!

This is an incredible hotel with an amazing staff. Great breakfast. We loved everything about this hotel except that it was noisy outside way after midnight but we did stay by Gran Via so it's understood.

The staff was super helpful when we arrived early and tired. The room was clean with quite a bit of sound proofing from the outdoor traffic. Great area, so much shopping, food, coffee right out the front door of the hotel. Metro is only a few minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

This is not a 4 star property but rather a 3 star. There is no lobby, just a front desk. The hotel description was misleading. It was just ok. I wouldn’t stay there again particularly for the price.

Amazing property, the key word is location, location, this hotel is in the gran via, in the center of Madrid, easy walk to all the major attractions. The staff is also very friend and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful reception team. We enjoyed the welcome courtesy of a glass of Cava. Room was comfortable, and spacious bathroom. Worth mentioning the option of drawing filtered water at will. The small balcony with panoramic view to the street added contact with what was going on outside, great experience!

Enjoyable Madrid Stay
Quick 2 night stay in Madrid, hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Hotel lounge & cafe were very good, especially the cocktails, recommend an old fashioned. Hotel is Central and within walking distance of attractions, museums, bars & restaurants.

The nicest front desk staff we encountered on our entire trip. We had booked a room with an outdoor hot tub but we didn't love the room (not worth the extra money unless you really want the outdoor hot tub experience). The raised deck outside made the room dark and it was raining so we had no use for the jacuzzi. So we asked to be moved and were given a much prettier and lighter terrace room. Our sons had their own room and it was amazing, with curved walls and a wraparound view. I don't know what class of room it was but ask for an atelier room (up a private flight of stairs) off the 6th floor, with curved walls on the window side if you want a sweet space. It's narrow but really cool, with a sitting area to one side and large bathroom. The staff sent up champagne and cake for my birthday, a nice surprise!

Overpriced - I would not book it over $150 USD
I had stayed here many years ago and booked it this last time because it would have the same look and feel. A Spanish group has purchased it, and here it is 100% the reality. 1. Location - Good but crowded, depending on what you're looking for. 2. Hotel is not suitable for children under 12 3. Staff needs to have real-time information about events and or shows, the process to get any information was ridiculous, and I ended up booking in 5 min online. 4. The rooms are awful; they are small, have old furniture, cheap curtains, and overall, 1990, with some paint touch-ups. 5. Hallways were dirty; look at the walls where the scratches and dirt are apparent. 6. Shower pressure is GREAT, and so are the shower products. 7. There is no single adapter for the USA to EUR, and a modern hotel must have this and include a C plug next to the USB. I don't have photos, but I am back in Madrid often and can share these if I have to.

This is not a 4 star hotel but rather a 3 star. There is no lobby to sit and gather in. The restaurant is a separate entity. The location is busy but the rooms are quiet. We had higher expectations as a 4 star hotel.
