Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn't praise them high enough. Room nice and warm. Relative to cost good value for money. Disappointing there was one cup in room to share. No milk. Tray with sachets of coffee /tea on dirty. Half opened sugar sachet left from previous user.

We had no hot water so couldnt shower....we were told we couldn't order breakfast as they couldnt get the staff !!!

A nice. Country pub to stay at
The accomodation is above the shamble pub. The room was large onsuite over looking the public car park.where you can park your car.Which is free from6pm to 7.30am.The room was value for money .with TV tea coffee and biscuits. The food in the pub was excellent with a great choice .

Stayed here as a low cost option for the British F1 Grand Prix with my son. Conveniently close to the M1 / A5. Basic accommodation that was all clean and functional....just don't expect the Ritz for £65 per night! We got a really nice friendly welcome, wifi and great food in the pub so couldn't grumble. With a few little tweaks, like easier access to sockets and a few hooks about the place for coats and towels I'd rate them even higher. Free parking for the property is limited, but the local car parks are adjacent and free overnight from around 2000 - 0800 which suited us, but should be considered if staying during the day. Overall happy with our stay and would stay again!

Great freshly cooked breakfast included in room price but dinner was disappointing quality. Rooms were poor with bad lighting, uncomfortable mattress and not very clean but ok for £50.

Excellent for the price
Excellent for the price (£30 per night without breakfast). Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Bit noisy till the pub closed but that was to be expected. Good no frills hotel.

Nice pub with clean comfortable rooms.
Good location for Magna Park, reception was warm and welcoming. Food was good and plentiful. Excellent place for working away.

The property is lovely from the outside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is dated, dull beige and brown, twin room is compact. The shower is also dated but it was a hot shower. The evening outside was a little noisy and could be heard from our room at the back. The breakfast you had to pay extra on the day, but it was very nice.

Room was like a box, it was noisey, the shower was a trickle, then cut off, it looks good, but its not good, book as a last resort, no breakfast, unless you told them in advance, as the cook has to come in just to make your breakfast.. I went to Waitrose for a coffee and bacon roll

I only stayed one night for a company function. The room was clean.staff were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was fresh cooked. Overall i enjoyed my stay.

Shambles
Disappointing check in was not offered to purchase breakfast was not welcomed just literally here’s your room. The toilet had been used and was dirty and not flushed. I was shattered and had put my pjs on as I had been moving my daughter to area fm Merseyside so did not want to get dressed again and complain !!!!! The tv had hardly any channels. The kettle didn’t fit under the tap in the smallest en suite I have ever seen. The shower curtain was dirty. The bedding didn’t feel fresh !!!!! I was very disappointed at £50 a room !!!!!! When I checked out I had to go and find someone to give them my key the whole experience was pretty vile. The pub looked nice but the rooms in my opinion are cheaply done, noisy and grubby.

Very quaint old fashioned pub the restaurant was very good service and quality of the food was excellent, rooms are basic the bathroom has the smallest sink hardly enough to wash your hands,also it can be a bit noisy due to there are tables outside under the bedroom windows, but overall the cost of the accommodation and the food makes up for that, one point it states on Expedia breakfast is extra but it not its included in the room price and its very good.

Sink in en-suite did not work had to brush teeth and wash hands after bathroom use in the shower although reported to owner it was not dealt with. Shabby room with lots of external noise. Rented out to workmen on long term let. Altogether an extremely disappointing stay. Staff very brash and not personable.

Outdated and overpriced
Very basic room, very costly parking in short stay car parks, which means having to move vehicle regularly! Didn’t feel welcomed when checked in more of a hinderance and no hairdryer on premises to use.....

The staff at the hotel are lovely, the food was excellent and for the price the rooms were very much value for money. I was dissappointed about the car parking, but that was mainly my fault by not double checking but the staff could not do enough for us, the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Avoid if wanting to sleep!
We stayed in a Twin room on a Saturday night, the room was above the pub kitchen and noise traveled from both within the building and the grounds due to terribly thin walls and single glazed windows. The locals were gathered both outside the room and within the car park making an incredible amount of noise keeping us from sleeping untill they eventually left around 2am to our relief unfortunately the staff from the bar remained continuing to chat and disturb untill 230/3!! If this wasn’t bad enough the temperature within the hotel area as rediculous the heating was on full and as you ended the main corridor it hits you and of course due to the astronomical noise levels we were unable to open the window. The service was ok, room appeared clean and the beds were quite comfortable however one of the head boards were broken and caused to wake every time you moved due to the sounds. The ‘ensuite’ Is essentially a cupboard with a shower, sink and toilet which the seat was broken. It’s clear that this is a pub first and the add of if a hotel is an after thought - perhaps best serving the pub goers who have had too much to drink needing a space to sleep it off and totally unsuitable for guests who are looking for somewhere to rest and sleep !! £60 for a 4/5 hrs poor sleep not what we were after and not what I would recommend.

Theatre trip
Perfect for our trip to Kilworth Theatre. Every one was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast set us up for the day . Would definitely use again.

No frills and good value
No frills, clean and tidy, pleasant staff. I was expecting more road noise but this wasn’t an issue - noise from the kitchen / fridge equipment was more intrusive. Would stay again, and have no problem recommending the Shambles.

Great location & super friendly staff! We wanted a place to stay close to Stanford Hall for Long Road Festival and The Shambles ticked all the boxes. Nice comfy bed and a hot shower - perfect place to get a bit of kip at the end of a busy day out. The building is a bit old & creaky and the rooms face onto the pub garden, so there was a bit of closing time chatter, but that’s to be expected when you stay above a pub. Lutterworth is a great little village with nice coffee shops, pubs & restaurants and the local taxi firm was very accommodating ferrying us back and forth to/from the festival. All in all, a very enjoyable stay!

Good comfortable room.
The pub was nice with very good beers & had a good restaurent. The room was cosy and had everything you need & the staff were great, very friendly. I knew it was a pub so expected that enviroment to 11.30 but the location seems to be a rallying point for meeting friends late in the evening so still fairly busy after midnight. The main problem was the other residents, despite notices asking them not to slam doors, be quiet on the stairs etc, just basic consideration for other tenants, the weekend i was there was a constant stream of slamming doors, thundering up & down the stairs & shouted conversations.
