Friendly Vintage Hotel...but better when it’s cool
There are so many nice things about this hotel. The location is great, the staff is friendly, great breakfast and a cool vintage building. But...there is a trade-off when it comes to heat and noise. On a hot day, the rooms are warm and when you open the windows the church bells ring at every hour. So pick your poison...noise or heat. If I were going back in the winter, I wouldn’t think twice and would go back here as the windows have good sound proofing. But in summer I would only recommend to those who love the heat or can sleep through everything.

Overall good. Elevators stop midway between the floors and requires one staircase walk up/down in all floors which could be challenging for people with knee issues.Shower stall size was decent and controls intuitive for tourists.It is 2 stops from train station. Trains/boats/buses are all located in city center at one place which is very convenient for tourists. Had to ask for directions from hotel. It would help if that information is provided on their website.

Great hotel in a great location!
Great hotel in a great location close to the centre of Lucerne. The hotel is in a pedestrianised street so it would have been useful to know beforehand that we could drive right up and stop outside to unload our bags however, a minor point as our stay was excellent. Lovely room with a tiny balcony, lovely buffet breakfast and we took advantage of the valet parking which made it really easy.

Overpriced for what you get...
They are in a cute, super old building, so I feel kind of bad complaining about this. BUT, it was 90-95 degrees when we were in Lucerne and it really sucked having no air conditioning. Also, for $300+ per night, I would love to get more than one chintzy little towel per person. Otherwise, the staff was nice. Breakfast was good.

This is an historic hotel that is small but has a great charm to it. The staff was very polite and helpful. This hotel is close by to all things to see and do in Lucerne. Only about a 3-5 minute walk to the Lucerne to Kriens bus that will take you within a 12-15 minute walk to reach the gondola station that will take you to the top of Mt. Pilatus. The lunch there is excellent and looking for a nice treat try the Cordon Bleu. They have a wonderful inside restaurant that gives you a comfy feeling. The breakfast was not too big but doesn't need to be they had a decent enough selection.

Very well located hotel at a reasonable price. When I first entered the place it felt a bit weird because it feels like an old house with small rooms. But as I stayed, I realized the place has a quaint old world charm about it that fitted right in with what Luzern is all about. The equipment in the rooms was all modern though and all the basic needs were well catered for. Hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was nice.

If you are over 6 feet tall this room will be a challenge. 6 ft tall ceilings and then light fixture lost 3 more inches. Great location and very nice staff. No AC Room was so small and short that I had to laugh. Close to everything

Very nice authentic hotel in an excellent part of the city. Very short walk to train station. Right across from the lake. Many food and shopping options a short walk as well. No AC in our room so it did get a little warm as we were there at the end of July/beginning of August. Hotel staff is amazing and the breakfast they serve every morning was great!

We enjoyed our time very much. Staff was wonderful and the location is very good. A bit noisy with traffic but the room fan provided helped to drown it out. The only complaint was the room was quite hot...although we can’t really blame the hotel as they were experiencing some record warmth in Luzern-Old. Overall very happy with our choice in this price range.

Great hotel in city centre
Good hotel in a great location right outside the Church with two spires. The hotel looks more like a old house which is what it is or a hostel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the regular fare. Walking distance from all Lucerne sights. Its right outside the Church. The lion monument is a couple of blocks behind and 6 to 8 mins walk from station

A glorious hotel.
Fabulous hotel nestled below the Cathedral. Possibly the friendliest, most courteous staff we have ever encountered on our travels. They could not have been more helpful and made our stay very easy, comfortable and welcoming. The food in the hotel is simply amazing and breakfast is so varied and plentiful. The room layout (room 128) was really well thought out with large windows making it bright and airy. A wonderful find for our first visit to Lucerne.

Nice and Simple...
Nice and simple hotel. If you want to stay in the middle of it all, this is the right place for you. A short distance from buses, shops, museums, boat rides. The train-station is in the other side of the river, but you can walk or take the efficient Swiss transportation. The rooms are minimalist, there are some stairs to climb, so pack light. The restaurant downstairs is great for a traditional Swiss meal. Had a great time in Luzern, I hope you do too...

One night in Luzern
The hotel is a short walk from the train station and many other sights in Luzern. My room was larger than I expected, a nice surprise. The breakfast buffet was standard for a Swiss hotel. Only minor complaint is that the walls are thin; could be a problem if you have noisy neighbors.

old World Charm
We love the old world charm of the Hotel Restock. Incredible Location right next to the Lucerne Cathedral, Lion Monument, Bourbaki Museum, Glacial Garden, Lake Lucerne, free transportation any where in the city! Lovely breakfast included. We love this hotel and have stayed here before. Wonderful accessibility to the Lucerne Music Festival and all the other outstanding places to visit in Lucerne.

Lovely traditional hotel. The staff were great and very informative and helpful. Breakfast was typical Swiss, and very nice. It is very close to a church and the bells could disturb some people, but the windows are really well sound proofed. A Swiss train pass is a great way of getting round.

The room Fridge had mouldy Food in it, Very Basic but Comfortable except for the beds ... hard - again how much does it cost for good beds $500 euro? 2 Nights Accommodation!!, Breakfast was Fantastic, No so good without air conditioning. Shower Low Pressure, needs a revamp.

Great location!
We had a nice but short stay at this hotel. The staff were great and we realized our electrical adapter wouldn't work in Switzerland so we're able to borrow one with deposit. The room was large and nicely decorated in a very modern way but it was hot and noisy when. Windows were open.

Fabulous location. Walk to everything. Views from our room and balcony were amazing. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wonderful breakfast. Great to have bar and outdoor restaurant on site. Bed not as comfortable as other places we have stayed. Would highly recommend to others and would definitely stay again.

Met a very kind reception on arrival and during the whole staying at this hotel which has kept its soul, people at reception were always very helpful, got an up-grade from a single to a double room, ask for a room in the historical part of the building, nice atmosphere hotel is very well placed to visit by foot the numerous points of interest in the city of Luzern, the quality of the Hotel is also reflected in the restaurant serving delicious plates.

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic spot. Even though we arrived during a music festival, the hotel was still quiet of an evening. Comfortable beds, lovely breakfast, lovely character and the shower was great. Rooms were spacious the pillows were luxurious.

Quaint Old Hotel close to Lake Lucerne
The Hotel is quaint with a decent restaurant and a very friendly staff. The major problem we found was the lack of air-conditioning. The three days we have spent there were very hot and humid. Our room, although not big, had four double windows with a view of the main church and of the mountains. At night, with all the windows open the temperature reached comfortable levels.

Centrally located hotel to walk anywhere.
Staff were always smiling and there to make sure you have everything you needed. There were always a bucket of bottles H20 (the temperatures were extremely hot and steamy). It was a life saver and utmost needed. Thank you.

Traditional Swiss style hotel in town center
This hotel features many intricate rooms decorated in classic Swiss decor. It's situated right in the center of town amongst many other traditional hotels, bars, and restaurants. Only downside is that there is a beautiful chapel right next to it that's bells go off frequently, and the stairs are so old that they made a loud creaking sounds every time someone passed my room. Would definitely stay again great value for the cost and great location.
