I like the room design which includes a couch with a pullout bed in the rooms. Would like to see them improve the Wi-Fi access as I was at the back of the hotel and could not get connected to their "free" Wi-Fi amenity the entire stay, even with following the suggestions of the front desk staff. Will most likely stay here again but will be requesting a room closer to the front of the hotel where the Wi-Fi signal is stronger.

You can tell the property was once a nice high end place to vacation. Unfortunately, the years have not been too kind. The rooms were adequate, beds were comfortable, and the room was relatively clean. But they would definitely benefit from a renovation. The AC in many of the rooms worked, but not terribly well and did not work at all in at least one of the 5 rooms we rented for our team's stay. Overall, it was a decent property for the price we paid, and has a ton of potential to be very nice. Currently though, it is just a bit shabby.

There were multiple people living in the hotel, bags of dirty clothes sitting in walk ways, garbage piled up, room smelled like bug spray, beds were extremely hard, no tv in the couch area just a hole in the wall where it looked like someone stole the tv. Elevator reeked of smoke to the point we took the stairs. Definitely would not stay again.

This property was filthy, they put me in a room that I did not reserve, the elevators didn’t work, the towels were dirty, the blankets were dirty. Everything in general was not good.

Room I reserved was not available? So they downgraded me to a horrible room. Was not credited the difference. Room we found a Roach crawling on the wall. Bath tube was rusted bad! I have pictures if needed.

Coming across this post I was very intrigued in staying in this property due to pictures advertising the hotel. Entering the lobby area seemed to be promising on what the property offered due to its infrastructure. Leaving the lobby and exploring the area to find a parking space we found to come across broken down cars, abandoned vehicles, and homeless people living in the parking area. After parking our car and stepping foot on the property we found that the safety door latch that can only be opened by a key card was forcefully being bride opened by a pice of rubber leaving free access entry for uninvited quest to enter the perimeter. Attempting to located our assigned room was a maze while exploring the property to locate it we came to the cruel realization that this property was being used by permanent residents. These residents exposed their residence throw exposing had washed clothes drying out on balconies and hoarding conditions. Stepping into our room we found that the area we were going to rest for the night was nothing like the photographs posted on this post. Rooms had no installation and were freezing cold, with no type of temperature regulating thermostats. Carpet was dirty with ripped up pieces. Foul room order smelled like urine mold. Bathroom where outdated and dirty with left over toilet paper and hair clogging the drain. Bedding was limited with covers and covers that were provided seemed to be poorly washed.

Location is just off the freeway but in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast provided in breakfast hall is nice to have especially traveling with kids. Large room with sitting area.

It looks nice from the outside, but once you leave the lobby and enter to where the rooms are located everything changes! Our first room had such a terrible smell and clearly showed signs of poor housekeeping that we had to request another room. Rooms are very dated and in both rooms we stayed in had a bad odor. When walking around the hotel property it just looked so run down and shady!! They offer a free breakfast, which is a terrible experience. Dirty tables when you walk in. It’s not even a restaurant.Its an old banquet room with a few tables and chairs. Limited food. When we arrived they ran out of food. It took so long for them to replenish that we had to leave to get to our appointment and never did get to eat. Although we were actually quite happy to leave this establishment anyway. Now after reading the reviews on this property and seeing it for ourselves, we would never recommend this place to anyone.

Spacious rooms is what I liked I did not like the fact that they were so outdated and the rooms were very dirty. Homeless living in the property or a shelter not sure what was going on but balcony you could tell people were living there by the boxes on the balcony bicycles and old cars that had broken windows

Do not stay here! This is a very outdated property. It was beat up and ugly everywhere. They allow long term rentals so people are living here. There were clothes hung up on the balconies. There were sketchy people all over the place. The pictures posted are not what you should expect. The restaurant and bar were not open on a Friday night, a FRIDAY night! There were only 2 towels in our room and they were tiny. You couldn't even wrap yourself with them. Please look for something else and spend a little more money for your safety and peace of mind.

This place is sketchy! Graffiti in the elevators and people that were obviously living in the hotel (one step above homelessness -- hanging their laundry from the balconies, etc.) The room itself was adequate. Definitely dated, but overall reasonably clean. Our family did not feel safe at this hotel and would not recommend staying here.

It appears that there are people that live here and most of the rooms are empty. It's kinda creepy but at the same time no one bothers you. The greenery did make me feel like I went on an vacation to an island somewhere which was nice.

We booked a 2 room suite, which was very nice, newly updated, and comfortable. Plenty of closet and storage space, TV, and King bed in bedroom, and a little kitchenette, and a TV and desk in the roomy living room. Some of common areas were a little lacking in maintenance, but the impressive structure and tall palms was reminiscent of British Bengal!

It is out dated and very dirty. Staff was rude and breakfast staff very rude. When you go for the free breakfast everyone in ur party had to go they will not allow you to get food for your kids and husband .

The staff was very accommodating unfortunately the hotel does not provide them with a lot of help. If anyone has played the Fallout games it gave of that kind of vibe. 1st room we stayed in the AC did not work. They switched rooms and the AC really didn’t work any better in that room. The temperature dropped 1 deg after running for over 12 hrs. The floors were laminate and were very dirty. The faucet in the bathroom leaked badly and the sing was obviously clogged and there was no stopper in it. When you walked into where the breakfast was served it made you not want to eat. Felt very dirty, unorganized and off putting. This property was at one time very nice and has a lot of potential. I hope whoever own it now will invest in it and make it a great place to stay which if can be.

The property is nothing like the pictures. While the gardens are lush and pretty, there were boarded up windows, the facility is run down with visible cracks and broken things all around, and vehicles with flat tires and cobwebs in the parking lot. We could hear the water pipes bang against the wall every time neighbors used water. The room shook when people walked by outside (3rd floor).

What I like about the property is the unique sense of style, the lobby looks vintage “ Art Deco” style. And the elevator is clear glass. Also there night staff is outstanding, Frances is very helpful. Remmel was very accommodating, Frank from the gift store very welcoming, the maintenance people as well, Mr. David was very acknowledging of our stay. Thank you Vanllee Hotel your Awesome!
