The Biltmore Hotel hosted the Academy Awards eight times from 1931 to 1942. The hotel has multiple ballrooms tied to Oscar history, including the Crystal Ballroom where the Academy was established in 1927. The Oscar statuette design was created by Cedric Gibbons at this location. Luise Rainer made history at the Biltmore by winning consecutive Oscars. Every hotel guest room is adorned with the presence of renowned actors and actresses who have previously stayed. The hotel is conveniently situated in a prime location with easy access to various modes of transportation including the metro, buses, and taxi services. These transportation options will take you to popular attractions such as Hollywood Boulevard (15 minutes by metro), Universal Studios (20 minutes by metro), Beverly Hills (22 minutes by car), and Santa Monica (18 minutes by car). Additionally, you'll find supermarkets like Walgreens and CVS within walking distance. There are also plenty of late-night dining options nearby. This Hotel has a grand lobby and impressive meeting and dining halls. The staff are responsive and a repairman came and fixed the heating system at 11 PM. The rooms though are very dated with small bathrooms. The internet, part of the resort fee package, was extremely slow. The water temperature in the morning was lukewarm. The self-parking is in an adjoining structure which is somewhat inconvenient to access. All in all, if as much effort was put into making the rooms comfortable as was put into making the lobby and meeting venues grand, this hotel could easily be a terrific hotel.

We love the convenience of the location. It's close to the olaces we want to visit and see. The rooms have adequate space and they clean and provided ys with clean towels everyday for the 3 days that we were there. What we don't like very much is the front desk staff/ reception, they were not very friendly, never bothered to explain were we would find things or the way to our room or where the elevators are.. Wish they were more welcoming and nice. But iverall it was a good stay.

The property was very nice and everyone was accommodating. We did have one issue with our bathroom however, the lock to the bathroom was on the outside of the door and the lock got jammed, but other than that, it was phenomenal.

They don’t tell you in their description that it’s right by skid row and many homeless camps. The staff was unresponsive and unhelpful. I felt very, very unsafe walking outside at night. For spending $230 after parking, it was the least bang for my buck ever. The room was old and semi clean. Didn’t have remotes for the tv. They don’t have clean water so you have to ask for it at the desk whenever you need a drink. It was terrible, and I wish I could get my money back.

Iconic hotel! Loved the gallery walk, showing so much history; amazing to think of how many famous people walked the halls. Updated enough & clean. Staff was friendly enough but mostly kept to themselves. They were filming for a tv show in the Gallery Bar too!

The hotel is well located and there's always something being filmed at their facilities. Rooms are spacious enough, although mine had some stains in the bed sheet and I was out next to the lifts, so could hear them in the morning. Parking is quite expensive $70 per day, but the parking across the street is $20 and it's 2 minutes walking from the hotel.

We stayed 1 night to attend an event. The staff was great, parking was easy as we used valet. The room was very nice and the hotel property has such great history. We toured the property, had buffet breakfast the next morning. Very nice. Lovely property.

We loved staying in this property.. everything about it was wonderful. We felt like we were movie stars from the 60s or 70s. Be aware though walking east you’ll be in a not so pleasant area
