Approaching the metro and railway station. You can walk to the major areas for shopping and dining to such places as Chinatown.

Perhaps the most contradictory hotel in London
Book a low-cost hotel near any big-city travel hub, and you get what you pay for (and yes, under £100 a night in London is a budget hotel). This Comfort Inn is intriguing: it's an American motel shoehorned into a beautiful old London facade, shabby decor and everything you'd expect from a Comfort Inn/Travellodge stateside. No frills and a free (tepid) breakfast and wifi thrown in. It's contradictory; brand new and spotless bathroom with a slimy shower head; old and worn (and they open!!! yay!!!) sash windows in keeping with the architecture, and a wonderful view across the rooftops towards the much more expensive St Pancras hotel. No bedbugs (I checked, I felt I had to check) and surprisingly quiet and peaceful so close to Pentonville Road and Kings Cross. Kettle and decent-sized mug in room, but bring your own instant as the free coffee is dishwater. Yes, I'd stay there again. No, I would not send valuable clients there - it's not a place for impressing, but it is a decent night's sleep in the middle of the big city.

Great stay ... room spotless and new bathroom
Overnight stay in London. Really pleased helpful reception. Was able to check in over an hour earlier than normal time. Room was spotless , twin room no. 114 on ground floor. The beds were very comfortable, brand new bathroom installed, great shower (still had faint smell of new paint) and room at the right temperature. The staff at check out were very friendly. I would definitely stay at this Comfort Inn again

A little disappointed. Our room was so small, the bed was pushed against the wall and no room for luggage. It was so hot had to ask for a fan. It was in a quiet area close to all transport. Asked and did receive a slightly bigger room.

Convenient for a one night stay close to Kings Cross. However our two rooms were in the basements of two different buildings, with mould growing on ceiling in one of bathrooms. Rooms were pokey, & very narrow winding stairs to get down to them.

The room smelt a bit strange but we got used to it. Room was nice and big with a private bathroom. Room and location was quiet. Breakfast was fresh and a good selection for continental. Check in and out was quick and easy.

Ideally located for early morning access to St Pancras to catch Eurostar train to Brussels. A basic hotel with no frills but clean and warm. Breakfast was simple but OK.

Reasonable value, avoid room 102
Hotel is fair value for money when you take into account the location. I started out in room 102. Decent sized, but the bed was rock hard and faced onto a noisy street. I switched to a slightly smaller room (106,) with a more comfortable bed and facing the back. Slept much better. Wi-Fi was variable (good at non-busy times, spotty otherwise.) Included breakfast was basic. Appreciated in-room tea and coffee. Bathrooms were in good shape, clean, and lots of hot water.

Passable for one night with a terrible breakfast
I stayed at Comfort Inn Kings Cross for one night, for business. My room was very basic, but ok and passably clean. Breakfast was extremely disappointing! The breakfast room is in the basement, which is very stuffy, warm and humid (no windows or natural light). There isn’t a cooked breakfast at this hotel, just a very very limited continental. The yoghurts and the pastries (wrapped in plastic) were kept under a hot light, so they were warm and a bit sweaty! The only other option was toast, ham and cheese (the ham and cheese also under a warm light and therefore a bit ‘sweaty’!). I wouldn’t really recommend staying here, especially if you were hoping for a good breakfast. It served a purpose, but I wouldn’t stay again! After I got home, I read the trip advisor reviews for this place... bed bugs, strange bites from the bedding and the terrible breakfast feature very frequently. I got off lightly as no bites, but I wish I’d read the reviews before I booked!

Disappointing even for a three star
The hotel is a three-star, so you do not expect much. Breakfast was a huge disappointment even for a continental. White toast, cheese and ham, some cereal and yogurt. No thought had gone into the presentation of the food, so it looked unappetizing. The toasters and coffee machine looked to be in need of a thorough cleaning. I ended up getting my breakfast elsewhere. The room was small, the carpet extremely dirty and everything seemed to be in need of a good cleaning. Around the windows and doorway into the bathroom appeared to have water damage. Paint was coming off and the wood was "bulging", and the silicone around the base of the shower was almost black. I would be surprised if they do more than just a wipe-down between occupants. The staff working there was really nice, but they are not enough to make me consider Comfort Inn Kings Cross again.

Lack of Comfort Inn thos hotel
This hotel has a great location, under 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross, but it is in desperate need of an update. The furnishings, curtains & bedspread for example are ripped, and the spare foldaway bed had a large, unpleasant brown stain on it.the bathroom could do with a full scrub. It is noisy from inside and outside the hotel so not great if youre a light sleeper and the heating does not work. They did however provide a small convection heater to warm the room up. The check in receptionist was very welcoming and helpful though.

Poor and not value for money
Room 116 Bathroom smelled of sewer, the carpet was very dirty and the floor in front of the bathroom is on the point of collapsing and it was very noisy, the breakfast room is far to small for the amount of people they have staying there so had to go up and down 3 times before we could sit down, and to be honest what was on offer was a poor choice and would never stay there again.

Dirty smelly room for the price we paid! Highly overpriced! The only good thing about this hotel is it’s proximity to St. Pancras and Kings cross station. Breakfast was woeful with only thin sandwich white and wholemeal bread ( a dollar per loaf type of bread) Overall, everything was depressing.

Don't stay in Room 202
Room 202 is not to be recommended. It rained heavily the night we stayed. There was a persistent dripping of water near the window. On closer examination this has obviously been a problem for a while as the woodwork of the window frame was stained as was part of the wall and the ceiling above. The carpet was extremely soggy which might then permeate down to the room below. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom functional but the breakfast was extremely basic - must have been the cheapest sliced bread on offer for toast, croissants were stale. Rather a lot to charge for such basic accommodation. Only thing in its favour is proximity to Kings Cross Station for an early train.

BED BUGS! They traveled home in our clothes & suitcases. I spent weeks buying sprays & steamer, new mattress pads & covers trying to get rid of them. Sent a letter on 8/21/19 to Choice Hotels CEO, Patrick Pacious. NO RESPONSE!!! There was also water dropped down the wall from the ceiling every time the people above us showered. There were no vacancies so we could not be moved. I asked for a refund due to having bed bug bites & all the time & money I spent trying to get rid of them when we got home. I’ve heard nothing from Choice Hotels CEO! This was a trip of a lifetime that turned into nothing but disappointment & frustration. Don’t stay here!!! BED BUGS SHOULD NOT BE PART OF YOUR VACATION!
