The hotel was clean. Easy check in. The lady cleaning the room even helped us take our luggage up. That’s unheard of and above and beyond. It’s in a great location. It’s an older place but updated. Best bang for your buck.

Front desk lady had a bad attitude and was blaming me for a price total error on her system. Pricing wasn't matching expidia totals and try to charge me more. At the end she did apologized and charge the remaining matching total amount . The other inconvenience was about there RESORT fee??? THERES NO RESORT AT ALL NO EXTRA AMENITIES FOR THEM TO BE CHARGING RESORT FEES. OVERALL IT DID TURN MY STAY SOUR. BUT THANKS ANYWAY.

Hi Victor! There are no Resort fees however there is a service fee for booking through a third party site.

We've been here a few times already, it's a good property , nice staff , nice rooms , convenient area , always clean rooms and I like the laundry washer on site . Will definitely come again

Bathroom was not clean. Room reeked of marijuana. Air conditioner was loud and filthy. No Ice machine on premise. We left, took the loss and booked a room at a different hotel. Wound up paying for two hotel rooms because we refused to stay at the Blue Bird.

I booked a “newly renovated” room. I figured that the property was probably undergoing restorations and was a work in progress but the fact that I booked a newly renovated room, I thought it would be OK for a one night stay. I didn’t expect the property to be a 5 star resort but I did not expect to find blood on the bathroom window sill, a pair of dirty socks beside the bed, an AC unit 2 inches from the bed or trash & debris alongside every bed and piece of furniture. No propane in the bbq or the fire pit. For the price tag I am incredibly disappointed. Upon check in we were informed that the newly renovated unit was already given away so we could either have the three beds like we booked in an older room or a newly renovated 2 beds for the same price. She mentioned that she could give us the smaller room because the next guest hadn’t checked in yet. I thought, we’d hate to take someone else’s room that they were promised. We decided that we’d keep our room but after we were settling in for the night after returning from the lake, we found all of the above. Very ran down, and disappointingly gross. I will never stay here again and think it’s only right to have a partial refund for the experience. Pretty sure the motel 6 would’ve been a better experience with a MUCH smaller price tag.

It was a good value for the location. The beds were very comfortable. The property is very dated, as well as a bit shabby. That being said, we both slept well because of the comfy beds and quiet location.

The room was very clean and not run down. It seemed newly remodeled. The owners were very nice. The air conditioning worked well. The owners were very accommodating as I had picked up my daughter and her friend from a backpacking trip and came up with a solution so we could stay at the same hotel without it costing me and arm and a leg.

Couldn’t check in 1/2 hr early —- TV stopped working —- Microwave didn’t work (even after someone came in to fix it) —- ‘Breakfast’ was 1 pot of coffee & box of donuts (but couldn’t even get a cup of coffee, because the office was locked until 9AM) —- No curtain on the bathroom window —-

I am honestly surprised this place is even on Hotels.com. The facility is very old and needs a remodel, badly. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE TISSUES, EVEN AFTER WE ASKED..... The only good comment is the they are very nice people. I know around Lake Tahoe everything is more expensive, and the price point for this hotel is more than a Motel 6, but the quality is just terrible.

Need to update pictures on web site, pictures should match the physical building. Rooms need updating and need to be clean. They are competing in price but not in quality.

Very old. We couldn’t get TV to work, no Kleenex, water from shower went everywhere, there is NO way this hotel is 8/10! I was awake all night waiting for something to happen, I received NO recept and I’m not sure yet if I’ll get my deposit back of $150
