Warm welcome, helpful staff, they responded to special request, this was our third stay at this hotel and we are certainly planning to visit again. Very convenient for Tunbridge Wells and local area. Thank you.
Overpriced dump, check-in was a nitemare not whats needed after a long day ...
Does not have a resturant as advertised
absolutley filthy ....hairs in bed,ripped pillow case stains on duvet,dirty mirrors the list goes on..
Save your money go somewhere else please,will never use again....

Thank you very much for your review. Yes, you are perfectly right as we have never had a restaurant for evening meals as clearly specified in all agents adverts. All the nearest restaurants are only from 1 minute to 5 minutes walks from our hotel. You could have requested a staff to attend to any concerns of your room there and then and be happy with our free service. But it was your decision to communicate to us on this platform now to rectify an issue while you were using the room. A bit too late isn't it?
The staff was very helpful, we ended up checking in much later than expected, but staff was very pleasant . All check innand check out instructions we explained well and easy to follow. The property was very clean ,plenty of linens .

We appreciated the efforts at recycling, the outdoor eating area, the chance to do some washing.
The room was too small especially for a four night stay. When we commented the ‘receptionist’ said that they had upgraded us from a shared bathroom which was not the case as we had booked an ensuite room. We received an email about paid parking but out booking included parking.
Reception over a telephone is not satisfactory.

Dear Geoff, thank you for your review. You never requested to see a member of a staff while staying with us although we saw pass you several times in the corridors. All your issues could have been looked into if you contacted us. We would be happy to see your requests 24hrs. Receptionist is 24hrs as we are the only hotel in the area that welcome guests 24hrs.

The room was clean but very small for a double bed, the shower and toilet were built in to two corners of the room , which worked i suppose.
It was a cheap place to stay in the area we needed to stay in.
We booked in via an intercom telephone. This was unusual but worked ok.
The lady who booked us in waived the on site car park charge, and also the dog extra charge.
I would have challenged the dog charge being £23 ? for one night had she not just dropped it as she mentioned it over the intercom.
If we had to pay for on site parking AND the dog it would have been an expensive stay .
We payed £68 as we had some expedia points to use . If we had payed the standard price i think it would have been too much for the size of room .
I dont mind paying up to £10 extra for the dog, but could not see why there should be a charge for parking a car in site .
Oh, and our rooms window would only open an inch or two. There were instructons to open it further but they did not work. . It was a good job the weather was unusually cool for July!
The only staff member we met was in the morning when we were leaving who was very pleasant.

Thank you for your review. We are the only pet-freindly hotel in the area so the price we charge is considered reasonable by many of our guests. Regarding the window, we let our guests know both at check-in and in room information leaflet that should you have any issues with the room you need only call the on-site team and they will come and resolve the issue in less than 5 minutes.
The lodge was in a good position for what we needed. The host was friendly and very helpful. The garden was also spacious for children. Recommend anyone to stay.

I was not happy at all. Toe nails left on side. Hair on coat hanger. See pictures. No receptionist. No hot water for bath. No soap. Not a double bed but x2 single mattress’s.
Interrupted whilst naked on bed by a man who was also supposedly staying in my room and had the code for the door.
I want a refund…….

We cannot accept your scoring of 2 and it is not fair on other prospective guests why they should be penalised by your opinion.This is the message we sent you soon after you contacted us: "Hi Rhianne following our conversation earlier on, we are sorry we can not refund you after checking in and made use of the room, especially you requested earlier checking without charging you early checking charges. We checked the room and could not find anything wrong. We have photographic evidences of good use of the bed and drinks by you."
Anand Lodge is great place to stay, very clean, friendly and cosy. Cooked breakfast was very tasty, felt like being at home 😊 my fur baby was very happy! Big garden for your dog to have a play!

Quaint location, more akin to a guest house than a hotel. Check in and check out by telephone - did not see any staff during my stay.
Room was clean and comfortable but a little like being in someone's bedroom.
Anand Lodge was conveniently located for us. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was a little cramped with little or no storage, however, it had all the basic facilities and was beautifully clean and, I think, recently repainted.
Someone living in caravan in back garden and no one staffing the B&B. No breakfast available. The pictures on the website are just superficial and do not represent reality. Terrible experience. Don’t get fooled. It’s not worth it. There are better rooms at Premier Inn or Mercure nearby.

Thank you for leaving a review. No one lives in the caravan in back garden. Staff available 24hrs via a secure COVID-19 distancing policy intercom at the reception also 24hrs direct line, mobile and email. You did not order breakfast. Our pictures are updated as and when necessary to reflect updates all the time. You were inside our hotel for only 10 minutes taking pictures. We provide an accurate service as per Expedia description. Premier Inn & Mercure closed at the moment. Sorry we will never accept this review as there is a CAD police case with this booking.
The staff couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable.

Sorry, difficult to give an informed response. Don't know the details and who posted this review. Stay anonymous doesn't help any hotels to make positive change which travellers will benefit in future.
Very comfortable and homely, with excellent service and value for money. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Great location, 5 mins from village with 3 pubs with excellent restaurants. Use of the kitchen was brilliant as I could microwave my gluten free dinners and store my bread etc in the fridge. Plenty of parking space with a nice garden and decking area. It was definitely a home from home experience which we thoroughly enjoyed and will most definitely book again next year.

I enjoyed my stay at the Anand because its in a nice location and the room was very comfortable and homely and warm .The check in system was fast track .Wifi very good and i must say the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners was a real bonus , glad i stayed .

Given wrong room twice!
We booked a double room with en-suite, first we were given a very small room, then told we were in the wrong room so moved to slightly larger room but with shared bathroom. Couldn't shower before going out as the bathroom was occupied! Woken at 7.45 by someone drilling and working on pond right under our window. The staff were very nice but we won't be back.

This is not a 3 star hotel. The room was tiny, had a shower in the bedroom and the toilet was tiny. Staff couldmt have been more helpful but the hotel itself needs to be completely redone as massively dated and shabby.

I went to stay there because my temporary job was closer to that lodge. There are number of reasons why I don’t recommend this place is a good place to live.1. Two single beds was added as a big bed which was uncomfortable to sleep, as a result level of bed was not balanced and uncomfortable . Also , bed sheet was dirty likewise mattress was loose. 2. No hot and cold water for shower, when I went to take shower , no cold water I went to request in the reception 2 ladies came after 25 minuets and told me it was fixed and when I went to take shower again there was no cold water. That was really frustrating coz I was exhausted and anted to rest ASAP . When I went to complain in reception the guy from the phone said I did not know how to use shower therefore it was not working. What a joke? Anyways I had actually booked for 2 nights but lived only that night. Lastly that room No. 10 was very noisy. I could hear the noise from another room after neglecting my knock went to complain but the guy declined to come and check thought it was my problem. Rubbish. Felt terrible.
