Very welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful hosts ensured we had a most enjoyable stay. The room was clean, bright and airy and was well appointed with everything we needed. Breakfast was marvellous, an excellent choice available, well cooked and presented. Good off street parking. Large range of tourist leaflets and books ensured you made the most of your stay.

Graham and Hillary are an asset to Kelso, being here for the first time, they made us feel welcome and at home. Their local knowledge and attentivness made a trip so memorable. It was a pleasure to stay here and we will hopefully be coming again.

Disappointing
Very pleasant helpful owners. The breakfast was very good. The whole place needs a good clean. It’s old and traditional in Scottish style however is very disappointing condition. We were in room 4 with a cupboard with shower and toilet in. The wash basin is actually in the room which I don’t think is pieasant. Everywhere was very dusty and the furnishings inadequate. In need of an upgrade! Not a great inviting smell as you enter either. I always take other reviews into consideration before I book and there are only a few which tell the truth which is surprising. We will not be returning.

Traditional guest house - would stay again!
Delightful guest house. Host Graham is lovely and helpful. I stayed in room 1 which was a twin, small but enough room for a very comfortable stay. Bathroom looked very new. Carpets very clean. Would stay here again.

Fantastic guest house in the Borders
The guest house run by Graham and Hilary is fantastic. They are very welcoming and will make everybody feel at home as soon as you enter. The rooms were cosy. The breakfast served was delicious.

Perfect little Guest House
This little Guest House was just the image I had of what a Guest House should be. Wonderfully decorated and furnished, a real home from home, Graham and Hilary were simply great hosts being ever so helpful and friendly but not overbearing, breakfast was top notch! Dog friendly (our Labrador loved the place) I would one hundred percent recommend that you visit here when in Kelso as we will certainly stay again, sooner rather than later!

Perfect hosts
The building is a little tired but this is literally the only negative! Graham and Hilary were amazing hosts. Right from the beginning, Graham was gracious and hospitable when we called to say we were going to be late to check in, then took the time to explain the best places for food and visits in the town. The cooked-to-order breakfast the next morning was perfect and both hosts were incredibly patient and catered well to our 4 month old son (high chair and cutlery and would have had a cot ready had we not had one ourselves). The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the main square and Kelso Abbey and there is a lovely River walk behind the hotel. We will be recommending Bellevue and its lovely hosts to everyone

Pleasant stay
Nicely located to explore the town and not far from the racecourse which was the main reason for our visit. Very accommodating host and some pleasant young girls who served the breakfast

Arriving after dark is a problem at this B&B Car Parking is in a back street with little space and virtually no lighting.We are elderly & disabled (81/85) and walking to the entrance via the street which was badly lit,the ground inside the garden is very uneven and also badly lit.The Lady who welcomed us didn't even know if we had paid!! The room was very cold but warm after heating switched on. Shower room also very cold. Beds comfortable.Breakfast on the whole very good but coffee went cold very quickly. Staff could lighten up a bit too,not as friendly & interactive as we find most Scottish people. We are not allowed to mention room rates but this was NOT value for money,I think rates had been hiked due to number of people in Kelso that night!

Bellvue GH - perfect place in Scottish Borders!
Great place to stay in Scottish Borders region! Comfy, good price, very clean, great breakfast. Hosts exceptionally friendly & helpful. Also helped us arrange taxi for a day of site seeing in region. Stay here!

Great hosts
I had 2 great nights at the Bellevue. The hosts were very accommodating providing an early breakfast for my husband and lots of recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. I had a large room with a large comfortable bed and a good shower. I will definitely go back to the Bellevue when I am back in Kelso.

We spent one night at the Bellevue at the weekend and were really impressed with the room (Room 6) which was bright, clean and had a good comfy bed. There had obviously been a bit of thought put in to furnishing and dressing the room and also to practicalities such as provision of a hairdryer, a 3-plug extension by the bed for charging phones etc. and wine glasses and a corkscrew on the dressing table. The ensuite bathroom was clean and the shower nice and hot. The B&B owner helped us out by reccomending a good restaurant for dinner and by providing an imaginative alternative to use when I realised I'd misplaced my contact lens container, he couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and plentiful, help-yourself cereal, juice and yoghurt and an excellent cooked breakfast tailored to your own preferences. We would definitely return here in future.

We came to fish the Tweed
Arrived early but this was not a problem. Room was ready, clean and tidy - comfortable. short walk into town and to the river. Good breakfast - Graham was happy to cook to meet our early starts! Recommended the Cobblers Inn for good food. We found it was excellent and the staff were friendly - went there twice during our 3 night stay.

Shower /Toilet facilities extremely small.
The room was overcrowded with furniture and the shower/toilet facilities extremely small. Wash basin was in room not with toilet and shower. Food was satisfactory and well cooked. Very little space to place luggage and we were relieved we were staying only 1 night. Bed comfortable but alarm clock unsettable though telling time - just not the correct time. We had informed them that we would have a small well-behaved little dog with us but this came as a complete surprise to owner and we were told that we would have to pay an extra £10 for thorough cleaning of room after we left in case future guests suffered from allergies! Felt this should have been made clear before we booked room. Parking not good- at back of house off road and some distance from entrance for carrying luggage. Also little room for the 5 cars that needed to park there. Not really good value for price charged.

Fantastic Place with Great Service
Bellevue Guesthouse is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are very quaint and comfortable with beds that I would very much like to take home they are so comfy. Great little en suite with a hot shower, just what I needed after a day at work followed by a long drive. The hosts were very accommodating which made it feel like home from home. I would definitely stay here again as the service was excellent. I also loved the selection at breakfast, the black pudding is to die for. Thank you so much, we will be back next year.

comfy beds,shower a bit on the small side,
after a wait of 1hour to check-in as the owner was elsewhere we were given a room by the gardener,room was good beds comfortable the shower was a bit of a tight squeeze to get into as i'm a large chap,the breakfast was good,unfortunately the cleaner only left 1 hand towel on Sat. All in all i would recommend this B&B.

A delightful place to rest after visiting history
This bed and breakfast hotel has two wonderful hosts who were very helpful in answering our questions about the area, but also respectful of our privacy. The rooms were very pretty, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was done as well or better than much more expensive places we stayed. The combination of this guest house and the beautiful Kelso area would prompt me to return again, and recommend it to my friends and relatives.

Great guesthouse in kelso
Nice guesthouse in a good location in Kelso (~5 min walk to the town square and abbey). The rooms were nice, the bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The sink and the toilet were separate, and quite compact, but did the trick. Our room had a spare bed, presumably for a child, which made the room feel a bit smaller than it actually was. Breakfast was superb and hosts very welcoming.

Average B&B in quiet town
Stayed off season so town was quiet. B&B in good location - 5 mins walk to town centre, off the road parking and filling breakfast. Owner was extremely helpful, although early check out (10am) was not ideal.

The rooms were small but very well equipped with TV, coffee/tea making , sofa, shower, toilet & hand basin, hair dryer & wardrobes. I thougt the chocolate on the pillow a nice touch. The only thing is, all rooms were upstairs which I found a bit difficult as I am silghtly disabled, so a ground floor room would have been preferable. All in all a very pleasant stay
