When I booked the hotel, the description of the location was incorrect. This needs to be corrected as the on-line description stated that the hotel was near the airport and the Mogao Caves, about seven kilometers from the city center. However, the hotel is actually in the city center.
The breakfasts were excellent.
There was very little English spoken. The only reason we did well there was because we were traveling with a former Chinese student of ours from Xiangtan University, Xiangtan, Hunan, who did all of the translating.
The hotel had indicated that they had pick-up service from the airport and return service. However, we were unable to get either, although some other guests did receive these services. Considering the price of the room and the availability of many nearby city-center hotels, this hotel is definitely overpriced, especially considering that they did not provide airport transportation. We had to use a taxi both ways.
