Nightmare stay
Hotel is very dated and rooms in terrible condition. Woke up at 3am to water spraying everywhere in bathroom flooding the room due to damaged pipe. No one on reception at night so was forced to stay up until someone back on duty holding pipe towards toilet. Terrible hotel and service.

Property & beach are gorgeous. They have kayaks that you can take out. Would have liked a more comfortable place to sit in the room, and places to sit in the shade around the property. They have several cabanas, but none had lounges or chairs (maybe because it was off-season?)

Brilliant location let down by poor maintenance.
Takes a long time to get a meal at the restaurant. Shower water is salty. Airconditioned filter screens have never been cleaned. Refrigerator iced up and noisy. Poo smell in shower and elsewhere. Toilet cistern fill valve almost blocked so the tank takes a long time to fill.

Quiet resort in a beautiful setting
We were very well looked after by helpful staff under the guidance of Johnnie the manager. The staff were very accommodating and provided us with a variety of vegetarian options made especially for us. The manager also made a point of saying that they would address the lack of vegetarian options on the standard menu. The chalet we stayed in was in a lush green setting with the view of the bay and beach through the coconut trees. The beach was accessible via kayak (complimentary) which we also used to paddle up the river to see the Khlong Chao waterfall. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and the rooms were cleaned daily. Anyone considering booking here should bear in mind that this an eco-resort, which means that while the setting is 5 star, the facilities while perfectly adequate are not luxurious and make no claim to be. Overall it was a lovely place to relax.

Better Than Expected
First trip to Koh Kood with Away, first night we choose Island Tent, as we have seen some reviews about, then try. We love this Island Tent , though it's placed behind all house and no aircondition excess but for us that's relax to walk a little bit high and tent was desire lovely complete and hat month we visited there the whether not so hot. Tomorrow next we move to seaside house with air-con , that's so easy to walk along seaside, so cool!!!

Away Koh kood var en fantastisk oplevelse. Hotellet var noget slidt, men servicen og beliggenheden og faciliteterne opvejede dette. Man kan låne kajakker gratis og efter 2 min eller 7 min sejltur kommer man til 2 rigtig gode strande. Det fungerede så fint med ungerne. Det er bestemt ikke sidste gang vi besøger Away❤️

We loved our bungalow and the view - bathroom and common areas was quit disappointing though. Notice that the hotel has no beach.

Hôtel au calme
Away Ko Kood est au calme au bord de l'eau avec une vue splendide sur la plage de Ban Khlong Chao. Le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Le restaurant sert de la nourriture Thaï mais aussi occidental pour les enfants (pratique!). Ils peuvent organiser des sorties en mer, faire office de taxi, louer des scooters (très pratique!), les kayaks sont gratuits et c'est d'autant plus important que pour aller sur la plage de Ban Khlong Chao, il faut les utiliser pour traverser la rivière (à peine 5 min grand maximum le temps de monter dans le kayak, pagayer et redescendre). Il n'y a pas de plage pour se baigner bien que l'hôtel soit au bord de l'eau. Le point négatif serait le logement en duplex, pour les enfants en dessous de 8 ans, les escaliers sont très dangereux car abrupts, ils sont vraiment à déconseiller, à moins que les enfants dorment en bas bien entendu. Sinon, rien à redire, l'endroit et Ko Kood/Kut sont merveilleux.

Бассейн маленький и не очень чистый. В раковине нет горячей воды. Сантехника в целом не очень. Вода из крана соленная, даже зубы не очень приятно чистить. Во время отлива на территории пахнет тиной. Так же во время отлива территория возле отеля выглядет мягко говоря не очень приятно. Завтраки - хороший шведский стол. Расположен очень удобно для путешествий по острову. Рядом с отелем довольно хороший пляж. В целом цена не соответствует качеству (как скорее всего и по всему острову)

Total afslapning på koh kood.
Fantastiske 3 nætter på Koh Kood Away, når/hvis man søger mere ro og afslapning. Meget privat hotel. Vi boede i deres ocean front Villas hvor man havde en balkon helt ugeneret fra andre, men alligevel med en fantastisk udsigt over vandet. Dejlig alsidig morgenmad og bare god stil omkring fred og ro. Nemt at leje scooter på stedet eller kajakker (gratis) og så bare afsted og nyde en lille skønne ø med massere af fantastiske strande, snorkling og gode lokale restauranter overalt langs vejene. Klart det skønneste sted i Thailand jeg har oplevet. Naturen har stadig første prioritet og man lever og ånder med de lokale i en perfekt rejse oplevelse.

Manglede rengøring spindelvæv, forsøgte at få defekt elkedel udskiftet men ingen held med dette. Ellers fint sted søde og rar og hjælpsomme. Dog skal man være opmærksom på der kun er rigtig strand på den anden side af flod udløb men intet problem du lånet blot en kajak gratis 😀

Lovely stay, especially after upgrading!
We stayed 12 nights at Away Koh Kood with a baby and a 5 year old. The staff were fantastic and made an effort to interact with and entertain our kids. The breakfast was big and the restaurant food good. There is no beach at the resort, but 40 seconds in a free kayak and you are on a great one. There are lovely beach huts right down to the water. There are quite offered activities and we tried many. A kayak trip to the waterfall is strongly recommended. We started in the duplex bungalows (up a hill, rustic bathrooms, and a little close to the jungle for us!) but upgraded to a seaside bungalow when one became available and it made all the difference. There is quite a lot of boat traffic in the area, which is both good and bad. We would recommend a stay here, particularly in the seaside bungalows.

Stedet var hyggeligt, roligt og rent. Den gode strand skulle man svømme til eller sejle gratis kano til (ca. 30 meter og virkelig lækker strand) Internet var nærmest ikke eksisterende på værelset. Dog var der wifi ved resorptionen.

Alles in allem ein sehr nettes Hotel in einer schönen lage. Der hoteleigene Strand ist kurz bis gar nicht vorhanden, dafür kann man kostenlose Kajaks borgen die einem in ca 5 minute auf eine sehr schöne Sandzunge bringen wo man gut ins seichte meer kann. Das frühstücksbuffet ist wirklich toll, es ist von allem was dabei udn der ausblick aufs meer macht es noch besser. das zimmer ist sehr schön, allerdings muss bald mal ein bisschen renoviert werden weil das wasser im badezimmer und vor allem im duschbereich last shcon die better morsch werden und metallteile beginnen zu rosten. die anlage selbst ist im hang gelegen, also stufen und bergauf und bergab sollte kein problem für die gäste sein. die stufen allerdings sind schon mit vorsicht zu betreten da sie teilweise schon unter kindergewicht bedenklich nachgeben und auch schon teilweise gebrochen sind. wir sind allerdings immer heil angekommen und die aussicht vom hoch gelegenen bungalow auf das meer ist wirklich traumhaft! Im hotel kann man roller ausborgen und auch einen weitertransfer zu anderen inseln buchen. alles in allem würde ich das hotel weiterempfehlen da hier das preis-leistungsverhältnis stimmt

Superbe vue !
Nous avons eu un bungalow Deluxe front de mer dont la vue et l’emplacement sont juste magnifiques. Un large choix (occidental ou thaï) pour le petit-déjeuner (a part le jus chimique) sur commande et le restaurant du soir sont bien. La plupart du personnel est souriant et gentil.

Bra hotell i fint skick och med bra service. Bra frukostbuffé. Nackdelen är att hotellet inte har någon egen strand, man får låna kajak eller simma över flodutloppet som ligger utanför hotellet. Kan stundtals vara ganska trafikerad. Stranden på andra sidan är jättefin med klart vatten och fin sand. Hyr moppe och utforska ön! Många fina stränder och mysiga vattenfall!

Underbart bungalowhotell på ko kood, ligger vid en flodmynning. Gratis kajaker som man kan använda för att paddla till ett fantastiskt vattenfall. På andra sidan flodmynningen ligger också en sandstrand i västerläge med fina bad och solnedgångar. Maten är god och prisvärd och personalen är de bästa vi mött under vår familjeresa här i Thailand. Kan varmt rekommenderas!

Total relaxation on dream beach
Away resort met all our expectations and even more. We got upgrade to a seaview bungalow with amazing views over Khlong Chao beach. ( white Sand, almost empty beach with the clearest blue water you'll ever see) the room was spacious and clean although there were alot of mini ants but i guess that might be common almost everywhere if you stay in a wooden house. Not a big concern of ours. The resort provides free use of kajaks so you can go to the beach ( hotel doesnt have an actual beach but it takes 2 min.)and Explore the surroundings ( tip is paddling along the beautiful river ) We had all our meals at the hotel since there wasnt any other options nearby (walking) and the food and drinks was delicious! Service was fast and staff was friendly! I would definetly go back and stay at Away resort on my next visit to Koh Kood!

Die Anlage ist wunderschön und die Lage ist auch gut...Personal freundlich...ein Grund für die Buchung war unter anderem der Stil der Zimmer und der Pool...die Zimmer haben ihre besten Jahre hinter sich und der Pool...na ja war wohl gut fotografiert...nach der anstrengenden Anreise waren wir schon enttäuscht. Auf die Aussage in die Jahre gekommen geben wir meist nichts da diese Anlagen meist einen tollen Baumbestand etc. haben und man weiss was man für sein Geld erwarten darf...aber hier stimmt der Preis und was wir bekamen leider nicht

ทะเลและหาดทรายสวยมาก เพับงพายคายัคข้ามไปที่หาดคลองเจ้านั่งมองพระอาทิตย์ตกดินก็หายเหนื่อยจากการเดินทางตั้งแต่เย็นวันแรกที่มาถึง บริการต่างๆ สะดวกสบาย น่าเสียดายที่คืนสุดท้ายแอร์มีปัญหา ไม่เย็นเท่าไร เลยต้องเปิดพัดลมเอา

Schöne Anlage in guter Lage
Wir waren 11 Nächte dort, in einem Duplex Bungalow. Der Blick war super, die Ausstattung ganz ok - Kleiderschrank ist etwas klein und 3 Kleiderbügel sind sehr wenig. Das Wasser (Dusche und Waschbecken) ist leicht salzig, man bekommt aber täglich genug Süßwasser - leider in Plastikflaschen. Die Treppenstufen zum Haus und im Bungalow sind nur für sportliche, jüngere Leute geeignet (steil, große Abstände). Ab und zu riecht es etwas streng nach Abwasser und die Müllentsorgung ist eher bedenklich - es wird alles verbrannt. Der Service ist top, das Personal immer bemüht, freundlich, hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, die Säfte sind leider Konzentrat. Schön ist, dass hier Marmelade und Joghurt im Glas angeboten wird und so ein kleiner Beitrag zur Umwelt geleistet wird. Das Essen im Restaurant ist nicht billig (im Verglich zu den kleinen Straßenrestaurants), dafür aber von guter Qualität. Im Strandrestaurant wird das Essen vom Hauptrestaurant geholt. Der Service am Strand ist gut, Kajaks und Stand-up Paddles sind vorhanden. Nur wenn alles ausgebucht ist (das war zu Song Kran so), wird die Anzahl knapp. Der Zustand der Kajaks, Paddel usw. könnte besser sein; ebenso vom Segelboot. Der Pool ist sehr klein, aber für Kinder gut geeignet. Schön ist auch, dass es am Strand eine Süßwasserdusche gibt. Zum eigentlichen, großen weißen Sandstrand muss man schwimmen oder paddeln, aber es lohnt sich.

Trevlig personal på hotellet. Tyst och lugnt på hotellområdet. Bra mat på restaurangen om än lite dyrt jämfört om man äter på restaurang utanför. Fin utsikt från rummet. Det enda som man kan ha synpunkter på är att toalett och dusch på rummen skulle behöva renoveras.

Für das Gebotene preislich zu hoch!
Zuerst das Positive, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Die Vegetation ist üppig und wird gehegt und gepflegt; von der Seite top. Aber die Bungalows ... für dieses Preis eine Zumutung! Öko-Touris werden sehr wahrscheinlich ihre Freude an den Bungalows haben, aber der Otto-Normal Touri, wird sich verwundert die Augen reiben. Der rustikale Steg, welcher die Bunalows der 2. Reihe miteinander verbindet wurde aus Treibgut hergestellt. An und für sich eine gelungene Idee ... wenn er auch dementsprechend gepflegt würde! Ich drücke es mal vorsichtig aus ... Personen mit einem BMI-Index von 25 aufwärts ist der Gang über den Steg nicht empfohlen! Wenn überhaupt ein Bungalow, dann die 1. Reihe mit direkter Sicht auf die Beach. Sicher, der Blick auf die Lagune aus der leicht erhöhten Sicht der 2. Reihe durch die Palmen hat durchaus auch seinen Reiz, aber der Zahn der Zeit hat an den Bungalows genagt. Der Boden gibt an einigen Stellen bedenklich nach. Oder die Türrahmenhöhe zum Bad liegt bei 1.70m, alle anderen Türrahmen liegen bei 2m. Die Klimaanlage ist zu schwach ausgelegt, da hilft auch kein Deckenventi. Das Duschwasser ist stark salzhaltig, so macht duschen kein Spass! Wir haben in den 3 Tagen einige andere Resorts besucht und können daher gut urteilen ... für das Gebotene eindeutig preislich zu hoch angesetzt!!! Zudem ist diese Stein-Beach eine Zumutung.
