"Location perfect for Beach, town and Quay. Train station. Staff very helpful and pleasant Room basic, however, it had everything we needed and clean. Bathroom, Shower, bed, wardrobe, kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Food and bar was available if required. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay. Would return."

"Nice room with balcony and distant sea view. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy some of the facilities on offer. Bathroom was pretty good with a shower over the bath. Controls were a little stiff and difficult, not at all intuitive to use but there was plenty of hot water. Bed was on the hard side but comfortable enough. My only complaint would be the distance between the bed and the wall making it difficult to get out, particularly at night. Not helped by the large picture...

"I chose a budget room which was £144 per night. I stayed two nights over the Bank Holiday heatwave . There was a brick wall outside my window and only two of the windows would open a maximum of 3 inches. The bathroom window did not open and the fan was not working. It was wretched in the heat. You have to have the light on to see even in daylight. I was given a very basic fan . I asked to change my room the next day. It was inhumane to expect anyone to be in a room with no ventilation in that...

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Lion. Perfect location, lovely room and great service. Breakfast was a nice experience with plenty of choice. Sharon on reception was really helpful and made check-in and out an easy, seamless experience."

"We did enjoy our stay at Harbour Heights, although parts of the hotel feel a little tired and in need of some updating. Unfortunately, some members of staff could also benefit from further customer service training, as at times we felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. The terrace and the view are absolutely stunning and were definitely the highlight of our stay. However, it was disappointing that guests were not allowed to have meals on the terrace, and there was no waiter service...

"We booked two rooms while walking the coast path. Neither room had a working shower. Both produced boiling hot water that would burn.All we were offered was the use of another shower in an outside building. We declined. Tired building and the Manager uninterested in offering any support or refund. He just told us the rooms were due to be updated! My advice..Go somewhere else. "

"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. "Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."

"House keeping was good. Room was small and pretty tired. Bath hand basin sink plug broken and toilet seat would not stay up. Staff polite but not very customer focused. Just did their job! Breakfast was disappointing. Advertised as ‘continental’ but fell short of what we were expecting. Parking good. Plenty of space"

"We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations."
