The RIU is a decent option. I would stay again. I will give it a 4.5. The front desk reception is awesome and Tameka is great. Garfield in the main dinning hall was great, awesome service. The food options are good--the buffet was good and the native food was better.
Drinks were my issue! When I mean NOTHING close to top-self or medium self, nothing! If beefeaters type liquor is your thing, then you'll enjoy. Trust me, I am not being uppity. For example, basic Jamaican Appleton Rum, it was non-existent. Or even Kettle one Vodka or Jamieson. I think RIU should upgrade the liquor selection, as I heard RIU is doing some upgrades on the property this year. Last thing, was difficult to get a reservation for the specialty restaurants on the app. Maybe IT can fix that or open more spaces for people to try to eat. In my 3 days there, I was unable to eat at any of those places. All in all, it was a good experience.
