I thought the property was awesome! The plants everywhere were so nice and peaceful. The restaurants were very nice and lots of variety! We had to wait a few times for a table but that was expected around dinner time. The staff was very nice and always there when you need them.

Very large property, under staff. Was not given the room I paid for. The room was dirty beyond belief. Class on the floor, leaking faucet. The front desk staff is not very helpful, if you ask to speak to a manager he stays behind doors never faces or is willing to speak to the customer. Is not just a complain, a manager is supposed to be a problem solver in a hotel of the magnitude. Disappointed by Meliá definitely expected more from this company.

Our bathroom smelled like throw up and there was banging/construction during the day. I got food poisoning from the breakfast buffet and your gift shop charged me $40 for Dramamine.

Our stay overall was good and the staff for the most part was nice and welcoming. 1st night upon my wife taking a shower, half of the room and into the outdoor hallway flooded with water, overflowing outside the shower door unknowingly. The shower door seal was not working and the drain was slow draining. We called the desk 2 times and waited an hour till someone showed. The rooms need some serious attention on the non reserve side. However, they made it right and gave us reserve access for the rest of the week and changed rooms the next day. The air conditioning puts way too much moisture into the room causing everything to be damp. Clothes felt damp and moist. The floor was also damp as a result of this. We kept our patio door closed at all times to keep it from being worse. This is a common complaint here as we knew but was hoping to get a room where the old a/c had been replaced recently. Now the good stuf...Our concierge eduardo was awesome and attentive to our needs. Worth every dollar we tipped him with at the end of the week. The buffet food has plenty of selection for every appetite. Pool staff is responsive but very busy as well. Beautiful hotel and great layout. Our second stay here in 4 years but may give another place a chance next year.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars. However, I cannot as it was not quite as advertised. We booked a Junior Oceanview Suite.The suite had very old furnishings, an improperly functioning cooling system, and poor ventilation. The kitchenette was bare with no cups, no coffeemaker, no utensils, and an old faucet with only cold water. Although the view of the ocean was beautiful, there were no seats on the longer of the two balconies adjoining the dining room from which to sit and enjoy the view. The indoor common space was unique with its greenhouse motif, and the outdoor pool and beach spaces were well-kept with great views. The food was very good and the staff at the Buffett and breakfast restaurants was great. Specifically, our servers Nacho and Francisco, were especially fantastic.

The property is average at best. The rooms are outdated and both the rooms we were put in didn't have working air conditioning. We had to repeatedly go down to the front desk to get clean towels as our room was not refreshed or cleaned daily. We also had to repeatedly ask for bottled water for the room as they did not restock the mini bar. Would not recommend this place.

Receptionists rude and unhelpful. Room in pyramid 1 was awful and noisy and small .reqursted 2 queens gave me 1 king for 3 ppl . Paid upgraded room received nothing .second and last time in your hotel . Never again

Overall the hotel was beautiful, one thing we didn't like were the lack of mosquito repellent sprayed around the hotel. We got bit everywhere from staying by the beach for 1 day. Even though we reserved the room with Reserve VIP, we were not told we get free room upgrades in fact we were told to pay an extra fee. Staff are untrained.

We went here for spring break and the stay was amazing. The resort is beautiful and the staff were so helpful. The food was surprisingly excellent and there were plenty of choices. They also did not skimp on the pours when making drinks which was great. The only downside was that the bars close at 11pm. Other than that it was excellent and I would go back

We are from Vancouver. Stayed in March 2024. We absolutely loved our 6 nights at Paradisus Cancun! Gorgeous, warm, clean sea and sand. Nice, well-maintained hotel and property. Wide-variety of food options for anyone. Attentive and welcoming staff all-around. Top-notch entertainment program for kids as well as adults. And many more positives. We would recommend Paradisus Cancun to our friends or anyone for that matter.

Customer sevice is quite lacking. My party of 8 had issues as soon as we walked in. It took the 3 managers i contacted until the last day to see if we could meet and discuss. By then we had been packing and readying to leave. Too little too late. Will not recommend or stay at this property again.

This was our 2nd stay at Paradisus, unfortunately it was not like the 1st stay at all. The restaurants always had a 1-2 hour wait despite many open tables, leaving the only option for dinner the buffet, with little variety and rarely any good vegetarian options besides salad/fruit. The wait staff at the restaurants & buffet were very nice/helpful. The property has went downhill significantly since our 1st visit. It used to be lush, beautiful greenery inside & out but is now unkept w/ dying plants and broken fountains. The pools had mechanical problems, no one knew when it would be fixed and it made the pools somewhat dirty. There were *NEVER* enough lounge chairs or umbrellas for people, yet there was plenty of open space for loungers. The poolside waitstaff was inconsistent, there were times when they didn’t check on us for 4 hours. The rooms were awful The 1st time we went to the resort we had a beautiful room that was clean, bright and had an excellent view. This time the room had zero view, there were cracks and holes in the walls, the bathroom had no ventilation and the tub setup was bizarre, it’s about a 3 foot drop to get out of the shower/tub. After having some close calls with falling getting out of the shower, we complained and the very unsympathetic staff ‘upgraded’ us to a handicapped room. The new room was better but the shower leaked massive amounts of water into the hallway, we had to use 6-7 towels on the floors after showering and call for them mop.

We would definitely book at the resort again. Food and drinks were okay. We upgrade to the Nikte experience. We arrived to the resort early around 8am and we did not meet our concierge until late afternoon around 4-5pm so we felt most of our day was a waste. We did get a cabana bed to wait it out and have our son swim in the mean time. It was disappointing to upgrade when there was no communication from our concierge from the time we checked in. Other than that, everything else went well.

The hotel itself was a great experience the staff the facilities all top notch My only complaint and my biggest annoyance was that Expedia wouldn’t help with the mistake from their website and the hotel The hotel child age is 12 Expedia allowed us to book for a 14 year old only to be told at the hotel we had to pay an extra $3000 although they managed to reduce this to $2000. This was a big negative experience to start the holiday I will never book with Expedia again or their affiliated partners

I wasn’t happy with the inability to explain what an up charge last cost at aol restaurant. I wasn’t happy with the meal’s at cafe. Hot eggs cold everything else. The hotel was nice. It took 4 days for wait staff to figure out we consume a ton of water. It was my understanding we had one item pressed every day. I never received that offer. There was many thing I enjoyed and a few we didn’t. Overall I would do it again.

Paradisus is definitely a great vacation spot to stay. Amazing Property and Beach area built. However, I feel they should improvise on making their everyday Activities and Night Festivities more lively and involving. Try to include more water sports. For vegetarian/Vegan, food options were very limited, including the room service food options. Overall good experience!

I was charged for king bed suite, which is extra price, then at check in they gave us double bed noting they don’t have king bed, no apology given or even attempt to fix the issue next day, if u don’t have king bed room available why u booked it to us. Next, AC not cooling appropriately, we complained, they sent someone, issue was never fixed. Staff’s attitude, this is how it is. Food is mediocre, clean and fresh but tasteless. The price is 5 stars but food and rooms are only 2-3 stars max. We will definitely try another place when going back next time.

Customer service was not great..to get water in room service took 20 min.Staff doesn't understand English.Veg food options are limited.No proper food labelling in buffet area.Luggage to get to our room was 30 min process.App is not updated with all kids activities..we had to go back and forth.Please update your resort app and make it user friendly

Having vacationed with a variety of properties located on the Yucatan peninsula, our litmus test, we would absolutely book a return visit....the beach is an absolute 10. I would say the food was very good. Service overall was very good. Our expectations, (Iberostar Grande, Secrets Akumal, Dreams Tulum) are set very high and Paradisus did NOT let us down.
