Some refurbsihment work was underway in August 2023 when we astayed but we knew about this beforehand and it did not impact our stay. We stayed in a poolside room which was excellent. The only area for improvement would be the food which I would say is 3.5 out of 10 and is quiet expensive. However having said that we would visit again as the inflatable in the main pool is amazing and so much fun

Our stay was fantastic with all of the functions available unlike other hotels during these times. The service is work in progress but the new manager Nicholas was amazing with very hands on training. By the summer this will be the best property in the area...

Disappointing experience.
As a 5-star hotel, So Sofitel Hua Hin is much below our expectation. 1. In the beginning, we were told that the family room is on the 3rd floor. We agreed the upgrade for this reason. However, we ended up being in the 1st floor near the entrance. 2. Seeing the attached picture, the baby cod was broken when my son was sleeping! I still cannot believe this was happening in a 5-star hotel. My son was not even jumping but just lying down on it. We used to stay in Oakwood where the baby cod was very nice and cozy. We had expected the same level in So Sofitel but we were wrong. 3. The room were were staying was 101. The telephone was not functioning, some of the lights were not working. Once the light was replaced, it cannot even be switched off when we wanted to sleep. We even have to call the room service only to switch off the light for us. 4. For breakfast and dinner, the seats were completely not enough. The level of service was not aligned with the price we were charged. 5. The TV was not even smartTV. The Chromecast was not functioning properly. Even the technician cannot make it work. Overall speaking, this was a very disappointing experinece. Be aware for all family with kids.

Great hotel with plenty of activities for families
The resort was great. The bike path, mini putt, and obstacle course were a family favourite during our stay. Unfortunately, the pool and restaurant closed midway through our stay due to new covid restrictions. As such, we could not use the pool and could only have order in food. Having said that, breakfast buffet was fantastic, the facilities were quite nice. Room was very comfortable and the air conditioning was top notch. We would return once Covid restrictions are lifted.

Comfortable hotel, good food, fun pool
Love the comfort of the high ceiling room. Pool was very relaxing. And the kids pool with the inflatable obstacle course was even fun for adults. Loved the food by the pool. Beware, lots of people of the weekend so have to avoid peak hours in public areas.

The hotel was not clean up to So sofitel standards. The pool area was very nice for the kids and adults. The room again wasn't meeting the sofitel standard for cleanliness. The hotel was understaffed. The FNB was quite good though. The room where we were staying was having construction right opposite and we had to call thrice before action was taken. Overall it's worth going because of the kids but otherwise it didn't suit our liking.

Amazing stay, little issues about cleanliness but otherwise very happy.small spider in the room, but after we told the receptionist about it, they cleaned our room and everything looks perfect.

We love the property. The staff were welcoming and always there to make sure you were having fun. Loads of activities for kids. Breakfast was great. Ice cream for breakfast! Rooms were huge and comfortable.

If you want to spend time in hotel stay then this will be the hotel that will make you feel welcome right from the entrance. The hotel has many fun games for the kids to self indulge. However, the only con is the hotel is a distance from the town like night markets or mall situated. You will need a vehicle to travel out. I have 2 separate booking in this hotel, 1 with kids room located at 1 storey and the other King room with view. This hotel has no lift hence might not recommend to those with stairs issue or request for lower floors.

I booked a room with kids house at So Sofitel Hotel Hua Hin “So” for 4 nights. My kids loved the honeycomb (we lived in yellow Comb) kids house very much. The staffs of So are professional and friendly. They served us with welcome drink at check-in counter. Every one there are helpful. We had our breakfast and dinner in one of the restaurants, White Oven. The waiter and waitress are very polite. Food are good. There are three swimming pools, we enjoyed swimming there. The hotel is spacious that it seems like we are the only guest to enjoy the facility. When it was breakfast time, you know it the hotel is full of guest. :) Every morning, my kids went to the Kids Tent to play after just few bite of breakfast! Hopefully, the staff helped to take care of them, so we can enjoy our breakfast without kids. Thanks Crystal’s help, the staff at Kids Tent. She helped me to take care of my son while I was out to play golf with my daughter. My son enjoyed playing in kids tent very much. We had also tried the massage at the SoSpa. It was a wonderful experience. All of them are very professional and have very good skills. I have tried Indian head massage and Balinese massage. We can really relax there. If you don’t go out, you must be able to find something to do in this hotel. It is a very good choice for family stay.
