I am extremely disappointed after reviewing such great reviews of this hotel. It is very misleading. We arrived in the evening after a long drive and as soon as we entered the property the lobby smelled like vomit. The next morning it smelled fine so I’m assuming there was an accident, but nobody to clean it up. I brought my 11 month old daughter with me and always choose to stay at Doubletree because it is a solid choice usually. I get up to the room, and everything seemed fine but the room was so dusty and only had one towel. I was too exhausted to worry about anything so I just put my daughter to sleep and got ready for bed.
At midnight, the entire room suddenly started to smell so strongly of incense burning, and I kept hearing the a neighbor go in and out of the room. It was so late and again I was so exhausted and over this place I wanted to sleep. I have asthma and so thankfully I brought my inhaler with me because I had an allergic reaction to the incense. First thing in the morning I call the front desk and nobody answers. Then I call Hotels.com. The hotel didnt give me ANY thing, not even an offer to change floors or rooms. Hotels.com was nice enough to give me a $50 credit. I ended up checking out early and losing $500 on terrible customer service, not holding other guests accountable, and just a terrible property overall.
