I chose this hotel for the location and price and it fit the bill perfectly.
Positives:
Easy check-in and staff on hand to assist. The rooms are small but suited my needs. I had a fridge and microwave which although I didn’t use much, was good to have when I did bring food back. Clean rooms and housekeeping available daily if requested.
Great lobby which I sat at frequently to grab a coffee and watch the world go by.
Free tea, coffee and water which kept me well hydrated.
Negatives:
The bathroom does need updating - the shower curtain doesn’t contain the water, so you end up getting the floor wet, even if you try to position to shower head towards the wall. No liquid shower gel or liquid hand soap, and only bars of soap provided which I found strange.
Not exclusive to this hotel but the area has a lot of homeless people hanging around. Whilst most are friendly, some are aggressive and walking outside after dark as a solo female traveller isn’t advised as a result.
Despite the above, I would stay at this hotel again as it served its purpose as a good Downtown base.
