When I arrived the receptionist was sat in her car outside, on her phone. No welcome, just asked for my name. I was then told that the card used to pay for my room had been declined (I used Hotels.com). I was then told that I need to contact them regarding the issue (this is at 10pm). When I got Hotels.com on my phone, they checked my reservation and stated that the hotel had been trying to charge the wrong amount to a virtual card. After putting my phone on loud speaker, so that the receptionist could hear the conversation, Hotels.com gave the card details and the correct charge to the receptionist. Finally after 30 minutes, I had a room to go to. The room was clean and bed was comfy, although the bathroom was dated. I will look to stay at a different hotel next time my business takes me through Albany.
