Overall great clean resort. Fantastic buffet breakfast and nice dinner options . It’s right on the beach so if the pool chairs are occupied (usually they are by midmorning ) you can go relax on the beach. Close to village shopping and dining. However, I was disappointed for a couple of reasons. First of all, it didn’t have a valet parking. Every time we went out we had to get the car ourself. Once we left the car in the courtyard for 10 min because we needed to get changed quickly for our dinner reservation the staff told us to park in the parking lot. We insisted so eventually they let us park on the side of the courtyard. Most hotels in the area had valet ( we checked when we went for dinner) The other thing I was disappointed about was that most of the time they run out of pool towels by 1-2 pm. We stayed there for a week. They closed the pool hut and pool food and drink service by 5pm. The guests can use the pool until 11pm though. I think the resort is a bit overpriced for those reasons . On the other side we had amazing sunset view from our ocean front balcony - priceless.

You didn’t have to go far to the pool or the beach. Great little coffee shop and gift shop. I liked the fact that the property is so close to 2 shopping malls with restaurants.

We had a great stay. The rooms a tiny, beds are nice, pillows are in need of replacement. The rooms are quiet, but the hotel needs some love and mostly new carpet or a good cleaning. The food was good for breakfast. The pool was great and we could typically find a Lounge chair to chill. Walk out to the beach and you will see turtles, that’s amazing. The lava lava beach club was so great and close to the property. We ate there every night and the place is so much fun with great food.

The view was absolutely gorgeous, and there were a lot of pathways for walking around the hotel. Hotel location was great, very close to restaurants and shopping all walkable distance.

Slice of paradise. This resort is not only beautiful, the staff is inviting and helpful. Pools are clean. There’s beach access. Near by are two shopping centers easy to walk to. It’s a good family resort or a couples get away. Aloha.

We had the perfect vacation there! First class place to stay in a first class area of the island. Plan on extra costs for resort/spa fees, parking, and good WiFi, but if you’re planning a trip and money isn’t a big concern, we highly recommend this hotel!

The views are amazing..we’ve stayed here multiple times. Very walkable to the beach and shopping. Great pools. We were not impressed with the restaurant. Food was awful and expensive. My husband got food poisoning on Christmas Eve. They don’t provide coffee cups in the rooms and sad they took away valet.

Property is not well maintained and I have seen a bunch of dirty spots on the bedding. There are water and stains on the floor and elevators. Basically it is not in a good condition. Seems like <3 category. What makes me feel even more uncomfortable is that they don’t really help. I have to drink water in the early morning due to personal reasons. I came back late like 10pm on that day and every store was closed. I asked front desk if I can get some water but they don’t have bottle of waters even if I can pay for it. I paid 900 dollars a night and 40 dollars for resort fee. I don’t think it is worth it. Really bad experience. I complained to Marriot online and someone reached out to me via email. But the email just said the complain was forwarded to the management and nothing else they can do. No one from this hotel has reached out to me after that. And the situation was not improved at all in the following stays.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Room was nice and clean overall. The only cons was that the bed wasn't a king size when it said it is. other than that, room was nice and roomy. I love the pool and the walk to the beach. Be care when you swim in the ocean, there are rocks in the ocean. Love the coffee shop in the lobby and coffee was great! We also tried the breakfast at Hawaiian Calls restaurant and it was great and service was awesome.

When I walked in my room, just cleaned, it smelled like dirty dishwater on the bathroom floor (cleaner odor plus dirty water odor). Awful. I wiped the floor with a hand towel hoping to remove the smell, but the cleaning person never removed that towel from the bathroom, though I indicated it was no longer usable. The other thing, was the drum beat of incessant marketing of one kind or other. Phone messages, flyers under the door. What a drag!

This property is very conductive for those whom want a relaxed atmosphere. The grounds are well maintained with picturesque water views. You are in walking distance of both King's and Queens shopping plaza to shop, browse, or dine. I only wish there were most activities at this property and a better variety for dining options at the hotel.

Luau was wonderful. The room balcony opened onto concrete rooftop. This was unexpected & should have been explained upon checking in. I did not like that in such a lovely hotel. The swimming pool area was magnificent.

バスルームは広いけどただのユニットバス。バスタブは補修箇所が沢山あり、全体に薄茶色が染み付いて不潔に見えた。拭き掃除はされていてもカビの除去がされていないのだ。とてもお湯をためる気にならなかった。非常に不満。 部屋は普通。施設のアクティビティが色々あった様だが１つも使わず、こちらの確認不足だったのか？その分毎日40ドルかかり全く無駄にした。 細かいことを気にしなければアメリカ人には良いのだろう。エリアは徒歩圏内にKINGS SHOPもQUEENS もあってとても便利。

Had a wonderful week at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott enjoying the resort activities, pools and ocean view room. The staff activities and exercise programs are a plus. Would have rated it 5 Stars but for the disappointing food options at Hawaii Calls restaurant and the fact that with the age of portions of the property, deferred maintenance necessitated the plumber 3 times.

The property is beautiful and on the first day exceptionally quiet. However as the stay proceeded so did the construction on site with a jackhammer penetrating the quiet of the day throughout at various intervals, even on Sunday. My wife decided not to visit the Spa as the renovation work was literally adjacent and the noise unbearably close. Aside from that, great stay, beautiful view, decent food in their one dining area.

The resort was beautiful, people were friendly and for the most part everything was great. One complaint is they are doing renovations and the machinery was very loud all day every day we were here (tile work, jackhammers, etc). It took away from the relaxing atmosphere of Hawaii. The last day we were here we requested a late checkout as our flight did not leave until 9:30 PM that night. We were given a 1 PM late checkout with option to pay 1/2 day room rate ~$150 with the caveat we might have to move rooms for that last day. When we came back to the front desk to confirm and pay that, another employee Elizabeth told us that our room had been booked for the next day and that whoever told us that was new (which she later took back) and they “didn’t do that” ie allow guests to move to another room for the final half day…basically too bad, we were going to have to sit around for six hours. The employee who had told us it was okay was luckily still at the desk and we were told we can try to ask her, good luck. After nine days there, you would think they would do their best to accommodate us. We did speak to the very nice employee Kiani who took care of us with a smile but it did leave a bad impression that Elizabeth wouldn’t just accommodate her guests. We were paying for it after all. Some people will do everything they can to help others and some people will do everything they can not to. In summary, it was a wonderful stay, just a few minor issues. Pools were amazing.

It was a "make the best of it" type of hotel. There are a lot of little things wrong that kept adding up - like the hot, dark elevators. The floor outside the elevators was under construction so one elevator was out of service, making the remaining elevator wait slow. The seats at the coffee area tables were way too short for the tables. I am 6' and while sitting, the table was up near my shoulders. Same with the chairs at the bar. Was surprised that the parking cost $30 per day. The outlets in the room were old and worn out - so when you plug something in it falls out. The phone plugs and the outlets by the bed were all on one side - so the other side had none. They forgot to give us the shell lei upon check in - but when we went back and told them they easily got it for us. The lady at the checkout desk was rude. Just a lot of things like this adding up.

Decent stay
Room on first floor felt a bit like being in a dungeon. Asked for a change but was told there was no other room with a king. Seemed a bit odd as the hotel not at all busy. Other than that service was fine. Restaurant was better than expected and pool was decent. Nothing outstanding but a decent stay.
