Loved this hotel. It ticked all the boxes for us. We can be quite picky and the hotel didn’t disappoint. We took our children aged 4 and 7 and they loved the grounds, the pool, tv in th bathtub , lovely touch of cookies and milk which they could order anytime from 5:30 onwards. X

Incredible experience
An amazing experience and will definitely be returning. Every single employee treated me and my partner well and they went abohe and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. The food was fantastic and the best steak i have ever eaten. Big shoit out to Paul who worked there on making us feel at home.

Fantastic customer service. Lovely family room and the conservatory restaurant food was great too. Excellent location for exploring the New Forest. Unfortunately the EV charger wasn’t working.

Over-priced and poor service
I paid £373 for a Superior room. It was over-priced. At that price I expected something special. It was not. While the decor was in good condition it’s appearance was dated. To get to the room you had to ascend steps under a low beam, hardly the impression you’d expect. We waited a long time for our drinks to be served in the bar, which was not busy. We waited 40 minutes to be served our starters in the conservatory restaurant. My salt and pepper squid was tasteless. We waisted almost as long for the main course. Only one waitress had to serve all the diners.

It was a 5 Star experience from start to finish. The staff were superb, made us feel extremely welcome and went over and above in all respects. We are looking forward to returning and will certainly make the Rhinefield one of our favourites to visit. We would like say, "Thank You" to the waiter who served our breakfast for his delightful manner, it certainly contributed to our wonderful stay.

The location of the hotel is amazing which is reflected in the room rate. Being able to walk out into the forest and walk for miles on car fee tracks is a massive bonus. The staff are very friendly and the food in the Armada restaurant was top notch. However one gets the feeling that this hotel has seen better days and is need of a huge injection of cash to bring it up to date. Compared to other spa hotels, the price tag is too high for the overall condition of the property. Furnishings and decor are looking quite jaded and the gardens need far more gardeners to give the property the gardens it deserves. I hope there are plans afoot to restore the property to its former glory.

Not as good as expected :-(
Classic double room was very basic for just under £400 for 1 night! The air conditioning didn't work so it was a very hot & uncomfortable night. Bathroom was tiny & needs a revamp, it took ages to fill the bath up. No complimentary water in the room until we got a knock on the door later on in the evening asking if we needed any, why not just keep it in the minifridge in the first place? On check-in we weren't told where we needed to go for breakfast etc or any other information, we were just handed a swipe card. There were noisy wedding guests walking past our room quite late. Pre-natal massage wasn't good, I put on the form I wanted to feel relaxed, and come out feeling the opposite, it was a really firm massage & my arms & left side of my back were hurting after. The only positive to the hotel is how beautiful the grounds were! Overall feeling disappointed as it was a stay for a big special ocassion :-( , will probably try out Carey's Manor hotel & spa next time instead!

Relaxing and feel good place
We had a wonderful long weekend. We really enjoyed the facilities and all the staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The spa area is small which didn’t impact us as we went there towards the end of the day but I suspect it will get busy.

Lovely stay
Beautiful hotel and grounds around it. We upgraded to the superior room, a very spacious room and the beautiful forest view. Armada restaurant food and staff were 5*. Robert & Alex especially made us very welcome. Thank you Spa facilities were nice, pool smaller than we expected however it wasn't busy.

The property is very impressive when you drive up, but once inside, you notice how run down it is. We had a classic room. It was dated and boring. Check-in was poor. The person failed to give us any information. Even the breakfast times/parking/drop off of luggage/porter for luggage etc. We hauled our own luggage from car lot because you’re not allowed to drop off infront of building-which is weird. Signs of no stopping everywhere, which is not welcoming. Outdoor furniture old and umbrellas broken . Tried to open one for awhile, staff watched and didn’t help. Staff make mistakes on food orders. Had that 3x. Poorly trained staff. Food was amazing tho. Chef is the best thing about the hotel, besides the outside area. Gardens a little in disrepair, but overall a pretty property to walk.

We celebrated two family birthdays by taking our extended family for a long weekend stay at Rhinefield House hotel. The house is vey impressive with an interesting history. All the staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The main building is beautiful and worthy of another era but the hotel rooms & bar are not worth the price, rooms are clean and big if dated. The bar is in need of updating and improvement, easy clean chairs more practical than elegant. The staff were doing their best but often seemed harassed. The main thing that was lacking was the small details which for a hotel with only 50 rooms should be easy to maintain. I booked this for my husbands 50th and we had a fab time but it just lacks the attention to detail that would make it exceptional. The heated outdoor pool made the stay for us. This is clearly a popular wedding venue and I can see why but for a special occasion there are better choices.

Beautiful and well cared for property.Staff were friendly and helpful and the meal in the main restaurant was delicious. Would have been nice to have some cushions on the rather hard wooden furniture particularly the sun beds. Overall a very positive experience.

A decadent treat
This was a birthday treat for my partner and it was amazing from start to finish. It was such a decadent hotel. The rooms was lovely and comfortable, waffle dressing gowns each, beautiful gardens to walk in. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the Conservatory, breakfast the following day we decided to have in the room as a treat and it was lovely. We also had afternoon tea booked as a birthday treat and we could not have been better looked after . It was such a lovely stay we will talk about it for ages.

disappointing experience
Very disappointing stay. Frosty inadequate greeting, as hotel has many twists and turns with very few signs helping navigation especially with a one way system for safe distancing which hardly anyone was adhering too. I wasn’t properly shown areas to enjoy which led to being reluctant to take advantage of facilities. Because of this I chose to have dinner in my room through room service. Meal room about 30 minutes to arrive which was fine but the tray appeared with nothing covering my meal such as a cover or lid and was not even warm enough to eat so left it and went hungry. Breakfast was the worst event as arrived as At 9.30am as confirmed with reception the day before, but my full English breakfast did not appear till 10.25am and check out was 11am. I would of complained but very few staff around to ask what was happening. Although from the outside the hotel certainly looks grand and historic but the grounds which were vast,lacked any wow factor and interest at all, I will definitely not be returning to this hotel.

It is disappointing to read that despite our efforts during your stay other visitors were not following the clearly sign posted one way system. The delivery of room service and breakfast we have most certainly got wrong on this occasion and this has been challenged with the team. We can and do deliver much better than this. We have worked very hard with the team returning to the hotel since reopening and I it is clear that we are returning the hotel to its normal quality of delivery at a fast pace, my apologies that this was not the case when you came to visit.
