This was fine. The room was feezing, thermostat couldn't be adjusted and the shower little more than a tepid dribble that you had to stand very close to the wall to get slightly wet. The shower had a shower curtain, which is horribly old fashioned. I would've liked to see a fridge and free bottled water in the room. I appreciated the hairdryer. I stayed in a 'standard' room and I guess a higher price band room would be more modern.
However, the bed was comfortable, and the bar/cafe and staff were excellent.
What really lets the place down is beyond its control; the road works that make it difficult to cross the road and navigate into the city centre. It is convenient for the centre.

food options open until late, which is very convenient
We enjoyed staying at the Leonardo Hotel in Charlotte Place in Southampton. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good and checking in and out was easy.
The hotel did go the extra mile by letting us store our luggage for a few hours before our check in time so we could go out and look around the shops and attend the local showcase cinema.
This Hotel is Amazing Really Lovely Hotel Lovely rooms and great space i will Definitely Recommend this Hotel and would go back to stay there.

The first room we were given on floor 11 had a very pungent smell and mould on the carpet. We could not sleep there. Luckily the wonderful reception team relocated us and everything else was fine
Overnight stay whilst visiting Southampton. Good hotel and staff. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Literally situated in the middle of a busy roundabout with extensive roadworks all around so getting to it on foot involved lots of complicated road crossings. Situated right next to the parks so lovely once you made it across the roads.

No parking bay at this hotel, very inconvenient. Staff not super helpful, This hotel is on a roundabout with no safe place for pedestrians to cross. The room itself was good, clean, spacious enough for our group of three, but water pressure was terrible and few amenities. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Comfortable bed, good shower. Everything you need apart from parking. We couldn’t park nearby so parked a 20 min walk away for £12 for 24 hours. Due to lack of parking we would not stay again

I was placed in a room with the door right by the lifts making it very noisy, the bathroom was also very small and dirty. The window was tiny making it feel very dark and even smaller in the room

Liked proximity to park and west guy mall. Didn't like need to visit bar in lobby to get ice for room. Didn't like mix up over name. Thought I was booking Royal Leonardo near cruise port but this facility is further away from ports.

Great central location but on arrival roadworks outdide made it hard to get in and out of the hotel.

This was the coldest hotel room i have ever stayed in. We tried adjusting the heating but it made no difference. We didn't check in until 1.30am due to a last minute change of plans, and we thought the temperature would get better overnight, but it didn't. I mentioned it at check out and I was told that its often the case when it's cold outside! They said the maximum it goes to is 24° but it felt more like 4°. I was also told that next time i should ask for a heater!

Location was great, pillows and bed was comfortable. The fact that vegan food options in house was awesome. No complaints.

Had a problem with the room, which we didnt report until checkout, but the team were fantasic and imediately made a partial refund. Excellent customer service.
Be aware, there is no close parking, that's easily available.
