We loved four-night stay at New Place. It's an impressive house, great swimming pool, beautiful walk through the woods. Good range of breakfast options. Friendly staff. The only point we didn't like was in our room with the lack of draw or shelf-space to put clothes. Not a single drawer and two tiny shelves in the wardrobe. This made it difficult to stow our clothes for the duration of our stay.

Stayed enroute to Southampton Cruise Terminal. Nice quiet location. Easy check in easy parking. Lovely breakfast! Room recently refurbished. Corridor in accom blocks need refurbishing now. Enjoyed swimming pool and jacuzzi and sauna. Grounds and gardens beautifully looked after.

Good location, big room, safe, nice swimming pool, great value for money. Unfortunately let down as had no power in the room as fuse kept popping. Hotel were getting electrician to fix it.

Beautiful property, lovely bar area to relax in the evening with surprisingly good food. Room was a little dated and the gym was very basic, but for a short stay it was perfectly fine

Overall, I had a good stay at New Place. The room was clean and comfortable, and the leisure facilities were good. My only criticism concerns the catering options, which are obscenely expensive for poor quality. A half-pint bottle of lemonade cost £3.75, which is absurd; a small chicken burger and some chips cost £22, and the chicken was badly overcooked; a ham sandwich (which I had assumed would be on good bread, but was in fact simply on sliced white bread) cost £12. The only chips available were 'chunky' chips, with no fries available at all. Further, I was disappointed at how limited the options were for room service. My time at the hotel coincided with the middle of a storm, and I didn't particularly want to have to brave the rain to go to the main hotel building for food. But upon calling (there was no room service menu in the room), I was told that the only options were pizza or a hamburger (with no cheese or other addons available). This was very disappointing considering how extensive the main restaurant menu is. In all, I enjoyed my stay, but I would hope that the hotel works on its menus and makes catering easier (and cheaper!) because it is currently unbelievably expensive for poor quality food.

It was an okay stay. We went there for my work xmas party. Room was hard to find as the one we were allocated was not in the actual manor house in the pictures. Barely any shower pressure and we had a bad sleep as we could hear some people leaving in the middle of the night pulling their suitcases and starting their car. The breakfast wasn't that tasty either. Overall, the staff were friendly, the place was clean and spacious but nothing special.

Interesting place to stay, difficult to navigate without familiarity. There are signs for some things but these are not lit and more tricky in the dark. Room was comfortable once found and had usual amenities.

Beautiful building, comfy bed and really good facilities. Bar restaurant expensive, odd motel-style layout and the hot water didn't work so a very cold shower in the morning.

Not great for disabled persons. We found one disabled parking space on the whole site. No disabled parking anywhere near the accommodation. No signage for disabled or easy access. The accesses we were told to use were steps with no slopes or ramps.

Nice standard equipped rooms both warm and welcoming if a little short on welcome package with just basic coffee and tea. No Towels and very small soap and minimal toiletries. All staff were super helpful charming and ready to help with always a smile. Breakfast sadly a disaster with minimal choice and many of the minimal basic breakfast elements running out and poor coffee and tea service. Staff did their best with a very busy service. No room service on offer and little in the way of afternoon teas and snacks available although staff did their best to offer best of what little was available. With better breakfast and food service would make a great place to stay.

Very dated paid for upgrade with patio did not receive. Spoke to receptuin offered change in room then when back down in reception advised they made a mistake. No offer of a solutuin. Room had lots of cobwebs. Delux double was 2 single beds pushed together. Very dissappointed with accommodation.

Special Time Away Ruined by Poor Hotel Srandards
Dreadful night away for our first trip together for more than 13years without kids. Room too hot and noisy, pillows were absolutely awful. Was on an online blood alcohol content calculator at 3am trying to work out earliest we could go home. We ended up having breakfast and asked a member of staff for a fresh spoon and was handed one from a used table in progress of being cleared. Everything seemed too much effort when we asked staff for assistance. On arrival we were not told there were child swimming lessons that evening, which impacted our plans at very short notice.

Parking was an issue as there were a lot of guests for a wedding, but we found a spot eventually. Rooms are good, only issue is when other people stand outside adjoining rooms talking and smoking which is not normally an issue with conventional hotels. God breakfast, good spa, good value.
