The motel itself is a little tired, but it has extensive grounds and wildlife wandering around. Unique! We saw kangaroos and emus wandering about. Fantastic!

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. It is Close to the town centre and kangaroos came up very close. We would stay there agsin for sure.

It was a nice stay. The room was tidy, complete with a microwave and toaster which was handy. The views of the nearby hills were amazing. It’s obviously an old motel though, very tired looking, the mattress was uncomfortable and the fluorescent lighting outside the windows shining into the room was another annoyance. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The accommodation was clean and perfect for a short stay. The weather was beautiful but obviously too early in the season to have the pool available.

The friendliness of the reception staff particularly Tania and John made us feel very welcome and our stay extremely enjoyable. Waking up to kookaburras and watching the kangaroos roam freely from our room was fantastic. The dinner restaurant menu prepared and cooked by John was delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Lovely atmosphere and very clean and relaxing. Beautiful meals in the restaurant and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back there again.

Great value for being in the heart of the Grampian
We enjoyed our one night stay. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Beautiful settings and superb views of the Grampians with lots of kangaroos around. The accomodation is comfortable but dated but this is reflected in the charges to stay there. Great Value for your money. We would definitely stay again.

Property canceled my booking minutes before we arrived, without a phone call, jυst a message, which I had not recieved. They explained that as we were to arrive after hours (which I had said to them a couple of days earlier) they required full payment, since that hadn't been made, they pulled our booking. I had no idea this was their preference. No where did I read this and as I said, no phone call was made to me to explain this! After debating this discrepancy, my family were allowed a room. The saga continued, the 'daily' housekeeping didn't exist. Our dishes sat, we couldnt use them for the following meals. The shower was dirty, with an indecisive water temperature, still had hair in the drain, hand soap spilt on the floor, floor hadn't been vacuumed, moved bed to the centre to tuck my daughter in to discover hair, food, rubbish etc down the side of her bed. Filthy! The only plus, the natural beauty of the grampians and the wildlife.

Thank you for your feedback Ness. Unfortunately, those individuals who check in late and simply leave without paying has necessitated we, like the majority of other accommodation establishments taking payment prior to arrival. We send messages via your booking channel, which is the way the channels expect us to communicate.We do not advertise daily servicing and provide a dish cloth and tea towel in all rooms.We are sorry to hear that the housekeeping was not up to standard. We are currently training new staff and will be reminding them about the standards we expect.

Hi TonyThank you for your feedback. Following your first report regarding the hot water, it was identified that the hot water cylinder needed replaced. Unfortunately we have had to wait for a replacement cylinder to be delivered and installed. We have not been able to find a problem with the heating, however we're sorry to hear you found the the staff were not overly helpful in facilitating your request for a room move.

From the moment we arrived our experience with the hotel was amazing . Friendly service excellent location and clean … we were surrounded by wildlife (kangaroos, deers, cockatoos, and kookaburras ) it was just perfect in every way . Thank you so much . We highly recommend it

The aircon did not work properly which is why we faced a lot of trouble sore throat,fever and the weather of the night was very cold The mountain view from the room was very disappointing and and this is the worst view i have ever seen as i have been different hotel in grampian various time A lot of insect came underneath the door which was very disturbing. Otherwise the entrance and front part of the hotel was nice

Definitely not a 5 star resort but you can see there is love for the motel and the guests. Appears to still require some updates in places however alot of updates have been completed recently and some detail upgrades could be focused on in the future.. keep up the great work and look forward to stopping past again soon. Staff were great as always.. :)

The sliding door to my room had a gap down the bottom which let in the cold breeze and had plenty of room for creepy crawlies to get in. The reverse cycle heating was insufficient. While it was better than nothing it definitely did not warm the room up. Thankfully the electric blanket worked well. Plenty of wildlife around the property with a spectacular view which made for lots of wonderful photo opportunities.
