We had an initial hiccup with a different room being reserved than what we actually booked on expedia so I recommend confirming with the Inn via phone which room you have booked but they sorted it out for us and we had a really nice stay. Stayed a night each in the deluxe family and the family rooms and both were clean, nice, spacious rooms and had everything we needed. Both restaurants connected to the Inn had great food and service. Thank you.

Restaurants and shops within short walking distance. Weekends can be noisy at night because of street parties and music nearby

Does the job
Stayed at Digger Inn a number of times now. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Had very little interaction with staff beyond collecting keys but they are friendly. Wifi system is a little arcane and patchy. Food in the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The Thorn Tree is much better than the hotel bar/restaurant. But overall, for Francistown, it works. I will stay there again.

Business trip to Francistown
Online booking was easy and efficient, the staff were very friendly, our wifi did not work all the time causing some frustration.

Freundliches Personal, unkomplzierter Check-In und Check-Out, grosses und sauberes Zimmer und Bad, bequeme Betten. Nur das angeschlossene Restaurant (Dinner) und Cafe (Frühstück) sind nicht so prickelnd hinsichtlich der Qualität des Essens.

Colonial and friendly.
I like Diggers. Stayed a few times and it suits our needs adequately. Colonial style architecture and design feel. Friendly staff and good food next door. Clean rooms and usually not too busy. Good hotel.

A quiet place in the city
The hotel is quiet and secure, a comfortable and clean place for individuals or families. There are two restaurants available with excellent food and reasoable price. There is a gym and the neighorhood area is safe for walking/jogging.

Short three night stay
The property was well cared for and clean and most of the reception staff were friendly and competent. There was ongoing confusion about whether we had paid in advance, and at first how many nights we were staying. One of the managers knew there was a confirmation email from Hotels.com but evidently that didn't get communicated to the rest of the reception staff as I was asked to pay again upon checkout. However a nice well-maintained room and good amenities. My third stay in Francistown and next trip I will probably stay there again.

Nice hotel for a good price
The hotel is in a good location and has secure parking - great for travelers passing through Francistown on the way to somewhere else.

First impression on parking the car at the back was OMG !! On being shown the available rooms we were very impressed. The novel set up of the restaurant and snack bar was enlightening. Only there for one night but will certainly use again

The hotel is unfortunately situated above a liquor shop and a restaurant/pub. People drank at the restaurant until late in the night and made a huge amount of noise which could be heard in our rooms.

Where not to stay in Francistown
There was no wifi although it was advertised. There was no toilet paper and although our credit card was debited the reception had no knowledge and wanted payment

nice comfy hotel. big clean room - good wifi + a/c
a lot of thought has gone into the rooms at this hotel and it really does have a comfortable feel. however arrival was fraught since the main road through the city was totally closed and virtually no diverted traffic signs visible so my gps went ape! eventually found it but unknowingly went in via back door and from the parking there were no signs to reception so spent more than five minutes walking the corridors! I had paid gbp 10 more for this hotel than the peermont and it was worth it. happy efficient reception (even came up to room to alert me to a phone call) big clean room - good wifi great very efficient a/c, lots of electrical plugs with three plug types. proper fridge. quality bed linen and towels but no bath tub. nice balcony with view of square and two chairs and a table. secure parking with attendant. highlight of evening was a lovely meal in their restaurant, upstairs just across the square well cooked, well presented food. great steak - tender and tasty. good value. thoroughly recommended.

Durch mangelnde Beschilderung war das Hotel abends schwer zu finden. Die fehlende Motivation der Mitarbeiter verlangsamt diverse Prozesse wie zB Check-In. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber.

Nice hotel, nice price
The Diggers Inn is a clean, comfortable hotel for a decent price. The room had a good wifi connection and was in a decent neighborhood. The Thorn Tree restaurant next door had an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. The hotel restaurant was also reasonably priced and the menu was available through room service. We will stay here again on our next trip to Francistown.

comfy, nice bathrooms, good service
Located in a small enclosed strip-mall just a block off the main road, the hotel is a convenient and clean business hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The baths are modern and recently renovated with plenty of hot water . A restaurant-bar for dinner and a cafe for breakfast are part of the same building complex and offer good food at reasonable prices. Overall a convenient and very comfortable stop before entering Zimbabwe through Plumtree.

good place to break a journey
The hotel was of a high standard with clean and good sized rooms, pleasant and polite staff and very comfortable beds. Sorry, but can't comment on food as we ate elsewhere. We would certainly stay again if we were in Francistown on another occasion

Comfortable room
The room was nice and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom decent. No complaints. Only complaint is that the hotel Manager did not have our Hotel.com booking! I had to talk him into taking responsibility to sort it out! That's not professional! Maybe you should check out where the bug was.

Superb value
A recent overhaul of the hotel makes it a true gem. The amply sized rooms were excellent in every way (shower, beds, flat screen TV, desk for work, etc). Staff was friendly. The mini-mall in which the hotel is situated contains a very nice pub and separate cafe, both affiliated to the hotel (you can charge your food to your room). The main street of pleasant Francistown is also 50 meters away.
