Very close to train & buses, only about 3 streets away- Bus from Airport leaves you 3 streets away from Hotel- staff members were nice & helpful, especially in giving directions- no problems with our room- Beach about 5 minute walk- so much great food nearby- hotel breakfast buffet is awesome with choices for all types of likes- thank you so much for hassle free stay- definitely will stay here again

Great location. Fantastic staff.
The hotel was perfect for me. The rooms are simple and a little dated and spotlessly clean. You have everything you need, big comfortable bed, excellent super quiet aircon. Small fridge. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The staff are super friendly, kind and helpful. Excellent selection at breakfast. Lots of comfy seating in public areas where you can read and chill. There is a pool, I didn't use it but area was clean and tidy. Near to bars restaurants and beach. The airport bus also dropped us off just around the corner. Train station 10 minute walk.

Great, economic hotel
Although I´ve visited Sitges many times, this was the first time I´d stayed at the El Cid (despite seeing it regularly when looking for hotels). I was more than pleasantly surprised. Although it´s like stepping back into the late 80´s in respect of the style and decor of the hotel, it has everything you need for a great, economic holiday. Decent sized rooms and very comfortable beds; a great breakfast service that runs until 12:00 with a variety of hot and cold options; a nice little pool area (although it did get full pretty early so you need to be quick to grab a sun lounger!); and a convenient location for all that Sitges has to offer. Definitely recommended if you want a cheaper but still enjoyable hotel in sunny Sitges!

A 1 star hotel that deserves a 5 star rating!
In a word ‘amazing’! From the initial reservation to check out my entire stay was excellent. Great staff. Great room. Great facilities. Excellent breakfast. This hotel deserves to be way more than a 1 star property. The staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and kind. It was some of the best customer service I have received in Sitges in over 45 years of visiting the town. Ana at the ‘hotelsitges’ reservations team was beyond efficient and helpful with very prompt response to my emails. Well done all at the El Cid and at the ‘hotelsitges’ reservations team. I have already made 4 more reservations to stay at the hotel for 2023/2024. I will be recommending the El Cid Hotel to my family’s friends and work colleagues.

Having read reviews we thought this would be a decent enough hotel. Unfortunately we were sorely mistaken and stayed less than 24 hours. The room we were given was internal, I cannot even describe “the view”. There were exposed wires in the wall, the only lamp in the room was a tall standing lamp that could only be turned on and off by plugging it in at the wall, could literally brush your teeth whilst sitting on the toilet. But by far the worst and most unbearable element was the heat. The air conditioning was 27.8 degrees when we arrived. We also turned the ceiling fan on which didn’t help at all, in fact the temperature only increased and would not lower below 28 degrees. The shower did not drain and therefore the base filled up and it had to be turned off so didn’t overflow, therefore unable to take a full shower to wash hair etc. just unbearable. Went straight to reception to be told a) minimum temperature a/c could be set to was 27 degrees and there were no other rooms available we could ask again in the morning. We didn’t wait around, spent one very sleepless night in the unbearable heat and moved to another hotel the next morning. Cannot under any circumstances recommend this hotel. Absolutely not as advertised, beyond disappointing. Was not expecting 5 star but expected functioning air conditioning in the middle of summer, cleanliness and a shower that drains, not unreasonable expectations.

Super friendly, great value central hotel!
Absolutely delighted with my 3-days in the El Cid and well worth more stars!! Great central position in beautiful Sitges and a 5 minute walk from the train station (to Barcelona/airport). It’s an older, traditional hotel, which I like, and the staff were particularly helpful and friendly throughout. Rooms are comfortable and most have a balcony, but double glazed to cut out any potential nocturnal street noise. The breakfast is very good with a large selection of both Continental and hot food choices and the sheltered swimming pool (lots of loungers available) was the icing on the cake. In fact, the El Cid ticked all my boxes and will definitely return when in Sitges! Muchas Gracias!!
