Gentile Signora Claudia, leggo sempre le recensioni che fanno i nostri Clienti e constato con un po' di amarezza che - eccetto per quelli di un ceto educativo più elevato- i nostri connazionali mostrano sovente una tendenza a criticare che non ritroviamo nella nostra Clientela al 99% internazionale. Le assicuro che la camera che ha occupata è molto correttamente pulita e periodicamente disinfettata, tutte le camere, anche quelle a più buon mercato, come quella che ha scelto sono decorate con tessuti, mobili e suppellettili scelte (siamo una Villa Storica e forse ha amalgamato nel suo pensiero pezzi antichi e vecchiume). Per quanto riguarda la prima colazione, ci mangio anch'io ogni mattina e non sto ad enumerate quello che c'è di offerto: uova in vari modi, vari tipi di pane, brioche di varie forme e fatture, frutta fresca e macedonia, yogurt di diversi tipi, pomodori (freschi dalla mia azienda agricola), affettati e formaggi, ecc Come detto all'inizio, i nostri connazionali sono un po' speciali dietro alla tastiera del loro computer; qualche perla: "il caffé non è come quello che faceva la Mamma", "ho trovato due foglie di albero che galleggiavano sulla piscina", "ho dovuto servirmi un whisky da sola" (abbiamo un honor bar self service che la maggioranza dei nostri Ospiti adorano), erano cascati degli aghi di pino sul tennis .... Mi dispiace dover scrivere questo, ma è importante imparare a viaggiare e capire le differenze di stile che il nostro sito web spiega molto chiaramente per evitare sorprese. Dear Andrew, thank you for having taken the time to review your stay at Villa le Barone. Thank you also for your remark about the shower ... I will investigate the room that you were occupying and try and correct the positionning of the shower. In typically Tuscan houses, ceilings are made with beams and floors are made with terracotta bricks ... expect marble floors in Rome and wooden floors in the alps ... at Villa le Barone rooms and floors are cleaned thoroughly every day and if you choose to go barefoot you must expect to have a bit or bricks microparticles directly on the bottom of your feet. Putting a rug or carpeting the floor would really not be a good solution. I am glad you enjoyed the gardens ... they are manucured by several gardeners, I am glad you enjoyed the pool ... it is brand new, made of travertine marble, heated when necessary, filled with salt water for the sake of your skin ... it has cost a sizable amount of money. Along with many othe amenities you do not mention this is what I am paying for and this is what our Guests need to pay for since if I do not make a sufficient margin I will not be able to offer you a beautiful pool in a beautiful garden, a very nice tennis court, nice clean rooms and bathrooms (yours was not one of our most elegant), and top quality food. As for rules they are basic and related with the comfort of other Guests: noise level at the pool to a decent number of decibels, Guests not to come to evening dinner dressed for the pool, and Guests asked not to bring outside food on the premises and eat it picnic wise .... it so happens that we have cooks, maids and kitchen personnel at your service. You chose not to eat at the Villa; I am totally ok even though I believe you missed something. The price is 45€ for a luscious 4 course meal, but 36€ if planned in advance. Sincerely

Nous avons eu inopinement notre maitre d'hotel malade pendant trois semaines et il fallu trouver en milieu de saison de jeunes serveurs qui ont fait un excellent travail ... bien que ce n'était pas tout à fait des professionnels. Mille excuses. Aujourd'hui le maitre d'hotel est revenu. Pour ce qui concerne l'accès à l'eau du robinet et les collations que vous vous procurez vous-memes, je voudais vous dire que je ne suis pas tout à fait d'accord: la superbe piscine, la chambre confortable, la nourriture excellente et tout le reste coutent cher, trè s cher et c'est la vocation de Villa le Barone de fourir des boissons et de la nourriture ... donc si vous achetez ailleurs c'est autant de recette que nous aurons en moins pour payer les investissement que vous apprèciez bien. Donc, merci beaucoup de ne pas apporter de la nourriture et boissons de l'estérieur pour les manger et boire à l'hotel. Je suis sur que vous comprendrez. A bientot j'espère. Dear Guest, Villa le Barone kis a very old family Villa which has become open to Guests. We had to adapt to the walls as we are not allowed to make structural changes. All rooms are taken care of with the same care, but some have large bathrooms and some smaller ones. Let me disagree on one point of your review: besides the fact that there are no Michelin starred restaurants close to Villa le Barone, our restaurant serves excellent classical Tuscan recipes made with the best in season fresh products and accompanied by the excellent Chianti classico wines of the surroundings ... now, if you want to eat "sole meunière" with Chardonnay or the last of Yotam Ottolenghi's Tuscan interpretations you are right and might as well eat outside ... but please remember that food is part of discovering and understanding the territory you are in. Hello and thank you for your review. Our new infinty pool in travertine marble containing heated salt water is very nice and we are glad you enjoyed it as well as our rose gardens and food. We are in an old Villa and all rooms are different ... and cheaper rooms are those which are smaller :=))) ... but all are perfectly taken care of for their furnishings, fabrics and furniture. Bed hardness is a personal taste .... we are supplying Simmons mattresses generally medium hard with a "topper" sort of thick coverlet to give a soft touch.
