Fabulous hotel with the discount - quiet - central - great pool
“Excellent value! Comfortable, pleasant & hassel free.”
I would definitely return. This hotel was centrally located, we experienced no 'hassels' that may accompany a venue in a developing country. It's 2 blocks from the Chiang Mai Bizzar and 5-7 minutes from the city wall perimeter. We were all extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the people working in the hotel. For a three star rating... this hotel would rate more like a 4 star hotel. Double check whether or not breakfast is included as part of your reservation. We were surprised to find that our reservation did not include that meal. In comparison to other hotels that we stayed in during our Thailand adventure this would be rated high in value for pricing.
“Nice hotel”
It's standing in heart of Chiang mai, easy for to everywhere, I can eat all the night because it's near MC Donald 24 hrs, Burger King and 7-11, I love it
“Great Deal”
This hotel was a great deal! There was also a sweet pool/rec area. Can't beat the location for the Night Bazaar and for restaurants.

“Central Duangtawan Hotel”
One of the few high-rise hotels, it is located a short walk from the city gates. It has an excellent location between the city gates and the river. It has a perfect location across the street from the night market. Gorgeous entry way. The pool is decent. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Beautiful Chiang Mai”
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is a big hotel, with great views and a pleasant staff. Our room was quite large and impressive and didn't cost much at all. Some things are a bit worn, but overall I would highly recommend it. Try the morning and afternoon buffets. Delicious! Also, Chiang Mai is amazing. You are bound to have an enjoyable stay.

“A Little Disappointed”
This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this hotel (our previous stay was in March 2012). He is Thai and I am an American who has traveled extensively in Thailand, so I feel we offer fair and balanced expectations of Thai hotels. Both times we stayed at the Centara Duangtawan, we were in Dynasty Club rooms. While we had a wonderful stay in March, this visit (July 2012) was a bit of a let down. This was mostly due to small things -- no welcome fruit that was supposed to be included, only two pieces of free laundry a day instead of three as appeared in the room description, and with the exception of the Dynasty Club staff we found everyone to be much less attentive than during our previous stay. Having said this, we still feel that the hotel is a good find for the price. It is an older building in general, but the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. We did have trouble with our mattress this time (as did a friend who booked a Superior room) -- it had no real support, and was so soft that we found ourselves sleeping on the floor the second night of our stay. Neither of us remembered having this issue during our earlier stay. I would sum things up by saying that that while we would be willing to stay here again, it probably won't be our first choice the next time we visit Chiang Mai.
