It was a bit shocking to find out how much additional money it cost to reserve a small Cabana at the Adult pool. Not a good idea.

We had a relaxing and comfortable stay at the Grand Park Royal Resort. Our room was fantastic. Our Butler, Yajahira, took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Jessica was also very helpful. Both ladies helped us have a great trip and were a lot of fun. We had a really fun dinner with Oscar at the hibachi table. The restaurants had good food and friendly servers. And Karina was the best, always with a friendly smile serving drinks to the beach dwellers!

It was close to the beach, the room was cleaned every day and very nice. It was an excellent view and many activities were offered. Jessica was amazing. She communicating with me daily about activities, making reservations, and very friendly. She was the best part of our stay.

Nice resort, close to stores and shopping center. Only issue we had was ac in room was struggling to keep room cool, not sure if it was just the humidity on heat or wrong time of year to be there. But overall staff was very helpful.

Resort was good. Staff was friendly. Most of food lacked variety and quality. Room was nice and clean. Did not seem overly crowded but we may have been there at a good time. Got roped Into the sales presentation for hours of our first day was annoying.

We loved our stay! Almost every member of the staff was extremely friendly. It room was very nice and the view was amazing, we had a beachfront jacuzzi suite and it was exactly what the website represented. The beach is beautiful and clean. There were oh it gets working different entertainment shows every night and fun events at the pool during the day. I'm kind of a picky eater so the food was really my only complaint. At the buffet a lot of the items were not warm. Another complaint I have though is that when we first got there concierge understood that we were extremely hot, very tired and just wanted to get to a room but he held us for way too long and his desk trying to get us into a timeshare even after we explained to him that we were not interested and just wanted to go to our room. All in all we were very happy with our stay though. And if we ever come back to Cancun I want to make sure we come back to the Grand Park Royal.

I would rate this 8/10. We loved the property, although the walk to the beach was a bit inconvenient sometimes especially with the heat. We had the royal tower room which comes with a butler and we were very disappointed compared to the reviews. The only helpful thing they did was book the Bali bed and dinner reservations which we could’ve done ourselves. We were also disappointed that the pool closed at 8pm as there isn’t a whole lot to do at night if you don’t want to just drink or leave the resort. Many reviews said the food was unsatisfactory which I would disagree with, it was definitely acceptable and expected for an all inclusive experience. Lastly, we loved the employees, they also greet you in passing and are so helpful, it was also very clean, people were constantly cleaning.

Some staff provided exceptional service. Some staff in the buffet dining area and Italian place are partial. They didn't bother about us because of our race. When we checked in the person at the kiosk was not even welcoming. Also, the person supposed to tour the property after checkin didn't even show anything except did marketing.

Unlimited VIP room service was great. Staff great. Food / restaurant was the only down side as all 4 regular restaurants taste buffet like and the one different restaurant of the 5 is premium, meaning extra charge in an all inclusive….

Hotel was good. We liked the hotel sponsored activities. The food was disappointing. Staff worked hard. Seemed like they were understaffed. The rooms were adequate but definitely need some furniture and drawers to unpack into. We asked for a rollaway bed and that was awesome. The location was great.

We loved the size of the property; smaller than the enormous resorts we’ve stayed at in the past. Every room is oceanfront, we had breakfast via room service every morning while enjoying coffee on the balcony! Our butler was exceptional and made everything seamless! The adult pool on the far side of the property had a swim up bar, the family pool was quiet, with few kids. Exceptional service and can’t wait to return.

The hotel, and grounds were beautiful, and well kept. We especially loved the Oceanview from our room, which was very clean. Food was amazing ! I want to give a big shoutout to the staff! Everyone was so friendly, and accommodating. Which is the main reason that I plan on returning to this resort. There are only a few things that I feel can be improved. #1 - Please don’t disguise salespeople as concierge. When I’m on vacation I do not like to waste the little time that I have listening to sales pitches. #2 It would be nice if you had more lounge chairs at the pool, and beach.

We did not receive the VIP upgrade as they said they were full. Edgar (concierge) was great and respected our wish. Everyone was nice, Carlos from Italian resto was great. All the restaurants were clean, efficient. All the staff were friendly. Great entertainment and my kids loved all the games. Only thing was the room was small and bathroom was very small and dated. Not crowded, but u still have to wake up early to reserve a lounge chair. Overall nice and cozy experience.

MUST READ HONEST REVIEW! I am a well traveled person and love it when reviews touch on all aspects. Hope this review is wonderfully helpful and informative for you. BEACH: Absolutely remarkable beach!!! Probably best stretch of sand in Cancun. Seaweed/sargassum is removed daily. Depending on the strength of the waves, there may be some in the water when you are swimming:). They have soccer and volleyball available right on the beach. The sunrise and set are unbelievable! POOLS: The 2 pools are freezing. This NEEDS to be corrected. You could hardly enter them or stay in for any length of time. We had 80 degree days and could have used some time in the pool, but the water temps were ridiculous. Made the adult only swim up bar unusable for most, which was in the shade for most of the day too. The adults only pool deck was wonderful. Great sun and plenty of chairs. I however did wake up at 7 a.m. each day to secure our chairs on the peninsula overlooking the ocean. Just loved this prime spot:) The iguanas loved hanging out there too (they did stay in the rocky/grassy area so don't fear). Waiters were great at coming around to fill drink orders. We had 24 oz insulated mugs that kept everything cold! ROOMS: We stayed in the Royal tower jacuzzi suite (adults only). It was remarkable. You get your own butler who will make all your dinner and cabana reservations. RESTAURANTS: Italian excellent Asian ok Mexican good buffet good coffee/snacks amazing Lack of entertainment

The location of the resort and my room was perfect. The room was clean and they are constantly cleaning around the property. The amenities were nice and were able to participate in several activities they offered. The breakfast buffet was the best, lunch and dinner was cold and I would recommend going off property to grab dinner. The service was great and everyone was very attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Long review: Pros: SOME of the staff was very nice and went above and beyond. Location was very central. Offered kids zone with different activities each day which was great. Pool chairs were available. Cons: Don’t come here with a baby in a stroller… their ramp is not always available you have to go through the back where it is locked… also not ADA accessible, late one night my husband and I had to help someone in a walker coming jn with their luggage. Only steps in the front. When we came in day one everyone greeted us but after that they didn’t even open the door for us (again we had to carry the stroller up and down the stairs) The beds were extremly hard. AC was terrible, they have them locked and they would not go below 22 C, we asked them to check it and they did and they said that’s hotel policy as low as it would go. 22 C felt very hot and humid. Upon check in we let them know we were a large party and asked if it would be hard to sit all of us together for dinner they said no as long as we did the buffet, (booked 3 rooms- 6 adults and 3 children) on two different occasions they gave us an extremly hard time, saying they could not put tables together, that they never do it and then Monica the hostess went as far as to tell my mother she had to step outside the buffet to wait, another waiter saw and he said they could do it… then Monica proceeded to warn my mother that this was an exception that we better not ask for it again. Just plain nasty and rude.

I travel to Mexico a few times a year and I definitely wouldn’t return to this hotel. The beds were unbearably hard. It felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The only place we enjoyed food was the Italian restaurant (Mario was amazing) the buffet dinner was absolutely disgusting. The mashed potatoes were soup (clearly instant). You have to make reservations for every restaurant besides the buffet. We got up in the morning to make a reservation for the Italian restaurant and by 9:00am they were already booked full. When you walk down the halls heading towards the front desk it is a hallway of nothing but sales people. They are pushing trying to sell you timeshares. You can only order room service every 24 hours (Very Limited menu).

The property is average size. Its family friendly. Great pool and activity for kids. Nice beach side too. Its not as updated as some of the larger properties in Cancun. That being said there are lots of stairs and not as user friendly if you have a hard time doing stairs. We had an interesting situation at the facility. On evening 2, when we got back to our room and it was time to settle into bed we found the electricity to several of the rooms on our floor was out and had been for most of the evening. We called front desk and let them know. They said theyd send somone up to check on it. After about 20 minutes we walked out to the hallway and found that several of the other people had the same situation, no electricity. No one ever came. So after over an hour i told my husband we needed to call again. At that time we told them electricity was not back and no one had come over. Perhaps we needed another room. The young lady on the other end of the phone asked.... How long ago did you call it in? We responded over an hour ago. To that she said, ok you qualify, you can pack up and we will get you into another room. They did put us into another room. However, we dont undertand why the facility didnt come forth and inform us of the situation. Not having electricity in cancun is A BIG DEAL. Had we not called again, they would have never made it right. That did not show well on the facility's part. We qualified for another room because we called twice!! Wow

Everything was great! It’s a little too loud in the mornings in the family suites… I can hear the cleaning ladies talking loudly, birds chirping, furniture being moved around above me and people screaming and yelling in the hallways…. I was woken every morning by this….. but besides that, everything was great.. I would totally stay there again…. Kids should be allowed to attend the restaurants, and the family suite shouldn’t be right beside the adult pool, especially when kids are not allowed in it
