Good trip with some reservations
There were good and bad aspects to the hotel. For example, on the good side; the hotel was well located (half way between the train station and down town), the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was big and comfortable. On the negative side; the hotel had the worst WIFI I ever experienced in a hotel and some of the towels and rugs were a bit worn. Overall it was a good experience.

Good Location to El Puerto Santa MAria
The hotel is great and I have stayed several times for work and pleasure, I has a nice pool area, indoor courtyard / terrace seating, amazing art through out the building, Rooms are nice, AC is good and good showers, Only think I noticed that I am not happy about is No Coffee or Tea Facilities in Room, and No Toiletries in the Bathroom, sounds silly but to me its just expected

My third time to stay in this hotel. Town centre location. Top class accommadation. Excellent breakfast for €10 - buffet. Lovely pool area. Friendly staff.

Disappointing stay
The bedroom was very old fashioned and it was located next to a very noisy street. There were some machines in the hotel next to the bedroom that made a horrible noise all through the night, which kept us awake all night. The bedroom was boring and lacked character without any pictures on the walls, flowers or ornaments. One of the bedside lamps was broken. The television was sitting on a table that blocked most of the mirror, which is nonsensical. The bathroom was old and in very poor condition, as were the wardrobes. The towels were old and very uncomfortable (too rough for the body and dry) The curtains in the bedroom were old and dirty with holes in them and there were several blood stains on the curtains. The swimming pool was nice, however, there was only one parasol available in the complete pool area and the parasol was broken. We’d booked to stay three nights, but we left the next morning after the first night because we weren’t going to endure any further discomfort. We received a refund but no compensation or any gesture of goodwill from the management for the inconvenience caused.

Esperaba más de este hotel
Ya había estado en otras ocasiones en El Puerto, pero nunca me había alojado aquí, lo veía muy "añejo". A pesar de ello y ante la insistencia de buen hotel de algunos familiares, opte por alojarme en él. En general, buenas instalaciones en los espacios comunes y con una decoración llamativa de anticuario. Un personal extraordinario y con una educación y atención excelentes. Sin embargo, costaba localizar las habitaciones por la señalización un tanto escasa y poco llamativa. Lo que supuso más de una vuelta entre los distintos "itinerarios". La habitación, corriente e impersonal, daba a un ojo de patio, estrecho. El aire acondicionado hubo que apagarlo. Había que optar entre: poder dormir y pasar calor, o no dormir y estar "fresquitos". El ruido era más que molesto. Aunque lo que más me llamó la atención fue el estado del cuarto de baño, limpio, muy limpio, pero donde se notaba el paso del tiempo y la falta de un mantenimiento adecuado, o de una modernización que reclama a voces, sobre todo, en los azulejos de la ducha. ¿Podría ser? El desayuno, variado y completo, con una atención esmerada de las personas que nos atendían. Felicidades. Otro elemento que cambiaría de sitio (seguro que no se puede), es la piscina. Demasiada umbría para mi gusto.
