This was my third time stay at B hotel in Barcelona for my family vacation. My first two visits were excellent and that was why we decided to go back to B hotel this year. However, this time, the experience was not what I would like. At the time of checking in, I felt that I was not welcomed. I do not know why but I could feel that. No mention of Expedia VIP access at all (which is OK). The Room assigned to us (we checked in at 2:30pm) was 'not good'. doors are missed in the toilet. Side tables were not in a good shape. View from the window was the wall of the building. I explained these immediately after checking in and I was told that another room can be given on the following morning. I checked the room availability, there were rooms available to sell. I had to think why we were given such a room (in relation to my feeling at the time of checking in). Following morning (10am), we left our back to get a different room for the afternoon (2pm). Jordi at the front desk was helpful on the second day. No room upgrade but a different room with a view of outside. Jordi later offered us a free breakfast which was a good gesture of welcoming and complications at the time of checking-in. B-hotel is not the same B-hotel I remember from previous visits. There are many hotels in BCN and comparing with others (we stayed at a different hotel this time as well), I wish to suggest the B-hotel manager to check how front desk handles guests from foreign countries
