Upon arriving at the location, we were unable to unload under the awning due to heavy traffic caused by the rain. Cars were sitting idling, and some were parked. Later, I discovered that one of the vehicles belonged to a staff member. When I entered the lobby, I saw a "potential" guest sitting with a full-grown pit bull in the dining area. Although the lobby appeared to be nice, the smell of marijuana was strong and potent. The elevator wait was long, almost minutes, due to only one elevator (left side) working the entire weekend. The inside of the elevator was dirty, with graffiti scratches on the inside. The room I stayed in was dingy, with a dirty tub/tile, broken light switch in the bathroom, mold on the ceiling, dirty hygiene bottles, no toilet paper holders, wallpaper peeling from the wall, and burn marks on the rugs. The actual shower handle broke off when my son tried to take a shower. The odor of cigarettes was present throughout the room. On more than one occasion, I asked for towels and was denied, being told there weren't any available. I had to use my own bleach cleaner and disinfectant to clean everything enough for my own comfort. I chose this property based on my great experience at a Sonesta Suites in Jacksonville a few years ago. However, this experience was an EPIC FAIL, and I would never choose or recommend this location. Should management care to see them, I am more than willing to share pictures.

This hotel is not up to date renovation wise. We had two hotel telephones provided for our room and they both did not work. When we need more towel, wash cloths and blankets or anything from the front desk we had to use our OWN phones or go down to the front desk. We called for the items stated previously and a WHOLE DAY went by before getting them but we had to walk to the front desk in order to get those items them. Why do guests have to come hunt down front desk agents in order to get something???!!!!! Then when we told them they just walked off and not tell us to follow them or that they will be right back. The worker goes into a close room and comes back out with the items and hands them to us! So we had to make our OWN BEDS! I never in my life had to make my own bed at a hotel, this experience was completely unprofessional!!!!!!! They had two elevators but only ONE was working and the one moved SO SLOW! Sometimes we would take the stairs (we were on the 4th floor) just because it took forever. The beds were worn in and uncomfortable, we woke up with back aches. The staff was unwelcoming and mute! We could tell that the staff did not want to be present and we saw them constantly lounging around and on their phones as if they were paying guests! I am currently waiting on corporate to get back to me. I don’t think I will ever go to a Sonesta select again!

The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, had a greasy bathroom floor, loud neighbors, no remote or working phone, broken room divider. After asking, we were moved to a new room that was better, but not great. People were smoking weed outside the side door, guests were very loud and the elevator didn’t work. Absolutely will not be back.

Staff is nice. Rooms have great space just a bit run down our bathroom vanity light did not work. Pillows are terrible. Rooms have musky smell. Asked for extra pillow stayed a week and still no pillow. Hallway stinks of smoke and weed. Elevator is unappealing and unkept. Breakfast was decent. No ice machine on our floor. Would be better if better kept. Decent if just sleeping there.

My stay here was fine. The place was clean, there was breakfast, And even a small snack bar up front to buy from. However on the app it mentions that they are pet friendly. My family only had money for the two nights so we could stay there, They mention nothing about a pet fee and once I bring my dog in one of the workers tells me their will be a pet fee so we took him to my aunt’s. The next morning when we tried paying the pet fee another employee told us to not worry about the fee as if it was on the house. Later that night I then see the employee that agreed to charge me (this time with my dog) I explain that his co-worker gave us an “Okay” to bring the dog in and have to pay the fee. He proceeds to tell me that he is on the verge of getting fired and it does not matter what his co-worker told us. Then adds on that if the $75 pet fee was not paid by 11pm then it would turn into a $250 fee. We later spoke to the manager and got things sorted out. The place is nice and convenient but the customer service is HORRIBLE. I do not recommend.

This hotel needs major work. The cleanliness, the staff, and facilities need upgrading. People were hanging out in the lobby. The staff could not get equipment to work. It felt like this was a place for people who are experiencing displaced living.

This property had a great check in experience but when I got to the room, there were pink stains on the carpet, the soap looked old and looked like it was used, there was only one towel, there were no usb chargers, the cable on the tv didn’t work, and overall didn’t look like the room was cleaned at all.

One thing about this hotel should put back the bathroom Ventilation for some reason the bathroom ventilation was taken out.Due to all the airborne diseases I recommend they put back ventilation in all the bathrooms proper ventilation is needed in this era and plumbing is terrible the bathroom sink was not draining properly I have to request to move my room for them to send in a repair guy in my room.

The entire floor we stayed on smelled like pot. You couldn’t escape the smell. It gave us a headache. Our room floor was not cleaned. There was a hair pick on the floor beside the couch and a bubble wand on the bathroom floor not to mention tiny pieces of debris. The carpet was oily as well. The hallway carpet had not been vacuumed either. And the hall walls had dark splatter stains and scuffs. The elevators were just as dirty with ghost images of removed graffiti. They had no soaps, and I was given a padded fitted mattress cover when I requested an extra blanket. The housekeepers sat on their phones and did not wipe the tables as people finished their breakfast. Had to request them to wipe the table and seats. They didn’t speak English so I had to mime the request before they figured out what I was asking. (Yes, the same workers who were on their phones.) The front desk was pleasant and friendly, however. While the actual room was spacious, the beds were cramped and uncomfortable. Way too small for double occupancy. Breakfast was a full bar with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, juices, bagels, fruit, etc. It was a nice contrast to the run-down dirty building itself. New elevators, beds, paint, and floors absolutely needed. Elevators were slow. The location was what we needed, however, for our stay, so had deal with everything being sub-par.

This is the first hotel we have stayed at in a while that we haven't had to spray air fresher when we walked in. It smelled ckean and you could tell it gets cleaned regular. We usually soray air freshener, turn the air on and leave for a while just because othe rooms usually smell like the door has not been opened in a while...not thus place. Friendly folks, and an awesome breakfast and a beautiful room fir a great price.

I got there and had to switch to 3 different rooms the 1st room had big loud fans in there drying the floor while smelling like mildew .. 2nd room toilet was broke and tv didn’t work brown stuff in the sink .. 3rd room smelt like weed the toilet was very loud and the whole floor smelt like mildew as well i told the man at the front desk and he said i can’t do anything about it…. 0 STARSSSSSSS

I prefer no one too book at this property house keeping is very rude barely speak English customer service is horrible they don’t have a microwave in the room refrigerator don’t get cold carpet dirty inside the rooms breakfast nasty and there’s never no one at the front desk this is th worst hotel to stay at
