This hotel is in an ideal location for any activity in downtown Albany, but it is clearly in need of major remodelling and repair. Our room door looked dangerously close to falling out of the frame; the many signs warning guests to lock up their car and valuables suggests that the hotel is not safe.

well-priced and convenient

The room had signs of filth throughout. The phone was disgusting, there were pockets of dust and dirt throughout the rooms in the corners. The Soap didn't even lather up or smell nice. The mattresses although had clean linens were on extremely low quality mattresses that were uncomfortable to sleep on. The continental breakfast wasn't good, as there were mostly sugary cereals and muffins and no real juice only sugary fruit punch. They could have had at least hard boiled eggs. The only upside was the price. This is at most a 1.5 star hotel and probably a 1 star. Not the 2 star rating on Expedia for sure.

This hotel has seen better days and is well worn. It is fine for the budget traveller who does not expect refined surroundings or service. The room was clean enough, the heat and hot water worked. It was supposed to be non-smoking but the odor of smoking from some past time was noticable. The price was right and I was willing to accept the downside. I would not bring my wife and family here on a vacation however.

My husband left his socks on the floor during the night and there was bed bugs in his socks and on our suitcase. We discovered this after we left and I called the hotel and I was yelled at and wasn't even able to talk. I could see if I called up yelling and upset but I just wanted them to know about the situtation. I am a business owner and geees I would think that he would be concerned about a problem like that. Very unprofessional! The floor in the room was wet and the rugs were NASTY The bathrooms were not clean. The pics are VERY misleading. The laundry area was sooo dirty, rusty and has a latch on the dryer because the door wouldn't stay shut. Breakfast was horrible (not fresh) and nothing that I would ever eat. We asked for extra pillows (the pillows were so flat) and waited a few hours and had to go back and she said she forgot. Waste of money!!!!

This hotel should be used as a once in a lifetime experience of the worst hotels that you can encounter. I am not picky by any means and do understand that they offer rooms from (cant say it here, against the rules), bu this is just the beginning of the story. Greeted by rude and very unprofessionally dressed woman who had her child running around and her husband standing on the other side of the counter, making constant remarks and comments. Walking through the hotel you will see why its discussing. The smell is horrendous. Carpet has visible MOLD on it. I've read the reviews before i went, but i thought people exaggerated. They didn't. Once in the room it smelled like a cigarettes more than anything. Asked to move us to another room. The lock was broken. Gave us a third room. Chased us down the corridor to give us another room, because that one was occupied already. The list goes on and on...from broken patio door to non working hair blower to nasty breakfast with milk spilled all over the place. By the way show up early for breakfast because if you are an hour late you will not be able to get coffee or those nasty looking mini muffins that had a coat of oil on them from standing several days. I just turned around and left before i picked up a salmonella or some other nasty disease. I've been to 3rd world countries and they have better hottels for this price. And if they don't have the amenities, they equal it with friendly and prompt service. That's what separates good business practices and failing business. SERVICE. Sorry for any misspelling. I refuse to spend anymore time to tell you how disseminated i am....If you don't want to have a bad memory in your travels or vacation. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Thanks

The room size and ammenities were nice but the room was not very clean. Hotel hallways had odors and my room smelled very strongly of toilet bowl cleaner or some other disinfectant. Hopefully they will do some real cleaning and sanitization soon.

This place is a dump! The pictures on the site are nothing like the hotel. It smelled like milldew and the toilet in the bathroom wouldn't stop running. I've stayed at many hotels and this was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at.
